The team rotated for various stages of the project: demo, reconstruction, carpentry, tile and finish work. They worked with our current plumber as we had determined that at the outset. Mike or Brian were on site at least once a day and they were always available to stop by if any issues popped up. The house was built in the 1920s and the bathroom was original to the house, so unexpected issues were inevitable, i.e. deteriorating pipes discovered when the walls came down. These bumps along the way were handled skillfully and effortlessly and they walked us thru their recommended solutions at every turn. The team was professional, knowledgeable, friendly & respectful. We were able to work from home without any interruptions or concerns. The work itself was top-notch as everyone on the team was skilled in many different areas. If a tile issue came up when the carpentry guys were on-site, they were able to seamlessly switch gears and solve the problem. They sought our input and kept us in the loop every step of the way. They offered suggestions and solutions that made us confident in our decision to use them for such a large project. They took care to finish every last detail and a few weeks after the bathroom was completed, Mike stopped by to fix an AC vent cover that got stuck in the shut position when re-installed. Little things like that is what sets them apart from other contractors we've worked with in the past. The Giovannucci Brothers communicated with us in a clear, straightforward manner so there were no surprises. We always go in to these types of projects with a bit of anxiety, but our concerns disappeared once construction began. I don't think I've ever been treated so poorly by a business in my life. I finally realized why they didn't want the work after a few months of talking to other contractors. My job wasn't a huge renovation, kitchen, etc; it was one simple set of stairs, with some detailed molding. This wouldn't have been worth their time, I guess, so they blew me off. Don't waste your time with these people, unless you want to be treated like garbage. Also found out they've been sued numerous times, in Swampscott if not other towns.

When we did connect it was just a bunch of broken promises and more lies as to when he would be able to do the job. At one point he came over with some materials while I was home and promised my wife and I that he would have a full crew over next day and would "bang the job out" as he said. Well no surprise he never showed up. I chased him down via text and finally got a response that he would be over next day. On the next day a sub-contractor of his showed up and started the job. The guy worked most of the day and when he was leaving I asked if he was coming back and he said "not sure" haven't been able to reach Chris. The guy also said Chris owed him payment for past work he was looking to collect on. In any event next day the sub-contractor shows up at 7:30am, pulls into my driveway, sits for about 5 min and then leaves. I reached out to Chris to see what was going on and I get a reply that all is OK and he would be back with some tools that were needed for the job. I waited several more hours but no one showed up. I try repeatedly to connect with Chris but he would not respond. Finally I had had enough and told him via text that I was all done with his games and would find someone else to complete the job which I did! My advice stay away from this guy. Has no clue how to run a business!

Not to mention how fast and effective he and his team were at finishing the renovations before our baby arrives.
