Matt showed up promptly. I explained what I was looking for, which was black aluminum fence and a gate going into the pool area. He sent me a quote 3 days later. We agreed on a start date. He was polite, easy to talk to and very professional. He definitely earned 5 STARS.

I decided to go with Roof Kings because based off of four criteria: 1. Quality installation 2. Equipment 3. Warranty and coverage 4. Price Roof Kings installed hundreds of homes and are one of the largest roofers in the city with over 20 years of professional roofing experience. They also provided high quality shingles, presented me with multiple types, and let me choose what I thought to be the best value and quality. They were also able to do the roof quick, within a week and the job would have taken 1-2 days max, which was important to me. Price wise, they were not the cheapest (due to all the insurance the company holds being general liability, workers comp, auto.) but they were not the most expensive. Right in the middle. Honestly, I probably would have chosen them even if they were the most expensive. I felt comfortable when talking to the owner about his background and experience and felt that he was most knowledgeable and competent to do the job. More importantly, I had an issue with a small are near my window a year after the installation. The owner immediately came over, and within a couple of weeks, remedied the issue at no cost to me. How you service me after I give you my money... that's something we don't know tis something happens. The last thing I want, is for a contractor to win the business and then dodge my call when I need service done. This showed that they stand by their word and warranty. Service couldn't better!

It was later discovered that they had failed to properly install the original drainage system back, because the rainwater stayed on the roof and couldn't be drained away. It used cheap glue, perhaps because the canal was submerged in water for a long time and started to loose after two years. At the beginning there were only two or three places, but later there were more and more loose and later, bubbles began to appear in many places. It turns out that the entire new replacement was not built to standard. It's very difficult for ordinary people like us to notice. Therefore, you need to consider this before choosing them.

We had our kitchen renovated and even after we hit a major snag and had a few hiccups, they remained dedicated to completing the job well, rather than rushing through. There were a few instances where our finished surfaces weren't covered after installation and work was still going on (cabinets, countertop, floors) and it would have been great to have them protected right after installation without us asking, but nonetheless they always followed through on our requests and respected our wishes as the homeowners and the finished kitchen came out great. The crew was respectful and we always felt like they really worked hard to ensure we were happy. Beckmann construction very clearly knows what they are doing and are great at it. Now I'm concerned about all the other flashing on my roof, that was probably damage during the roof job, that I won't know about until I see the leaks In my house interior.

Naturally I reached out to Len Gibely. What was their response? "Unfortunately we are not taking on any new roof repairs at this time. We are currently booked 8 months out. Maybe try reaching out to the company that installed your roof?" Ok. So apparently there is a waiting list of people with actively leaking roofs willing to wait 8 months to have them repaired? Len Gibely must have branched out into mold remediation as well as roofing. And as they must surely know, since I've been a customer of theirs for so long, that the 203k construction company that rehabbed the house isn't going to be come back for a roof repair 9 years later - they only do total rehabs. If you want a company you can depend on, look somewhere besides Len Gibley. By the way, what's up with the reversal of the Gibely and the Len?

Bruno may not mean to scam you, but he will take your money and then do nothing for months. He will not apply for permits, and he will tell you your town/city is the problem. He will blame every delay or broken promise on circumstances outside of his own control. During that time, he will use your money to finish his other projects or (probably) pay his other bills. If you ask for your money back, he will tell you he has bought materials but never provide any proof. If you call Bruno out for his poor performance, he will gaslight you and again blame everyone but himself, including you. I decided to work with Bruno despite a few bad reviews. I figured everyone makes mistakes. But when Bruno makes them, he will not make them right. The only reason I have not pursued a lawsuit against him is that lawyers cost money and Bruno has a history of not paying the settlements against him. It's possible that Bruno has improved his business practices in the year since we last interacted, but I wouldn't bet on it. Neither should you.
