I tried this clinic a few times and sadly mostly negative experiences. The front desk is at least…read morefriendly and the app is easy to use. I was first with Audrey, she repeatedly restated my situation incorrectly so not listening. For example I said I didn't have any friends I felt I could discuss my situation with so she repeated back that I had a good support system. She canceled our next appointment day of so I left a vm to reschedule. Office took weeks to call back. 2nd try was a CNP as Audrey left, when CNP are not trained as therapists. She warned me a drug rep may enter, so not HIPAA compliant. I just wanted someone to listen, but she talked the entire time making false assumptions and suggestions I had already tried. 3rd appt I had a work emergency come up so I was forced to late cancel. I was charged a late notice fee of $75 when the office had done the same to me already, was I supposed to charge a late notice fee? Life happens to everyone. The office is also pretty hard to reach. Sadly I do not recommend this office.

First, their front desk staff are rude and overzealous. If you are ill, you can be expected to wait 2 months for the next available appointment or go to an urgent care, when your physician might have squeezed you in. The scheduling only seems to allow for well-patient visits. This may be because UH requires that each visit last only for 15 minutes, putting pressure on physicians to be caring, accurate, and able to diagnose and treat every single thing in 15 minutes. This is not the fault of the practitioners, but rather the system. And is reflected in UH's low abysmal ratings. But really, the front desk staff is reliably awful at this location.

In trying to find out about a drug prescribed for me by one of the other counselors, I hit a brick wall. Twice I have had a prescription refused by my insurance provider. I have tried to resolve this asking if there is a different Rx the insurance might approve as I can't afford the large out of pocket expense. The counselor who prescribed these is either not in or will not return calls. The office staff person who said she would call back did not call and is not in, nor will the other staff member assist me. She said "I don't want to get involved." It's never a good sign when a mental health agency destroys your mental health with its poor behavior. In addition, the prescribing counselor also ordered a drug that we had just agreed I would stop taking. I had no way to stop the order or to reach the counselor. I had to pay for something I no longer can use. Benhaven Counseling is becoming increasingly useless.
