My husband uses McKinney Locksmith. Today was my first time going in. The owners were nice and friendly. He answered ALL my questions and was able to remove the broken key in the deadbolt we brought in. His selection of blank keys is amazing! He has educator blanks. Yep, I bought it! I bought 3 blanks. Excellent response and service. I needed keys for a 25 year old truck topper shell. Called them, he said no problem. Went on over he checked out the lock and went and cut a key. Worked on the first try. Got 2 new keys. Very well satisfied. read more

Very helpful for anything from the obvious (car / house entry given lost keys or making copies of keys) to the mundane (creating new lock cores) to the more challenging (opening or replacing broken locks - whether they're of the house, file cabinet, etc. variety). These folks know what they're doing and work professionally and efficiently. They've re-cored all of my office locks (file cabinet, padlock, and internal / external door locks), made copies of file cabinet locks that got lost, helped me get things open, and more over the years. Personally, they've helped friends with car lock issues and have changed the locks at my house after a bad boyfriend. Never had any issues with their timeliness, professionalism, and efficiency. Awesome service. Plus, the landscaping outside their office is very cute - it makes me smile when I drive by in the spring / summer / early fall. I appreciate a business that goes above and beyond to be a good neighbor. read more

I needed a door to be re-keyed in a new business in Lebanon Junction. The door had not been opened for 18 years. Mr McKinney got the door opened and re- keyed the door. He was very helpful and friendly. I had another key that needed to be made to a lock box and one more time again we went to his place of business and he made a copy told my husband it may not work. He gave the key to my husband free of charge and it worked. These folks know what they're doing and work professionally and efficiently. I would recommend this man to anyone who needs a locksmith. read more

I lost the key to my Jeep Wrangler, and I needed to use it Monday morning. When I called the number, it stated they were open M-F 0800-1700, but the recording gave a number for emergencies. I called it and left a message since it was Sunday and I needed it fixed that day. Somebody returned my call in less than an hour and said they could be there in about 4 hours. Great. I asked for a quote (non-electronic key) and was quoted $120. It seemed a bit high to me (no expert in this area) but I wasn't in a position to argue - I called just about every locksmith in the area and they are all closed on Sundays. I agreed and he showed up at 1530 as he said he would. Prompt! It took about 45 minutes to make me two keys that fit all the doors and most importantly started the ignition. He gave me the bill and charged me $105 since there were no issues. Not that it matters too much, but the guy who fixed everything was McKinney himself, and his work vehicle is a nice van that is nicely advertised with his company (not some creepy chili-mo van that lots of contractors seem to have). Very professional. Great work, and the price was less than quoted. read more

Had an opportunity to use Mr. McKinney at my business yesterday and it was a very efficient process. Upon the initial call to inquire, he was very helpful and quick to respond to the call. Although he had to travel from some distance, very quick to arrive and resolve the issue with the lock on our front entry door. Very reasonably priced as well. Fast, easy, friendly service. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. I tried on two separate occasions to get a key cut at a nearby hardware store and was turned away both times.
