**Wasted TWO WEEKS only to tell me he is unable to do the work**…read more This is not a professional place for any real work that needs to be done. First of all, ED doesn't run this place anymore. It's a young guy named Greg. So the previous reputation earned no longer applies. He was ornery from the start with an attitude about making an appointment and how it's far out. The thing is, if you keep mistreating people the work will dry up. Greg held my keys hostage for a week after telling me he would take a look at what the problem is. Then his little feelings got hurt when I went over AFTER A WEEK admittedly frustrated that he hadn't even as much as called to let me know he didn't have time so I could take it elsewhere. I suspect he enjoyed his wee little power trip. I had an appointment made for 2 weeks so I decided to just wait it out. Day of appointment, the shop doesn't open until after 10 (even though they say 9) and he tells me he can't work "with me" "we're not a good fit" bud, just say you're not competent enough to do the work and you need a therapist to unpack your trauma. This joker is confusing being a professional with some kind of relationship boundary. If you're a woman, steer clear of this place. The guy running the show has serious female bias. Yes, I know the location is convenient but it's not worth it. Go up the street to the guys on Braddock.

I am always deeply suspicious of recommended services that would be add-ons to my bill whenever I go to a repair shops, but everything Autosmith has advised was not only necessary, but repaired inexpensively and efficiently. They certainly guarantee their work, as well. For example, they worked on my husband's Subaru to diagnose a tire system issue, and they had the car in several times at no charge (it turned out multiple sensors were faulty, but it was a difficult repair and they did some of the labor for nothing). Everyone is friendly and helpful. Tanya, at the reception desk, doesn't come in until 10 AM and makes clear that she leaves promptly in the afternoon. That could be an issue for people who work late, so make sure you understand when you're able to pick your car up and when not. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Autosmith.

Came in with some brake issues, they replaced rear brakes and calipers. Within 24 hours of getting the vehicle back, the caliper they installed had failed and left me stranded, waiting on them to get me back in to replace it AGAIN. 2. Came in with my car making some loud noises in the rear. They insist the issue is with my exhaust flanges and quote me $1,200 for the work. I take the car for a second opinion and they laugh at me for thinking I have exhaust issues. The exhaust looked fine and it was a rear wheel bearing that had failed. Frick Park Auto sent me away from their shop to drive with a failed wheel bearing. When I contacted them about this, I was told "We don't catch everything..." 3. Another wheel bearing they had replaced for me had failed after ONLY 12,000 miles. While they agreed that was incredibly unusual, they were unwilling to look at the car any further to see if this was endemic of a larger rear end issue. I was told there was nothing they could do and to "keep my ears open." If that is the mentality you have when putting your family in your vehicle - these are the guys for you! Personally, I would like a little more assurances that my family is going to be safe when I put them in the car. Not to mention I have seen them smoke in customer's cars and they are incredibly rude if you ask any questions.
