After disembarking from the ship to the airport, my flight was 10 hours later. Having no experience at all, I would have thought this would not happen. A few hours I can understand. Not 10 hours. Travel agents should know the appropriate information. Never even should anyone have to wait like this. If I travel again, I will not go through AAA. In the process of installing a spare tire, the tech cross-threaded two lug nuts and told me it was…read moregood to go. I went directly to the tire store which replaced the flat tire but could not install it due to the cross-threading. They sent me to a mechanic who was able to cut the two lug nuts off then found they needed to replace the wheel hub. The lug nuts had stretched out the sockets which meant it didn't turn properly and developed flat spots where it should be curved. I complained to AAA and they told me to take pictures of the damaged parts and send them on. I did so. Their first response was that liability could not be determined based on the pictures. I sent more pictures. They offered to pay half the cost of the new hub as a gesture of "good will". What did they think caused the damage? I'll never know. And I'm out half the cost of the new hub. On the plus side, the AAA tech was very prompt!

In a world of point, click and automated response phone systems, this is a welcome difference. Over the past two years, I had a unique insurance need on an investment property out of state. The local insurance people in the area would not touch renewing a policy on a 200 year old house and barn that were converted into townhouse apartments, with a failing roof, wet basement, etc. I was at wits end and thought, what would the folks at Gramlich insurance think. I knew could not write a policy as they were not licensed in that state, but wanted their advice. Well, was I surprised. They took the time to listen, call several partner agents out of state, worked with them to explain my situation and secured insurance at the same rate I was paying previously. The folks at Gramlich Insurance, didn't just dump me on the partner agent and move on, 1. They discussed my history with the agent they worked with out of state and 2. Established a repair plan by priority to lower my rates over time to address the items that were giving me the higher risk. Wish these guys could write policies in NJ and VT!

I called to say the bank wants proof of insurance they said no problem and 3 weeks later i get a notice from the bank that there putting insurance on the house.
