As one that rarely sees a doctor, when I had to get a surgical clearance I found it was not easy to…read moredo. My surgery was out of town, so I first tried several (like 8) semi-local places I found online in several cities, as well as the local primary care physician. The obstacles here were numerous- the PCP had to "approve" me, and it would be at least a month to see him. Next, I found most urgent care businesses either would not or could not do the lab work and ECG my surgeon needed. I found a place (Care Spot) near the surgeon's office (2.5 hours away) and had to come back and wait several hours for an "appointment". The receptionist unlike the business name was not caring, and never mentioned fasting for the blood work. Since we had like 3 hours until my "appointment" to come back and wait several more hours, my wife & I stopped and had lunch. While there, I got a call from the business and was asked if I had been fasting? I said yes, right up until I had lunch, as no one had said anything about it while we were there earlier. I cancelled the "appointment" and we drove home. A couple of days later, my wife had an appointment in Thomasville, so we stopped in to Doctor's Care. The first thing I noticed was the green circle gun sign- meaning the business had no irrational fear of defensive weapons. I appreciated the wording on it so much I took a picture and added it for this review. Inside, this receptionist was very caring, and helpful. I saw there were a couple of Bibles in the reading material as well. This place was outstanding! It was 180 degrees out from Care Spot. No coming back, they don't do appointments, and the remainder of the staff including the doctor were very friendly. He even diagnosed a minor issue I had and told me he could handle it on my next visit. BTW, no fasting required. I was in and out within a couple of hours and they will have my lab work back in a day's time. More icing on the cake- they were $40 cheaper than Care Spot. :) Doctor's Care is an example of a properly-operated urgent care facility. I would strongly encourage anyone needing timely and quality care to go here.

I was given a date for termination and before that date came I called about meds and a couple of issues I was alarmed about and got a call I couldn't get to so I called back and never before had it rang so long finally after two minutes I was told that they were not accepting messages from me without so much as a referral. I've been to this office numerous times, have always left feeling appreciated, but not today. I was put in to see the Nurse practitioner Kristin. She was NOT friendly, didn't even acknowledge me as a person. She didn't even look at my chart, tests ordered and performed by THEIR office, didn't discuss refills of medication prescribed by THEIR office, didn't listen to my responses to her questions. All she could tell me is that I needed to avoid sugary foods, sweet tea, sodas, lemonade, this AFTER I told her I didn't do sugar. She told me she promised that if I avoided sugary foods that I would lose weight. I understand that I'm overweight, but all of my issues came on me BEFORE I "got fat", and I DON'T eat sugary foods, drink sweet tea, soda, or lemonade. If I am forced to see her again I will not go back to this office. It's a shame that a wonderful office would be degraded by a rude nurse practitioner.

The only reason this review got two stars from me is because of Dr. "B", who really deserves five…read morestars. Unfortunately, he works here. My mom had an appointment (we were referred by another specialist). We waited for nearly an hour to be seen after about 35 minutes, I went to the front desk to ask if the doctor is running late (as in, if he is, shouldn't the patients be informed of this????). The young lady dismissively informed me that there is always at least a 30-minute wait - as if this is something to be proud of and as if this is normal. I mentioned that at the very least, customers should be informed of this ahead of time. It really irks me to think that some doctor offices just feel that the patient's time doesn't matter and is just not taken into consideration at all. Being this late can cause a ripple effect, especially when patients/customers have other appointments as well. We finally got in to see the doctor and he was just super nice; he did apologize for the wait. I really appreciated him taking the time to answer questions and let my mom know the next steps. Additionally, though the area that does glasses got my mom's glasses wrong the first time, they were quite professional in making sure they corrected the problem. All in all, for anyone who makes an appointment at this place, be sure you have loads of time because you will be there a while!

I came to Dr. Burnette with a terrible case of epididymitis. He put me on different antibiotics…read morethree times, but he never kept me on them long enough to kill the infection. It was a span of eight months of me fighting with his nurse assistant begging for drugs. He kept requesting MRI's and Ultrasounds. None of them made a difference. In fact, I haven't been asked for a follow up since his las prescribed ultrasound. What happened was, he let the infection come back so many times I had to get an epididymectomy from another doctor. YOU DON'T WANT THAT. Trust me. FUCK this dude.
