The only thing I have encountered was long waits and the last couple years were much better. I have never encountered rudeness or felt the staff was incompetent. I'm empathetic and sorry for this happening to anyone. What some people don't realize is this is Ophthalmology which handles medical problems with eyes. If you're just going to have an exam and need glasses or contacts, you should go to an optometrist. It is less expensive. I have been going here 2x/year (every 6 mths) for 15 years. I have ocular hypertension, MCTD, and for the last two years, cataracts. The medication I use for autoimmune diseases can cause color blindness and of course, ocular hypertension can develop into glaucoma. I was referred to ophthalmology (from optometrist) as is other patients with medical condition(s) of the eyes. Wishing all the best... read more

The only reason this review got two stars from me is because of Dr. "B", who really deserves five stars. Unfortunately, he works here. My mom had an appointment (we were referred by another specialist). We waited for nearly an hour to be seen after about 35 minutes, I went to the front desk to ask if the doctor is running late (as in, if he is, shouldn't the patients be informed of this????). The young lady dismissively informed me that there is always at least a 30-minute wait - as if this is something to be proud of and as if this is normal. I mentioned that at the very least, customers should be informed of this ahead of time. It really irks me to think that some doctor offices just feel that the patient's time doesn't matter and is just not taken into consideration at all. Being this late can cause a ripple effect, especially when patients/customers have other appointments as well. We finally got in to see the doctor and he was just super nice; he did apologize for the wait. I really appreciated him taking the time to answer questions and let my mom know the next steps. Additionally, though the area that does glasses got my mom's glasses wrong the first time, they were quite professional in making sure they corrected the problem. All in all, for anyone who makes an appointment at this place, be sure you have loads of time because you will be there a while! read more

Thomasville Eye Center - Internal Medicine Near Me - Thomasville, Georgia

Thomasville Eye Center recieves five stars from me. The back of the house has diverse personalities and a wonderful sense of positivity! From once my name is called from the lobby to go back I am treated like a true individual. I am given time to talk about any issues I may have and I feel reassured that things will be resolved or cared for. I thoroughly enjoyed the technicians and all the hard work them and the scribes do to help the doctor resolve my problems. I had the technician Jessie, and she had loud sense of humor and a warming friendly personality I would definitely come back for any small or big problem. read more

you overbook your patients for appointments. I had a routine appointment for my elderly mom. After 50+ minutes of waiting after our scheduled appointment, in a freezing cold waiting room, we left because she started shaking even though wearing a heavy sweater read more

Be ready to wait for a very long time, they are always behind. The nurses was nice and did good job. The glasses store was nice with some good selection with 2 very nice women that took time with me and was nice. But this business should be ashamed of how they let some employees act. The old lady at the front desk barks out orders to sit down and is very rude. Then the pregnant red headed girl was so mean to a customer and her mother i feel sorry for the people that have to work with them the bosses out not let employees act like that. read more

The older woman at the front desk is rude, impatient and dismissive. First the office has a lot of signs stating face masks are required. I don't have an issue with this, what I have an issue with is this same receptionist didn't have The mask on correctly. She only had her mouth and lower face covered instead of her nose. Evidently the mask was too large and kept sliding down and she was clueless. I politely asked her to verify if my insurance was accepted. She glanced at me and the card and in a snippy voice said no. I called back the next day and asked the same question about my insurance and was told oh yes we take that insurance. That woman blatantly lied! This place won't get a dime of my money!!! read more

They friggin' called the cops on me because they THOUGHT I was using a credit card illegally. Instead of calling the cops and having me arrested right in the clinic, they went behind my back AFTER I showed up at the clinic to resolve the issue (Nothing was illegal AT ALL, they just THOUGHT it was), and had the sheriff and the police show up at my house for absolutely NO reason. This has now tarnished my reputation and one of the cops involved lives right behind me. Talk about being forced to live in a fish bowl now. I will NEVER do business with this clinic again. They need to have proof before making accusations like this and overreacting. I have to live with their mistake now and they don't care. Thanks for nothing! Very disgruntled customer! read more

The absolute worst experience I have ever had at a medical practice. There are so many problems and mistakes and inept people working there it's hard to know where to start. On the phone I told the woman that I was making the appointment specifically for a contact lens prescription. She said that the fee would be $85, but when I checked out it was almost $170 because they "filed under medical". I had no idea what that meant and no one explained it. The real problem came when they wanted another $110 to "fit" the trial pair of contact lenses they were going to order. I would not pay that and so I left with no contact lens prescription and no contact lenses. I spoke with the practice manager and thought we had worked out the situation. She agreed that I should have only been charged $85 and she waived the "fitting charge". About two weeks later I got a phone call to come pick up my trial pair of contacts lenses, which I did today. Except... They would not give them to me. Once again they said I needed an appointment with the optometrist and that there would be a fitting fee. Never ever ever have I seen a practice run this poorly. If they'll just give me all of my money back I will never step foot in there again read more
