When I got there this morning, I barely had a chance to sit down before they were calling my number and I went ahead of About 10 other people. Apparently you can walk in, but I was told I had to have an appointment. I guess I'm glad I did. It would've been better to have gotten in sooner and I wouldn't have mind waiting, but I was seen immediately and I was in and out in five minutes. The person who helped me was very pleasant and the whole thing was nice.

She told my son to drop him off there when he was on his way to work and my adult brother was stranded in Harvard. My adult son thought the ER-Tech would bring my adult brother back to me or call me to pick up him. She did neither one. She kept him against his will, took him home to her house against his will and threw him into a nursing home claiming he had dementia when she knew damn well he was born intellectually disabled. The ER-Tech is a low level CNA who cannot diagnose anyone but told the doctors at the hospital the lie that my brother had demenita. She then took a case to court to become his guardian without notifying family members. The judge and Guardian Ad Litem were unaware that my brother had family. He was living with us. I was his care taker in Wisconsin. The CNA not only kept my brother captive at the Northwestern hospital, she kept him captive in her home for a short time and then locked him up in a nursing home to this day (almost 2 years later.) We have been trying to fight the guardianship. She took over his bank account. She spent his SSI on her clothes and her groceries, she is now spending all of his new inheritance that the CNA was able to intercept and spend from the bank account of my brother. She is not blood related to my disabled adult brother. She is an ex-sister-in-law that divorced our oldest brother in the 1980s. not to mention, our late mother hated this woman since she never paid our mother a lot of money since the 1980s. My mother never forgot it. The inheritance came from my mother's property after she died in 2021. The hospital should be held accountable for the actions of the CNA ER-Tech Sheena May. I will send this here and then pursue this legally against the hospital for the actions of their employee, Sheena May. She claims she worked here for 29 years. This facility was not here 29 years ago. She is a habitual liar. She is a very mentally unstable thief and kidnapper from your Northwestern Medicine hospital.

REALID UPDATE! This…read moreDMV is the best! The best service, efficient processes, and shorter than average wait times. I came here on a "walk-in" Saturday for getting my license updated for REALID. The facility opened at 7:30am and I got in the outdoor line at 7:20am. There were probably about 50-60 people ahead of me and after the doors opened it took about 25min for me to get in the building. When I finally got to talk to a human, it was about a 1 hour wait overall. They confirmed I had the proper documents and then it was a 10 min wait to get my photograph taken. From there, I sat about 20 minutes in a waiting area to get my documents scanned and pay the fee ($5 + $1 card fee). Once I did get to the teller, Marcie (who was very kind), it was about 10 min for processing and scanning. After that, a 3 min wait to get my printed temporary REALID, until it comes in the mail in 2 weeks. In and out in just less than 2 hours. I had headphones to keep me entertained. My advice is that if you can get there by 7:00am, you'll have a real shot at getting out of there in an hour. Don't go anywhere else! This is the best. PS. There's a sign hanging in one of the offices that reads, "You don't have to be crazy to work here, we'll train you." If that's not the best example of self-awareness ever, I don't know what is.

This review is for the virtual library services. With the pandemic in full swing, I have been…read moredoing more virtual events this year. With most of the places I love going to being in lockdown, there is plenty of time at home to take in these events. McHenry Library partnered with John Gowing, a teacher in England for 32 years, then a London Blue Badge tour guide for 11 years, to present a virtual tour of Westminster Abbey. While most definitely an Englishman, John reside in Huntley, IL, after marrying an American and presents talks on British history, culture and London tourist attractions for local groups. The hour long presentation consisted of John speaking on the history of the Abbey, along with showing photos of the architecture and various tombstones in the Abbey. John was very engaging and had a lot of great antidotes to the tour. Having toured the Abbey three times pre-covid, this was a nice trip down memory lane and definitely easier on the feet. He has his own Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AVeryBritishSubject/?ref=page_internal. Kudos to McHenry library for setting up this event. Tour itself went smoothly and there weren't any technical hiccups. One of my favorite parts of touring the Abbey are the different people buried there and the ten modern martyr statues above the west doorway. The lower part of the towers are 15th century and the tops of the towers were completed in 1745. There were never any statues in this space, although it was obviously intended that they should. The space was empty until 1998 when martyrs of the 20th century were added. The ten statues represent people who have died in circumstances of oppression and persecution: Kolbe from Poland, Manche Masemola from South Africa, Janani Luwum from Uganda, Grand Duchess Elizabeth of Russia, Martin Luther King Jr from the USA, Oscar Romero from El Salvador, Dietrich Bonhoeffer from Germany, Esther John from Pakistan, Lucian Tapiedi from Papua New Guinea and Wang Zhiming from China. The Archbishop of Canterbury unveiled the statues in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II in July 1998. Four different sculptors carried out the statues which are carved from French Richemont limestone. After doing this virtual tour, I decided to check out the library to see what other events they had scheduled and ended up getting an e-card. I have not been to a library in years except to possibly vote. It was easy to set up the e-card and I had instant access to their online content. They have the usual e-books and magazines, but I was very happy to see that they also have some selections from Acorn TV. You can "check out" content for 7 days before it is pulled, but can sign up again for an additional 7 days. In addition to Acorn, there is The Great Courses, IndieFlix and Qello (concerts). I have to say that thanks to seeing this event on Yelp, it has connected me to new sources of online entertainment in John and the library. I would say check it out if you are looking for something to do from the comfort of your home that is both entertaining and educational.

That being said; this 5 star rating at a DMV is sure to come back and bite me in the rear. The history behind this is that my wife and I had just moved back to IL after 4 years in exile in WI. Since we have 3 cars, a truck, a bike, and a trailer you can guess how much paperwork was going to be filled out by yours truly. They honestly couldn't have been more helpful to me as I turned in stacks upon stacks of state required forms. Including forms for personalized plated for nearly every vehicle AND making notations on my request for my truck to get the plates back that I had when we moved out of state, since Secretary of State website said they were unavailable; which was because they were still issued to me... Maybe it was just a slow day, I got very lucky, or they actually hate their job far less than other DMV workers, but at one point I had 3 or 4 different people working on plates, titles, and registrations as I bounced between windows giving them whatever info they needed. All in all they took a very tiresome, tedious process and cut my time and stress doing it drastically.
