Run from this place. Been trying to resolve an issue since October. Not sure dentist even knows…read morewhat's going on..all we know is the office never returns calls to discuss problems. They don't know how to use insurance properly.. When I asked to talk to dentist...don't even understand their respond.. they keep you on hold for long periods of time then say someone will call you back and then you never get a callback. They ignore instructions and don't do as patients request. After consultation based on this experience we opted to go somewhere else. They only care about money not patients health based on our experience and problems. Very unprofessional staff.

Removal of Wisdom Teeth: That teenage right of passage in…read morewhich one gets to enter an inebriated state with medical permission. Background Report: I had mine removed at age eighteen. I chose to be awake. I did not feel a thing. I could hear my teeth being ripped out. Later on, I transferred to a relaxed state due to medication. I fell onto my Nana's white couch, the perfect place to be when bleeding from the mouth. The surgeon's assistant accidentally disposed of my removed teeth. I have no trophies. Rock-C is amazing. They were fantastic with scheduling. They understood about scheduling my daughter for a summer appointment. Hannah, the surgeon's assistant, is super. She makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Burgon is a true gentleman and treated my daughter wonderfully during all appointments. I explained to Dr. Burgon that my daughter had autism and that that fact was a concern to me. There are few medical studies regarding people with autism under anesthesia. He reassured me. We all decided that partial anesthesia was the best option for my teen. Rock-C was great about changing my daughter's antibiotic regimen to a liquid form from a solid one at almost the last moment. They give thorough instructions for before and after the surgery. They even give you supplies to make life easier during recuperation. As my daughter's surgery was during the summer of 2020, the pandemic was occurring at that time. Rock-C did not take that fact lightly. Patients came in one at a time, and the patients' drivers stayed out. Dentists and oral surgeons do have to follow epidemiological reports during pandemics and plan accordingly. Who knew that less wisdom could be a great thing? Helpful Tips: -You will need transportation after any procedure that involves anesthesia. -Have tea bags for sockets, extra cotton balls and gauze, and soft ice packs. -Investigate soft food options.

What kind of excuse It that? an inexcusable one!!! So the only way to continue the months out pre scheduled appointment was to pay out of pocket at that time, which left not many choices. I recommend going to an oral surgeon that cares about their patients, their families and have respect enough for them to give a heads up and not putting them in a financial crunch without even having the courtesy to give them a heads up. Not everyone is on an oral surgeons salary and maybe The office staff should take some courses on compassion and empathy instead of wealth management.

I want to preface this review by saying Dr. Lane at the Vanderbilt location has removed two of my…read moreteeth in the past without argument, understanding that they could be fixed, but I could not afford it. I had pain in a lower molar and wanted it removed, with intention to later get an implant when funds allow. I did not want a crown, a new filling, whatever. I wanted the tooth pulled and to get it over with. I made an appointment with her expecting no issues, like before. I drove two hours to see her and my mother hired care for my 95 year old grandmother AND drove 5 hours to be able to care for me after the extraction. My mother also joined us for the consult because I was very anxious and did not want to forget to ask anything important. Dr. Lane's ENTIRE demeanor was different than our previous visits with her and she refused to pull the tooth. When I tried to defend myself and my bodily autonomy, and when my mother tried to explain the loss of a days pay plus all the miles we had driven in order to see her, she was incredibly rude and unprofessional and actually kicked us out of her office, refusing to speak to us any further. Neither my mother nor myself raised our voices or said anything impolite but she acted like we were bullying her or something when all we wanted was for her to do her job! She said she would refer us to another office but didn't even tell us the name. She used to be someone with compassion who would remove non-visible teeth when her patients could not afford or tolerate the treatment it would take to save the tooth. Now since her practice has been bought out by a bigger company, she is an uppity, corporate shill who is willing to send patients home in pain. She gets offended and rude if you stand up for your right to decide what happens to YOUR own body. I am incredibly disappointed but fortunately I found a surgeon closer to home who took the tooth out with no issues or lecturing whatsoever, at less than half the absurd price she wanted. I put a bunch of unnecessary miles on my car and paid $300 for X-rays and a "consult" only for her to send me home in pain, feeling insulted. I used to recommend her to people all the time, but never again.

We recently visited Rockcliff Oral Surgery for a consultation regarding our son's tooth extraction…read more The dentist we met with was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable, which we genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely frustrating due to poor communication from both the billing and scheduling departments. We were not able to get an estimate from the surgical center until just a few days before the procedure, only to learn that they did not accept our insurance and that the cost would be over $6,000 for a single tooth extraction. Even the staff at the surgical center expressed their own frustration, explaining that they hadn't received the necessary information from Rockcliff until only a few days prior and that this had happened multiple times with other patients in the past. Since then, we've been trying to get clarification and follow-up from Rockcliff Oral Surgery, but no one seems to return calls. Each time we reach out, we're told that the dentist is out of town and someone will get back to us, but we never hear anything. Overall, this has been one of the most unprofessional experiences we've had in a medical setting. While the dentist himself was great, the lack of communication and organization from the office made the entire situation incredibly stressful. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Rockcliff Oral Surgery based on our experience.
