Good for a pint of Guinness to wind down the evening while sitting out front to watch the people. There are bouncers at the door checking ID's but they could clearly tell that I am definitely of age. Inside, loud with music at 8pm on a Saturday night. So it was outside with the pint glass and thankfully, no one smoking out there. Great to sit for an hour and watch the idiots peel out from Eyre Square in their fancy cars. And watch the taxis make the u-turn to the stand directly in front. And when someone did decide to light up, finish off the pint and head onwards. Lots of tourists in town this evening so it was busy all around. Really chill spot. Bartenders were friendly. Wandered upstairs on a Saturday when I heard some Drum n Bass. Whatever that club is....suuuuper fun!! Everyone was dancing their arses off. And people were super friendly. read more

Worst experience in Ireland! We went in because it was close to our hotel. The three of us sat at a table. Nobody would make eye contact so we went to the bar, where we sat long enough to watch one bar tender read the recipe list and the other stand at the other end of the bar. Our invisibility cloaks must have been working because we used our "count down from ten and then leave" tactic, all the while remaining unseen. Steer clear. Myself and 5 other people were in ye're pub on Saturday night and we were having a great night until one of your bar staff started arguing with over a dash of orange squash with my wife's vodka but I had gotten another round awhile before that and there was no problem but this member of staff was quite rood saying that ye don't serve dashes of orange and when I tried to explain to that I had just got a round with a dash of orange he then prosided to argue with me at the bar saying that he was not giving me the drink with out the money and pulled back the drink. I said that I had the money in my hand so I handed him the money and when he was giving me back my change he put up his middle finger at me and told me to fuck off. I then asked for the manager but he did not help me in anyway. I ask the manager for the barman name so I could make a complaint about but he would not give it to me. I went down to the people I was with and we finished our drinks but on our way out the same bar man came against me and sized up the me and laughed in my face so as you can see I am not happy with the way I was treated in ye're bup on Saturday night  Regards Mike Butler read more

Poor service, waitress so rude. Waited for food for an hour, when I asked the waitress if it's always an hour wait for food she got annoyed and said no, she put the food at the table and never came back to us to check if everything was good. Never returning again. read more

Almost didn't stop here based on other Yelp reviews but am very glad I did. The service was great and I ate the best Fish and Chips that I've ever had. My friend had the Bangers and Mash and said it was also great. We sat ourselves and almost immediately someone stopped at our table to leave menus and take our drink order. Responsiveness was excellent throughout our meal. Highly recommend if you are visiting Galway and looking for great food, drinks and service. read more
