Thank you for your review M.D. This restaurant is in Tonkawa,OK not Ponca City, OK.
Yes as a Mechanical Contractor Licensed through the State of Oklahoma. I'm held to the IMC. International Mechanical Code. This code I have to follow and it is ENFORCED by the code Officials, State and local Mechanical inspectors also to include the State and local Fire Marshal. Once a grease hood job is complete, I have to call these officials to inspect the job. You cannot open a restaurant without this inspection. It is required to call these officials.
Upon thoroughly looking at the vent hood and kitchen, finding numerous code violations, I did tell the owner that i was going to call the local officials. After calling the local mechanical inspector, he informed me to call the local Fire Chief. The Fire Chief informed me that they did have a Fire Marshal. After talking with all these local officials I was informed I would need to call the STATE officials which i did. This process did take 3 to 4 weeks. Just trying to get everyone on the same page before I gave you an estimate for the numerous repairs needed.
The code is put into place to protect the customers in your restaurant and to protect you.
I was never informed you had already had some one working on the repairs. The State Inspector shared that he did have to guide the person you hired on how to do some of the repairs.
I strive to do a job thoroughly and completely.
Do it right and right the first time.
