I…read morejust replaced my clutch with the Midas shop right next-door a few days before but changing gears continued to be a problem for my 1997 Mustang. I was told by the owner of this shop I needed a new transmission. I was not in a good mood because I just put down my dog the previous Saturday due to cancer. I was there bright and early an hour before they open on Monday morning and I left my car there. I walked over, which was a mile from my house to see if they started working on it each afternoon Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. I called every afternoon to find out what the status was and I had to listen to excuses from we lost a worker; we can't find the parts; the parts are taking too long to get here. I was obviously angry and went there Friday morning and they started working on it. The owner took two hours to replace the transmission. Seems to me they purposely made me wait a whole week for nothing.

The staff was welcoming and made you feel like a friend! Daryl (the owner) is someone I felt in my heart was an honest wholesome man. And the technician (i believe his name was Dan) was very knowledgeable and didn't try to upsell me on a single thing. When I picked up my vehicle I was slightly nervous because we all know there's always some sort of bad news you hear after work is done. "This needs replaced asap, thats broken and will break down if not replaced soon" and quotes are prepared before you even show up. NONE of that occurred. I wasnt targeted to be upsold on a single thing. I didn't get the typical lecture of needing to spend hundreds of dollars in the near future. Dan told me everything checked out well, ran my payment and they both wished me a great evening! I came home and told my boyfriend if he ever needs work done he doesn't want to do, to take it there. Was told that they don't make 7:00 am appointments. Guy at the service desk knew nothing about the appointment, fiddled with his computer for awhile, didn't seem too concerned that they apparently screwed up, didn't offer a solution. I went on line and searched and found Big N Bad Performance. I had no Idea who this guy was, so I did my and saw that the reviews were good to great with one exception, there will always be someone out there not happy. Anyway I digress. I talked with Mike and we agreed that the truck needed to be retuned after I had done some up grades that the other shop did not pick up. After his research and the retune, we found out that all along it was the o2 sensors and a week battery. It took some time but money well spent. My truck hasn't run better in a long time. So word to the wise if your putting new exhaust manifolds and turbos on your truck take it to Mike for the job or the retune after you install them. He will take care of you with a smile. He quoted 3 week turnaround and we gave him a max on our budget which he quoted several $$$$ less, but that gave us room for things to pop up. 15months later, poor communication after 9months in, we took our car back knowing that he didn't finish it and we are getting everything buttoned up somewhere else. He said that he would send us the dyno tune info and 2 months later still waiting and he will not respond to VM or email. There was clear overspray all over the car and windows, there is chipped pain on the corner of the hood and front finder, my brand new powder coated Foose rims are scratched my doors are super hard to open now, my digital dash does work, my brake lights don't work, the new gas tank leaks gas, and my horn doesn't work. I can not wait to see what my new mechanic has to say about it. Do not be fooled by the charm. This not the shop for you.

I brought my car in on 4/20 for a transmission repair after being told the job would take about one week. At the time, there were no warning lights on the dashboard and no known issues other than the transmission. I also paid more than half of the quoted cost upfront. After a week passed, I had to reach out myself for an update. It took about a week and a half to get a response, and I was told the repair would be delayed due to an illness. I completely understood and was willing to be patient because things happen. On 5/1, I contacted them again to see if my car was ready for pickup and received no response until 5/8. By this point, I had already been given four different completion dates, all of which came and went. I simply asked for an accurate timeline because I was becoming frustrated with the lack of communication. Instead of receiving an update, I got an email from the owner's wife that I found extremely rude and unprofessional. I was told they could no longer do the repair and was accused of rushing them, which was completely untrue considering how long I had already waited beyond the original timeline. As a result, I had to pay to have my vehicle towed to their shop and then pay again to have it towed elsewhere so another shop could complete the repair. Throughout this experience, I was hung up on, repeatedly misled about completion dates, and left without clear communication. To make matters worse, when I finally got my car back on 5/15, multiple warning lights were illuminated on the dashboard that had not been there before. When I called to ask about it, I was told they hadn't touched anything that could have caused it. However, I had photos taken before the vehicle was towed to their shop showing that there were no dashboard warning lights at that time.
