And should raise even MORE of an eyebrow when you do your research and see how many Black educators and admin have either left the school or "moved" to a different position/building. Overall, do your research and make sure that you know where you're putting your child for their four years of high school education.

The stands were the basic metal bleacher (bring your own seat cushion!), there were two nice additions. The first was that there were backs on the bleachers! You don't have to sit slumped over. You can actually lean back against a backrest. The second (and nicest) surprise was that the stands were covered! No worries of sun or rain while watching the game. EXCELLENT!! The field was well maintained. Grounds crew was hustling throughout the game to keep it in good condition. Restrooms were clean and easily accessed. Snack bar was available on a Monday evening game and prices were very fair. Cheeseburger, and order of tasty fries and a bottle of water for under $5. Every person I met was friendly and a credit to MHS. Two thumbs up!! p.s. We won! :)

What a wonderful experience for educational beginnings. The children are happy, socially and academically educated, proud of their school, taught about God, Jesus and prayer, and creatively amazing. I have never met a teacher or any staff member who was not top notch. They truely love the students and their jobs. Tuition is quite fair. Extracurricular activities are available. This school is 5 Star in my opinion, and I highly recommend it.

So when you pay your money and then go in to find out there are no concessions you can't leave to go get something! Nothing but very old bleachers to sit on. They have seen better days. After reviewing the website, reading a few reviews, and even looking at other tutoring options, I decided to reach out. I submitted the contact from on the website and received an email a few hours later which was great (talk about a prompt response). I scheduled a consult for the next day and received a call from Dr. Jackson who was the sweetest and gave me tons of info about the center along what my son would learn. Needless to say we started a few days after the initial consult and he did a 1 hour assessment with Dr. Jackson during his first session to establish areas of strengths and things that needed to be worked on. Afterwards she provided me with helpful information on where he stood and we discussed goals for him. Fast forward seven months and we couldn't be more happy with his progression in reading, writing, phonics, and reading comprehension. The staff at the center are simply wonderful. Every teacher is so kind and truly meets my kiddo where he is and makes learning fun. They offer tutoring in several areas, provide monthly progress reports, and I love how they celebrate students. If you're looking for a little extra help for your kiddo in a small learning environment where they can learn, grow more confident in their learning and have fun all at the same time, the Literacy Doctor is the place to go!

It seemed to be where she was becoming intimidated by reading and in our family, we love to read! It was heartbreaking and with the emotional component, harder for me (her mother) to TEACH her myself. Literacy Doctor is personable and Dr. Virginie genuinely cares about my daughters progress and invests her time with us! Note my daughter is actually trying to read anything on her own. She is engaged and wants to improve on her own! Some nights I have to make her put her iPad down! We always loved story time but not she wants to read them!!
