We could see half our order sitting on the pass for at least five minutes, if not more. When they had the full order, half was cold. Too many styles of drinks, too much premade and cook-up foods. This means a lot of stock on hand. Every order becomes highly customizable and with their capacity for many customers (each restaurant goes for a large footprint therefore many tables) it must be a nightmare to get things out in a timely and orderly fashion. This branch opened on 6 Sept 2015 and what I've had so far is lovely and accommodating staff, fresh food and good wait times. I haven't seen it packed yet. Hopefully they find this location ideal and won't suffer the fate of a handful of other franchisees I've stopped in at, namely a reduction in the presentation of the meals and the pre made stuff looking quite dry and brown in their fridge. The coffee today is quite mild. I have a friend who refuses this coffee, she says it doesn't give her the kick she seeks. :) The coffee rewards are overly decent... It relies on your spend amount and it seems every time my partner and I go here they say we have three or four banked up. They will let you apply it on a more expensive coffee if you pay the difference.

DUN DUN! nooooooo they don't have to be. Grill'd is a unique spin on a food that has always gotten a bad rap, their burgers are fresh, wholesome and bursting with ingredients. (I'm not kidding, they use skewers to keep the burgers together.) I love the range as well, I usually order the Zen Hen on a gluten free bun and a side of chips to share. Most people also agree that Grill'd has amazing decor (an American industrial meets Retro kinda vibe.) The cafe is probably your standard greasy spoon but show up on any given Friday night and the place will be overflowing with patrons - because every week there's an informal meet-up of the city's motor enthusiasts that results in hundreds of cars of all types taking up the car park in front and behind the shopping centre. Like-minded boffins gather to admire, look under bonnets and chew the fat on their favourite topic - cars. But this review is about food, so I'll tell you that Munch Inn always has plenty of staff to cope on big nights, and an efficient ordering system in place. Chips are popular of course but I recommend the burgers - my Aussie was beautiful, and great value for money at less than $10. So big I had trouble wrapping my laughing gear around it, I nonetheless gobbled it up and my hubby's standard hamburger didn't last long either. There are several other cafes and takeaways in the shopping centre that cater for the car aficionados on a Friday evening, but Munch Inn is where it's all at. Highly recommended for a good burger and a way of taking part in a little-known Brisbane subculture.
