McDonald's would have to do something glaringly egregious to get me to ever voice a complaint. This is base line "happiness is about managing expectations." It's McDonald's - you already know what to expect! I can't even tell you how many times I've patronized this McDonald's in Williamstown over the past 40 years. Probably thousands of times (don't judge!). I would say the number of times my order was correct, the staff were pleasant, and service was quick is most likely in the high 90th percentile. Lately, and by that I mean during the past 5 years, I've noticed excellent customer service above and beyond expectations. In my morning runs, there are several adults on site who provide friendly and fast service. But even during times when I only interact with employees of a younger age - they are all so polite and professional. It's refreshing to get the sense that they actually care about their jobs. And the food... well, I keep eating it. Clearly no problems here. Realistically, have I had an issue here and there over the years? Of course. No one is perfect. But what do I consider "a problem" at a fast-food restaurant? The drive thru took too long? Okay maybe there was a call out or they are training someone new. My order was wrong? Okay, give them an opportunity to fix it. There was an egg shell in my McMuffin? Eh, it happens. They forgot to put extra pickles on my McDouble? Oh dang! My point is, I have seen people completely lose their "S" at a fast food chain. For what? That type of behavior/reaction is rarely warranted. I don't usually go inside the restaurant. The times I have, I can say it looks clean and I don't see anything that would raise a concern. In conclusion: thank you McDonald's for winning "the numbers game" - so many many many visits and so very few issues/problems. My order is correct, the people are friendly, and the service is fast. I literally only go here when I'm in a pinch for dinner because it is by far the WORST McDonald's in the area. I ordered a medium meal, burger with bacon and cheese, fries. just water to drink. Then a happy meal with milk. Girl over the speaker says, a Coke? Nuggets? Apple juice? I literally had to repeat myself 4 times before she got it. Then when I hear "pull up to the 3rd window for the rest" (after she gave me the happy meal) I know I'm in for a wait. I legit sat there for 22 minutes. 4:00-4:22. I had to park my car and go in and the girls at the counter were so frazzled and confused. This happens ALL THE TIME. I'm always waiting for over 15 minutes for food OR there's something wrong with my order. read more

The service in this McDonalds is by far the worst I've ever experienced. This morning I went to this McDonalds to avoid the long car wait at Dunkin Donuts. needless to say, when I got into their line, there was some type of hold up. I backed up and went inside. When I got inside, there wasn't even one person at the front. A man went behind the counter to clock in and he was greeted by a woman in the back, no one addressed me at all. Eventually I called out Good Morning and asked if there was anyone working up front. A man from the lobby said not right now but I will help you, This man was kind, but he had issues with the register and that manager came out to assist and changed my order to the point I paid more than I was supposed to. I seriously don't know why the ratings for this location are so low so I feel I must contribute. We just moved right around the corner and the food at this location is consistently on point - fluffy burger bun, fresh fries every time, Coke with perfect syrup to carbonation ratios (something is wrong with me... I know). Sometimes the service is a little slow and there's almost always a decent line but it is always worth it and they have yet to mess up our order. When I first went to this branch a year ago, service was really bad. However, I've been frequenting this particular location lately, and service (specifically for curbside pick-up) has dramatically improved. Even if they are busy, we usually get our orders in less than 10 minutes. Staff is always friendly. They've been giving our orders correctly (even down to the condiments we request). I just love love love McDonald's!! I crave their cheeseburgers & fries! Hubby got me the Big Kids Meal that comes with a toy (it was the red car from the Disney Movie "Cars" ). My dog was very happy for that. When I ask my kids what they want, I sing the song. I can't help it. The thing about MCDonald's is not that you are expecting 5 star excellence, but you are expecting consistency. This location cannot even deliver consistency among items in the same order. "Why do these two shakes look so terribly different?" They answer is because their is no level of quality standard. The employees prefer to argue with the customer rather than correct the issue. This place is a disheveled cluster f**k. Stopped yesterday for a quick pick up of a cheeseburger, nuggets, and fries. Nothing special. Not a big order. My wife went in and ordered. We waited in the car and watched the drive through backed up to the road. People were pulling out of line and leaving here and there. 15 minutes later my wife comes out with a melting milkshake for my nephew and says everyone is complaining. No food coming out. Goes back in. I saw like 25 cars go through drive through at this point and am getting frustrated. 20 minutes later she comes out fuming. She asked for food and they said they are making it still...she Got a refund and left. We go to burger king and another guy and his daughter we saw at McDonalds were in front of us. I went through the drive thru. I get home and the pint of milk is open and used. This is during the COVID-19 outbreak! Why extra precautions weren't taken is beyond me. I threw out my food I was so disgusted. Here's the best part, I call the store and the girl says "I don't know what to tell you, the guy I'm the drive through is new." Not a good place to go to if you want to be ripped off. we have attended this place a few times in december and january this year more than usual but over the period of 1.5 years isnt still a good place to go to. Now medowie macdonalds is open i would drive that little bit extra to go there and get a good meal and get what you ordered with a smile. This is probably the worst run McDonalds I've ever been to. I think they are very short handed. The drive thru takes 20 minutes to get through. If you go inside and stand at the counter they tell you to go use the kiosk. You pick a number and go sit down like it tells you to do and they will bring it out to you. Instead of bringing your food out to you, they just yell your number and you must go get it. That is if you can hear them shouting your number over the very loud music. The place is dirty. Absolutely terrible service, ordered 2 shamrock shakes and waited for maybe 15 min while the cashier completely forgot about my order and made maybe 10 shakes for other orders and our order number was 353 and by the time we got our shake they were on 363.
