This McDonald's is nothing short of an oasis. It is unrelentingly there for me, the infamous M shining bright and yellow as I exist the U1, tired and bone-weary from my day of exploring the quarters of Vienna. As an American, our home Mcdonalds' leave much to be desired. The floors are dirty, the play center noisy and smelly, the workers exploited, and the food subpar. But the McDonald's at this station fills my every need. The nuggets are fried to perfection, the fries perfectly salted. I know exactly where my order number falls in the queue as I patiently await my food. The upstairs McCafe provides a luxurious escape from the boisterousness of the train dispatchers down below. My order is always correct and the quality of the ingredients far exceeds that of the McDonald's in my homeland. My only complaint: sauce costs 50 cents a piece...thus this review is marked down one star for each sauce package I have been required to purchase. read more
