Quick trip through the drive thru on a road trip in that area. Super convenient and easy in/out. Mc Donald's owns the breakfast scene in the fast food arena. Freshly brewed coffee and delicious food. Got the sausage mc muffin (no muffin) and one with a muffin, large unsweetened tea, and two coffees. Their coffee slaps! So underrated. Sandwiches were delicious. Entire staff super friendly and nice. This makes it a great experience as well. This is a terrific location. Side note - limited pics as we were driving and eating. read more

I went there the other night and I placed a order on the app and when I got there to pick it up the manager said I had to show an email saying I ordered it and I showed them on the app saying I placed it and my bank statement saying it came out and I payed for it and they still refused to make my order and serve me I dont recommend this location anymore especially if a manager is gonna do that. read more

Tried using McDonalds app in store to order a "deal" for a soda with a large order of fries at no cost. The kiosk took the code but wouldn't finish the order for check out. Went to the counter and asked to have them place the order for me. Was told I'd have to wait nine minutes for the app to reset to get the free fries. Wasn't going to wait and asked for the cashier to fix it. He got a manager who told him to give us the fries which I appreciated but it was a very frustrating experience. Very poor wi-fi in the building as well to try to use the app instead of the kiosk to redo the order. Not going to rush back to this location real soon. Just glad to see a manager that could make a "make sense" decision instead of letting the computer control the transaction. Most all McDonald's go through changes in people and service so it's eassybto finds one place hit and miss. My review is based on my experience only having no idea if I will evEr come here again. I went in as I needed to wash my hands and stretch and was immediately greated and encouraged to use the type on kiosks (Which I won't use - as bad as a remote control in terms of germs) so went to the counter and ordered a pile oF biscuits for my customers. Order was quick, they ensured I had Napkins jelly whatever needed and were all pleasant ant and had their A game on. I was in a hurry and late due to weather so much appreciated!!! Happy customers give good reviews! Highly recommend giving them a try. Maybe it helped I went in- but good nevertheless ! read more

Lady at the counter was rude!!! Mexican girl, no name tag. I was a bit upset bcuz she left me standing waiting to order for ten minutes while she stood in front of any empty bag doing nothing. Finally she comes over and ask if I had to order yet and I said no because you walked right past me 10 minutes ago and didn't even acknowledge me. She said oh I'm sorry I couldn't tell. I said if you can't tell someone standing directly in front of the register needs to take an order then perhaps you need a new job. She said well you get me a new job and I'll take it. She kept being rude to me the entire time I was trying to order and then she told me to move so she can get the people behind me right away they didn't have to wait and she wasn't rude to them. When she finally gave me my food I asked for a manager and she flips her head and she goes there's one there's one there's one back there there's one over there too!!! The manager comes and as she is doing so she's telling this Mexican girl that she's got the expedite counter stay away from there and take people's orders. I said that's exactly what she done to me too left me just standing there waiting to order and then was rude to me because I had issue with it. The manager didn't care either she wouldn't even hear me out she just said I'm sorry we're short-staffed so I put a complaint in through corporate. This place is usually great but tonight something was wrong. If y'all are too understaffed, or something is going wrong in the building, or someone walks out, please just let the customers know. If you can't pop into the drive thru speaker to say so, then maybe put a little sign up there, or in the pickup window. I don't know how many people were working tonight but two employees were hanging out in the gas station parking lot next door while four cars waited at the drive thru. Our egg mcmuffins didn't have egg, and we didn't get our drink or mcflurry (only half full) without requesting it. Make sure to check what you receive. This being the closest McDonald's to visit when we're looking for a cheap/quick meal, I visit it quite a lot, by myself or with company; Usually through the drivethru but we occasionally dine in. Now, the interior is clean for the most part, but I've had some gross experiences with spilled drinks on counters that have set so long they get sticky. Most of the time, if you're in a rush, this place IS NOT the place to come for a quick meal, and that includes the drivethru. The longest we've sat in the drivethru was when I was headed out of town fairly late with my niece for a usual weekend trip, so we were in a bit of a rush. Well, we sat in the line for over 45 minutes without moving at all. When we finally ordered and got up to the window, I was given a different price from when I had ordered at the speakers, and nearly had to leave because the price was a lot more than what it should have been, and the worker didn't know what they were doing at the time. I can recall MANY times that I've sat in the drivethru, being the ONLY one in line and asking for just a large drink, and had to sit for over 15 minutes just to get it. I can also name a few times when I've went inside to order, to avoid getting stuck in line, and the workers have been fairly rude/curt when working with me. One of those times, I had ordered a drink, and the establishment wasn't horribly busy, and there was no sweet tea out on the floor, which I mentioned BEFORE I was given a drink cup. However, the lady came to me and told me to fill my own drink up, because she was busy. When I told her once again that there was no sweet tea out on the floor, she snatched the cup from my hand and puffed, and went to fill it up with barely any ice, and gave it to me and told me I would have to get the lid and straw myself (which I would have done so to begin with, but regardless, her manner throughout the whole visit wasn't very pleasant.). Usually more than half the time I get food from here, even if it is actually quick, the food that I receive is usually old or cold, when it's suppose to be hot. I've ordered McGriddles from here before that were so old that the bread had hardened around the outside, and the egg had shrunk and darkened. This McDonald's has been just as bad since I moved to Waynesville 6 years ago and hasn't ever really improved. There are a few, but rare, good days where there are no problems. But out of the hundreds of times I've visited here, only about 5% of my visits are good. read more

An AWFUL McDonald's. It is corporate owned and operated and the company should fire whomever is managing this store. The location is constantly understaffed, the bathrooms and dining room are always FILTHY, there are flies and an awful smell around the drink area, the floors are always sticky (This is a fairly new building, by the way), and it always takes forever to get your food. Please don't waste your time by going to this particular McDonald's. The only thing worse than their partially thrown together food, is the horrible and I do mean HORRIBLE service. And on top of that, the parking lot is a nightmare. If you're in a rush there are plenty of other Fast Food restaurants on Russ Avenue that have food that isn't just thrown together on a whim, and a much MUCH friendlier staff. This has to be the worst McDonald's in their history!! Sanitation score is a consistent 90%, yuck! Went in today because I was craving a frappe. I ordered, paid and stepped to the side. The older lady that rang me up stepped to the machine to make my frappe. There was a frappe left on the machine and she picked it up and started asking every employee in the place who it belonged to, to which everyone denied. Oh, did I mention there was about 50 flies flying and landing everywhere behind the counter? So she proceeded to take that frappe, squirt on some whipped topping and syrup and slap a lid on it and hand it to me with a smile. Uh.....I told her there was no way I was taking that! I told her there was no telling how long it had been sitting there and there were a zillion flies in there. She threw it away and fixed me another. Had I been in the drive-through, I would have been served that nasty thing! And the morning manager.....ugh, so rude and loud, and nasty! "Old fry oil" is their catch phrase. "Sticky floors in conjunction with disgusting tables" is their motto. And, as a previous reviewer stated, so busy that unbalanced customers start to react in a negative way. Some ordered item is always overcooked or undercooked, and another ordered item will be guaranteed cold. While you are dealing with these aforementioned problems at the front counter, a rare employee afflicted with cleanliness will dispose of your soda, leaving you to once again go back up the the counter. Some employees are excellent with customers, but this does not mitigate my rating. Go to the Canton, NC location- the one by the Goodwill. read more

I use to work here. A 90% sanitation is not bad it is an A. The food isn't always thrown together it depends on who works in grill. If the wait is slow it is because the people in grill have several orders or they are not doing their job. Me and my bf went to McDonald's and r food was good. Anything below a 70 gets their permit revoked and if they had flies around they wouldn't still be open and health services would be stepping in. If their frappe or mcflurry machine is down its because something inside of it broke or isn't working properly and that is not McDonald's fault they do call a repair person but sometimes not all of the time they dont show up immediately. It depends on if they have the money to fix it sometimes they don't and sometimes they do. It's because they have people offerings 20 I've cream comes in less than an 1 hour and then more ice cream comes after that and it heats the machine up and every order there is people who want one or more frappes. Yea McDonald's isn't the best sometimes it depends on who working that day. Yes people slack. The McDonald's staff r only rude if u r making a scene. But even then they try to hold it in and be polite. I had one person who threw coffee on me cuz I made her coffee like I was shown but she complained cuz I couldn't take back through the window heath violation and because she wanted it half full. I said mam I can't take it back through the window but I can make u another one and she threw it on me and yelled I will just come back around and pay for another one. she also said to me that I was nothing but a person on drugs and shouldn't be working there.
