This is quite a dodgy McDonald's though I guess the location makes it popular. I only come here when my friends want coffee and chat the night away since it is a central location for us. Plus the staff is used to people staying for hours. There is always a group of regulars at night shooting the breeze. It is a regular McDonald's, nothing fancy. I think most customers either do the drive thru or pick up their orders. With the implementation of the bag and cup fee, it is best to redeem your points for free coffee at the counter. The self served kiosk will automatically add the cup fee for free drink. The city has strike off the fee for free drinks. Unfortunately even though the free drink is for any size coffee, the staff will automatically gives you medium size. I requested for large but I guessed he didn't change the order. My friend bought a meal and they packed it in the paper bag and charged him bag fee even though he was dining in. I seriously do not agree with the fees at all since we are still getting bags we do not need and being charged. Cups are still going into landfill since they are not serving regular cups even when dining in. The female washroom is always locked so you will need to ask the staff to unlock it. I think it is for safety issues as the men washroom is not locked. read more

I'd avoid this location during busy lunch hours if you can. I came around noon and the parking lot was PACKED. The parking lot was nearly full. When i came inside, i couldn't find a table to sit at because all the tables were already occupied. Because of Covid restrictions and social distancing, a lot of tables were already off limits so the few remaining tables were quickly taken. Their staff needs to be trained better to handle busy lunch times. I made 4 separate orders of big macs (coupons are limited to one per order at the kiosks) The first 2 orders came out without any problems and arrived in a timely manner. The last 2 orders never came after about a 10-15 minute wait. My last 2 order numbers disappeared from the order# status computer screen. I had to go to the pick up counter to get the employee to take a look at my receipts. At first she said that they were ready and my numbers were already called (they didn't.) At the end, the employee sorted out my last 2 orders and apologized for the wait. A better trained employee would have got the orders quicker during busy times. Notably, another customer had the same problem of their order never arriving and complained loudly that they waited over 10 minutes for their order. How frustrating! Some good things I liked about this location is that a lot of employees wore a face shield on top of their face masks. They also wiped off the counters, tables, and the floors clean a lot so it appears they take covid precautions seriously. Also, many self-serve computer kiosk were available so there were zero wait times for those. (There were 4 available!) I highly recommend using the self serve computer kiosks at this location so you can get your order in right away. Strangely, they only had one cashier at lunch time making wait times pretty long. At least the big macs I ordered tasted as good as I expected, so I can say there were no problems with the food quality. Overall, just like the other yelp reviewers say, service needs improvement. I really like how McDonald's is going upscale. It no longer feels like the ghetto place you go to when you have absolutely nowhere else to go, but more of a destination. Okay, that was a stretch. Parking is ample on the outside, though there's a human walkway that's raised a little too high. If your car is lowered, you will probably ground out. All of the plastic seats are gone, and replaced with wooden / upholstered ones. The location is surprisingly clean. There is now free Wi-Fi. Yay! The tables themselves range in size from 2 to 12 people. Yes, 12 people. You can bring the whole gang here without a problem. I come here a bit more than I would like to admit. I understand that we're going through a pandemic and the work environment at McDonald's must be stressful. However, I still expect a reasonable service level if an establishment is open for business. There have been many times where I have come to this McDonald's and the wait time in the drive-thru is upwards of 10-15 minutes. The staff are also not attentive to detail. I usually buy some drinks in the evening using the summer drink days promo and I requested 2x regular iced coffee and a mango pineapple smoothie. The women working at the time asked what size I want for the smoothie to which I responded "the promotional one" which is for a small. I was charged for a medium smoothie that I did not want and the iced coffees were lukewarm without any ice and didn't have enough cream (disgusting!). The man who handed me the drinks was also rude and had terrible mannerisms. Not impressed. read more

This location was very busy. I was able to use a coupon for a meal during the lunch rush. Fries and burger were fresh. Unfortunately, Coke for some reason was out of order so I settled with orange soda instead as Coke Zero was out of syrup. Tables needed a good cleaning but it was very busy with the flow of customers. I saw one round of a staffer sweeping the floor. read more

Came here two times, Once was a drive through, we waited at the stalls and nobody came for 30 mins, when we got our order, our fries were cold and the burger wasn't fresh 2nd time we came here was a group of friends: they forgot our order again, this time we went to the front. Pretty busy location with friendly staff but somehow they have numerous times managed to provide me with an incorrect order no matter how simple. The other night, we went to the drive thru and ordered a medium coke and a medium hot chocolate. We were served in a friendly manner and the order "medium coke medium hot chocolate" was repeated back to us after ordering, upon paying and receiving the order. It was only until after we got home that we found out that instead of a medium hot chocolate, we were given a medium double double coffee. Because it was night time and caffeine usually keeps me awake, the coffee just went to waste. I don't like this McDonald's. After a horrible incident that happened last year with a family member of mine, I have not gone back. I was so angry that I called the head office in regards to the issue and yes the head office did contact this McDonald's to hopefully rectify the problem. I did get a chance to talk to the manager there and all I got was a not very sincere apology. What had happened was we went in ordered food and because a family member wanted hot water so he could take his medicine. This family member is very old and disabled. He went up to the counter and asked for hot water and the McDonald staffed spilled the hot water onto the table and it splated some onto my family member. Without feeling ashame, he did not apologize and ignored my family member. I saw what had happened and asked for an apology. I went and asked for the manager and a young gentle man came and claims to be the manager and said they do not serve mentally retarded handicapped people. I was really angry and I remember it was a Sunday. I called Mcdonald head office right away and because it was near end of day there was no one to pick up the phone. First off this family member is not mentally retarded. He is disabled because he had a stroke. I FEEL DISGRACE OF THE EMPLOYEE AT THIS MCDONALD. It's one of the nicer McDonald. It went through many remodels throughout many years. At one point they even closed down, but reopened again. It's my neighbourhood joint for ice cream and hamburgers. Today, a runner named Troy made McFlurries. I'm not sure if McDonald follows Foodsafe Practices or even the common sense of 'If I stuck my dirty finger in something, my customer would care'. Troy stuck his thumb in the McFlurry of the guy in front of me. I also had the same McFlurry - so it confused him and I think I got the contaminated one. I tried to patch things up from the passenger seat which made this lady even more unhappy because she could not hear me... We wanted a cheeseburger and fries to go with the happy meal... She could not get what we wanted... After about 90 seconds she had it with us. "Drive through, you wasted enough time. Your Happy Meal is $4.97" said the unhappy McDonald's drive through lady... Got home to find no egg. Why in the entirety of existing as an adult human being would I ever order that? Not only that, I ordered from the kiosk, so I know everything on my order should be there. On top of this, I was the only order on the board and it still took at least 15 minutes. Why? No egg was cooked, no one else was there. How exactly did my order take 15 minutes? This is not the first time this McDonald's has been an utter disappointment and I'm sure it won't be the last. Perhaps if people were hired that spent more time doing their jobs instead of fraternizing with their friends people would actually get some modicum of service. I realize hiring highschool children is appealing because they don't ask for much, but the quality in the service shows. Right when I walked in this McDonald's, first thing I said was " wow, this is a fancy McDonald's" lol. Yes I did say fancy. It was my first time going to any McDonald's in Canada. Even the "M" out side has a leaf on it! Which I thought was pretty cool. The service was good and the items I order was also good and most important thing, it was clean! Terrible management as you can see from the reviews. Just don't bother. I understand we are amidst a pandemic and things are crazy. I appreciate the people who put their lives at risk everyday. However, It is still very frustrating. When you spend money, you hope you receive your order in exchange for the money you spend. They forgot a large portion of my order and not just one item. We had 3 large fries and 3 burgers missing in one order and large fries, burger and no salad dressing (for salad) missing in another order. Our 3rd attempt and we did not receive an entire double cheeseburger meal. I can't wrap my mind around how such large portions are missing each time. It's disappointing. Came through the drive thru at 12:30 am.. Had ordered two meals. I wanted half sprite and fruitopia for one of my drinks and they said they couldn't do it and to come in and do it myself.. What kind of service is that.. Since when can you not do it make a customer satisfied. Absolutely the worst McDonald's experience. Came here to watch the end of the hockey game with some friends. The TVs were on a different channel so we asked them SEVERAL times to switch. Their answer was "we don't know how to switch the channels". Hard to believe that no one in the entire crew knew how to switch the channels!? And no effort was made to figure it out either. So frustrating. We also thought of streaming the game on our phones via their wifi, but their wifi also wasn't working!!! We asked them about this too, and their response was "our wifi box sucks". The food also wasn't great, the filet fish was cold (cheese wasn't event melted), and the buns were hard. Ice cream machine was also broken. Unbelievable.
