I was pleasantly surprised by how incredible the customer service was for a fast food chain much less a truckstop one. We got table side service with a smile. Even got generously sized ice cream cones! The fries were hot and the McNuggets extra fresh! I saw another review stating this location doesn't honor meal deals but the I used a meal deal in the app and attached my receipt. Honestly I have been traveling across country SCCO and this is the first fast food chain to give us a fresh and hot order. 10/10 read more

1 Star - Worst Service Ever! I don't know why I even bother coming to this McDonald's anymore. Every single time, it's the same nightmare--slow service, wrong orders, and employees who clearly don't care. First, I waited 20 minutes in the drive-thru, only to get up to the window and be told to pull forward because my food "wasn't ready." It's fast food, not a five-star restaurant! Then, when I finally got my order, they forgot half of it--no fries, no sauce, and the burger was thrown together like someone made it blindfolded. The staff was rude and acted like I was bothering them by asking for the food I PAID for. The dining area was disgusting--trash overflowing, sticky tables, and the bathroom smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in days. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else. The Big Mac always hits DIFFERENT dawg ‍. A little expensive and fries were just a bit off, but overall great takeout experience . As a black truck driver, driving a semi truck 13'6" I walked up to the drive-thru to get breakfast at 5:30 in the morning. I was treated like I was robbing a bank told to get out of here the area. All I wanted was breakfast. I have never been treated so badly. Also, when I told her I am a truck driver manager Mexican lady was like show it to me. Where is it? I'm like I parked over there on the other side of the street. Topeka is not the ghetto or any place dangerous I don't know why they act so scared. Beautiful new building is a complete joke! THREE windows at the drive thru- one window to pay and two to pick up. They have you pay at the first window and push you to the second window. Apparently the person at the second window's main job is to direct you past their window, AND past the last window! They ALWAYS have us drive around to the front of the building and wait for someone to bring out your food. Today is my last time visiting this McDonald's. Literally all I ordered was two cheeseburgers. That's it. No fries. No drinks. No special instructions - just 2 cheeseburgers. And they still had me pull around the building! Seriously, they don't have two hamburger patties ready to go? So then, the kid bringing out my order has my order in his hands plus another order and I see him walking from car to car asking what they'd ordered until he finally gets to my car to get me my two cheeseburgers. I love this one always been my fav one to go to!!! Food is always fresh!!! But recently I went through the drive through with my kids I got my food I purchased extra sauces when I asked for them this young boy at the pick up window gives me 2 know I bought extra like 6 when I asked him can I have my sauces he rolled his eyes and wouldn't even speak to me! He dose something else while I'm waiting so I drove off and went inside! Bad experience for sure!!!! Building is beautiful new and remodeled. Hire more smiling faces !!!! read more

I ordered a quarter pound with Big Mac sauce. There was paper in the meat. Manager made excuses for how the can make a mistake.

If you get anything more than a drink you have to pull around the building and wait 10 minutes for anything. To top it off they bring a cart out with 3-4 cars food and have no idea who they go with. read more

Went in with my husband on 01/14/2023 new Mc Donald's. First off they were not busy. We ordered food inside. The food was cold and you could tell they never change the grease. I was so disappointed in such a beautiful new building. We will never go back. I do not recommend this place ever. The workers acted like they didn't care. Went to get a simple sausage egg McMuffin and they gave me a sausage McMuffin. No big deal i went back to get the correct sandwich & when I got there they said to me "are you sure you didn't eat the egg?" Worst McDonald's restaurant ever. Be sure to check you items one by one, they always mess up my orders. They didn't put my sausage biscuit in my bag when I ordered and hustled me 3 times over a $1 biscuit and would not refund or give me something instead. They asked me to call to corporate management and complain. The service is horrible and complaints are handled like it is a freaking Soviet Union Communism bureaucracy. Truly disappointed. I was driving back to Kansas City from Topeka and this place is right about a mile off the highway in a somewhat dirty, depressed neighborhood. A fair place by McDonald's standards. They have a sign that this place has been there for 50 years. Nothing noteworthy either good or bad about the food or service. read more

Drive thru messed up my order and Arthur, the manager said he would not give me my missing good because I was rude to him.

I no longer live in this neighborhood, and I am usually out west, but I would gladly eat at this McDonald's every time I'm hungry. The people are friendly. The manager was very polite and nice to customers and his employees. The restaurant was clean, in fact, I praised the worker who was cleaning while I was eating by telling him what a good job he was doing. The food was hot and delicious. We made an order inside to go. When we got home we found that my sons hamburger happy meal had a bite taken out of it already. We called the store and took multiple tries before anyone answered. The person I talked with had an attitude and wouldn't listen to me. In the end I was told I could bring it in and get the burger replaced, I asked to have the entire meal replaced since it would be cold by the time we went back to the store and came back home. I was told to bring in the burger with the bite out and we would discuss it. When I got to the store I was met with a horrible attitude and the manager refused to look at me. The manager said she would only replace the burger. When I said I would like the entire order I was told that I only brought in the burger so that is all that would be replaced. I told the manager what I was told on the phone and was called a liar and that it wasn't even believed that a bite had been taken out of the burger. I was also told I could have the 800 number to complain. I said I would like that and then had a cup thrown at me. When I got angry the manager said that is the only way you will get the number is on the cup. The complaint was made but the 800 number couldn't do anything at the moment. I went back to the counter to at least get the burger replaced so my son could eat. It took me almost 10 minutes before anyone would acknowledge I was even at the counter. The manager again claimed I was lying about the bite out of the burger but did give me a new burger. This was one of the worst lack of customer service experiences I have ever encountered and will never eat at this McDonald's. I will drive to the one in Topeka boulevard instead even though it is farther away. read more

On August 8, 2012 I purchased $30 in gift cards, $5 increments. We hand these out to customers who provide us with referrals. Due to some computer glitch, the card numbers did not match the receipts. Long story short, I asked for my money back. Keep in mind I spend approx $100 a month at this McDonalds, and told them so. That means not only is the customer spending the $5 from the gift card, but additional money likely on that visit. General Mgr Bob Charay was HORRIBLE to me. He threw the money at me when I came back for the refund. He refused to talk to me and walked off when I said, hey, what is your problem??? I had to call owner Karen Tyler TWICE in order to get a bland "oh sorry that happened" response from her. I called franchise office, and was told well, these owners are in business for themselves. McDonald's franchise Regional Mgr said, "While this was handled very wrong, not much we can do." I hope NO ONE frequents the six McDonald stores owned in Topeka by Karen and Steve Tyler. They sure do not deserve your business. read more
