Gotta give this location a good review. I was old school this time because I saw a flyer in the window(2 for $5) for breakfast. We were coming close to the breakfast deadline. Well low and behold, breakfast ends at 11:00am here. We had a little more time! Staff were friendly, food was hot, not as hot as our favorite location in Ashland but it was good. Super slow service. Kiosk broke. Register broke. This place had a lot going on. They were busy but everyone knows McDonald's are simple operations. Everything is what it is. I don't think it should have taken so long. There was a crazy amount of flies swarming the lobby. Super disappointed that I stopped here. I watched as they handed drinks to customers spilling over the side of the cup. Not a good look at all. The one guy in a different color shirt (red) had been on the phone the entire time we've been in here. Currently we are going on 20 minutes at a fast food restaurant. He has taken orders with the phone stuck to his ear the entire time. It's actually kind of impressive. Haha Anyway, exit 118 in VA off I-95 avoid this McDonald's at all cost. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich w extra tomatoes and lettuce. Order taker asked if I wanted crispy chicken. I said yes. I got the wrong sandwich and rather than offer to correct they charged me $6 to replace for what I ordered. The manager who should have comp'd the order taker's mistake looked at me coldly and said sorry I have to charge you bc you took a bite of the sandwich you didn't want. WT? So in general you know what you get at a McDonald's. Attentiveness and accuracy are not exactly their hallmark. This place takes the damn cake though. We ordered our food to go, but then stayed so the kids didn't make a mess. None of the happy meals had toys. One had exactly 6 fries. When I asked about the toys, they said they were out. When I pressed to check the dug up Pokémon cards from the bag and threw them on the counter. Getting a 7th fry was a challenge. My Big Mac I think managed to steal some lettuce from the sandwich next to it because it had several pieces on the outside but certainly none inside. And it wasn't just our order. Every single person who ordered while I was there had a problem. "Where's my drink?" "I ordered a meal, but I don't have fries." I was supposed to have a chicken sandwich as well." "Is this a large?" Could they be more rude? Tried to open the door at 730am, all doors locked. The manager was allowing employees in, saw me and said the inside was not open yet. When I asked when it would be open, she turned around and locked the door. I asked another employee who was outside sweeping if that was the manager, and he said it was. Terrible service. Should be called "slow food". Automated ordering but they don't even re-fill the ink in the machine and the receipts are blank. Told the manager but he didn't care. No one takes orders anymore and the people behind the counter don't even acknowledge your presence as a customer. I wish I was a secret shopper like I was long ago. We hosted our niece's 2nd birthday party here in their playland area. One of the few remaining toddler indoor play areas in the region. The venue was perfect! Plenty of place for little ones to run around and play and seating for adults to watch. Loved that the area was enclosed and away from the general seating area. The management was accommodating in allowing us to arrive early and decorate. The kids loved it. And of course what 2 year old doesn't love a McDonald's happy meal. Only complaint is that the floors were sticky and had to be re-mopped and we needed to wipe down the playarea. This is probably from lack of use. Very happy with the service and venue. read more

I wouldn't recommend at all. Stopped off at 1:30pm, 7/6/24. Every table was dirty. Their bathrooms were dirty, toilet paper everywhere, no soap, no paper hand towels. Two stalls/toilets in desperate need of deep cleaning and one out of order. They had half empty cups all over their counters. Literally the worst I've seen. Will not go back. Need a manager than knows how to balance their shift staff to keep the place clean. read more

I normally don't leave reviews, especially for a McDonalds but this one I had to pull over and type this. On my way to visit my mom I go through the drive through of this McDonalds. Order a ten piece meal with a large coke. Get my food, coke Is no where filled to the top 3/4 full and when handing it me, no attention was paid spelt got dropped on me and in my car (I'm writing this sticky) I look at the woman and ask for a new lid and straw (letting her know mine just fell on the floor of my car, never gave attitude and trying to stay pleasant) get no apology get handed the lid and straw no extra napkins nothing. As I pull off I reach into the bag to grab some napkins to wipe myself and some of my car down - there are no napkins, period. Pull out my fries, which are only filled half way and just had to pull over out of sheer announce into a Taco Bell parking concidering if I should just redo this "dinner" experience lol It's not a hard job. read more

I always stop by at this McDonald's because I am such a Diet Coke fan , and McDonald's always has the perfect recipe of my favorite habit. I was there literally just for a drink. The person told me what I wanted, I told her. She never told me the total like how they usually do, there was complete silence. There was no acknowledgement , or anything. I asked her if she is still there and she heard my order, and she answered with ... yeah? , I was like well alright? She then responded with, well if you are done , come around then.... At the window she was nice, but damn, simply to be nice from start to finish would be great. The second incident I had with them was, they made me wait for 6 minutes at the drive through. My orders were 2 double cheeseburgers , no pickles and a large French fry. After I had actually ordered, they took another 4 minutes , later to find out that they were cooking fresh fry. I only found out when I grabbed some driving home, but never they even told me that they were doing that. The fries didn't have salt, and my cheeseburgers has pickles. There wasn't even anybody there for them to even make that mistake. Unacceptable. Never again. read more

Absolute worst McDonalds experience I've ever head. Ordered 2 orders off mobile app in the parking lot. After going through the drive thru we were told the food had been sitting there too long and needed to be remade. It's been 3 minutes. Asked to pull to the side and they would have it rectified in 2 minutes. 10 minutes later we receive half of the food and begin eating what we can. The manager then wanted to see the bags as we are actively eating the portion of the orders we received. If we had known it was going to take 30 minutes I would have skipped the "fast food". Not up to the typical McDonald's level of quality.Yes I know that's funny. Actually what you expect at McDonald's is a pretty reliable level of just ok mediocrity at a cheap price, which is what I expect and love about it. Unfortunately this particular franchise appears to be struggling a bit when I came today. Broken ordering kiosk, ripped seat covers everywhere, some food items served just barely warm, and of course (as with many McDonald's because of the awful contracts they foist onto their franchisees) no working ice cream machine. Also a confusing ordering system where there were three different numbers for my order "tent", the receipt, and the bag that contained my order. Maybe that's why it took 15 minutes to get an order for two. I will say the workers were very nice about replacing my cold Big Mac, so two stars, not one. Come on McDonald's, I'm rooting for you! The worst fast food experience I have ever had. After paying and waiting in the drive thru, I was told to pull into the parking lot to wait for my food. I sat there for 20 minutes. Finally after calling multiple times and finally getting someone on the phone they brought out my order with very little acknowledgement of the mistake. What an awful place to stop. Service was bad at 2 pm. Two of three registers closed and no one staffing the third one. Lots of employees running around and no one to wait on us- and there was no line, food finally ordered and went to get drinks. It was filthy at the drink and condiment station. When food was ready a young woman with a scowl on her face called the number and pretty much threw the tray of food on the counter and walked away. Really?!
