The menu goes through changes on a regular basis so old favourites like the ten euro steak deal, lasagne and southern fried chicken have been replaced with more exotic options like falafel and seafood tagliatelle but you'll still find safe bets like burgers and meat and two veg on the updated menu. I've never had a bad meal here, but I couldn't rave about it either. It does the job to be sure, but it always feels a bit weird eating here as it's more of a late night venue with a young clientele, so as an "owl fogey" it's a spot I tend to avoid after a certain hour so I feel these negative connotations may have coloured my dining experiences slightly!

The sauce was too light on flavour and portion to really work with the potatoes, which were perfectly crisped Irish golds by the way. The fish was crispy outside and had the hint of cured/salty-smoky on the inside, definitely a lighter smoke on the salmon than you might get in Canada or New York. I washed it down with something else you don't really see in the states, Smithwicks pale ale. (Unlike most Irish pubs, there were mostly lighter beers here, pales and lagers, with Guinness holding down the dark side alone.)
