It is 6:16 AM. This McDonal's has been OPEN according to their posted schedule for 45 minutes. I am just finishing a sleep study at Sweetwater Hospital Association. I needed to get something to eat, before driving home. As we drove up there was one car. You could see no employees through the windows. We drove up to the drive through. The person answered and said for us to wait a few minutes, please. So we did. Ten minutes, to be exact. Then we asked for a response to see how much longer wait. None. We waited 2-3 more minutes. Then drove away. As we approached the drive through window there was no one in the front of the store at all. I would have liked to purchase a breakfast meal, but sadly, was unable to do so. And I have no idea why. McDonal's, you just lost business to Hardee's in Athens where they are fully staffed, serve hot and fresh food. I have been to Sweetwater McDonald's before, many times, and while always short staffed, was eventually served. I hate it that your business had lost business for the whole first hour of operation. Placed order via doordash. I received my order from doordash. The item I received was not what I ordered. It was clearly labeled on my burger no cheese. I received my burger with cheese on it. I directly contacted the store and briefly explained to them that I received my hamburger and it was not properly made. It was clearly documented on the order and the ticket no cheese. They were less than helpful with making it right. They asked me to either walk over there or drive over there. I explained to them that I am an amputee. I explained to them that I am traveling and I have nobody with me to even go there to return it and make this order right. The staff was less than helpful. I asked them then I want to speak to the store manager, not the shift manager that I was dealing with. I was informed the shift manager was not there that they would contact the district manager. I was informed while I was waiting at the district manager will not let nobody come from the store to bring it over to me. They wanted me to call doordash driver and see if he would drive back there to get my correct order. I explained to them that I am not going to pay a doordash driver again for their mistake. It was their mistake. Their people cannot read and fulfill an order in a correct manner is not my fault. So I was forced to contact doordash which doordash made it right. They refunded the money but they couldn't go back and get me the correct order. It's been over 45 minutes on a phone trying to get this situation rectified. waited in drive-thru line for over 30 minutes ordered hot mustard and paid money for the extra one. After I received my order and checked my order they gave me honey mustard. Had to back inside and to wait another 5 minutes only to be told that they were out of hot mustard. I gave them back honey mustard. I stopped in for breakfast and to use the restroom on my way back to Pittsburgh. I am coming from Chattanooga. The restroom and the restaurant was clean. I thought it was odd that they still had a Covid sneeze guard over the cashier station. It seemed out of place. It also was looking old. If they were going to keep it they need to replace it. I got hashbrowns and a sausage biscuit with cheese and a water. The hashbrowns were great! I passed through at 9:30 AM. The biscuit tasted like it was probably made at early in the AM. It did not seem fresh and seemed old. I was a little disappointed. It tasted OK but it did not taste great. They seemed busy enough that there should not be old biscuits. When I was ordering the cashier just stood there looking to the side. I was waiting for her to ask me if I was ready to order. We probably stood there for 20 seconds before I engaged her and asked if she was ready for me to order. It was awkward. A simple greeting by her would have done the trick. Good luck! read more

Stopped at this restaurant while traveling between Chattanooga and Knoxville. This has got to be the worse McDonald's in the company. It started with my order being wrong. Had to turn around and go back because I am not a fan of the sauce on the Big Mac (wasn't my order)! The lady at the counter was rude. Little short older lady. When I explained to her what they had done she just grabbed the bag and walked off. After about five minutes of waiting she came back, no apologies or anything. She rudely laid the bag on the counter and walked off. I stood there jaw dropped. I was the one inconvenienced with having to turn around and return. Not a nice lady!! I went on my way and then realized she had given me the right order but didn't change the fries to a large from a small which I had already eaten some and the fries had gotten cold and while waiting. I turned around and went back. Told another lady at the counter what was happening and I wanted fresh fries and the right size. When she returned she gave me a basket of fresh fries for my problems and she did apologize, unlike the other rude woman. This has to be the worst McDonald's in America. I don't understand how it's still in business. I sat at the intercom for 9 minutes today before anyone acknowledged me and there were only two cars in the parking lot which I assume were the employees. A 45 year old woman and a 40 year old man with a pink man-bun. I understand this job is the equivalent to a rocket scientist but I expect better service from two fully grown adults and the food tasted like Mcass. What a joke. This is just for my past order. I never order a McFlurry and today I did. When I picked up my order I asked is it normal for it to be so low in the cup (about 1 1/2" from the top). I was told no it is usually full but our machine is messed up. Well the manager was right there an heard us talking. Didn't offer a refund or anything just looked at me. I will never order that again because I should've been asked if I wanted a refund. As I was leaving they told a guy they couldn't make his shake cause the machine was down. Yes, it is a McDonalds, but I would never consider stopping here again no matter how desperate I am for food. This location is by far the slowest run location I have ever been to and even with their lack luster speed of service, they still didn't get the order correct. The store also had several bugs flying around nor did I see a single worker wearing a hair net. Do yourself a favor and stop somewhere else. We got there and there was a line a mile long. Then we got to the microphone (where you order) they told us to order at the second menu. After about an hour we got to the second window. We ordered our food. We waited at the number to waiting stall for another hour. Meanwhile other people got the same food as us before us. We had a dude come out an said the only thing they were waiting for was our fries. Another 30 minutes comes and the same guy comes back out and told us that half of what we ordered they didn't have. This McDonald's was an absolute wreck. I showed up around 9:15 pm to place an order in the lobby. The counter was covered in literally almost 100 receipts. They had no sweet tea. The other patrons there before me had been waiting almost 15 minutes for their orders that still did not come out right. The drive thru customer was very upset because he and the others behind him had been waiting forever. One car drive off. My order was wrong every time I received it. She relayed it to another employee, that employee relayed it to another, finally got toilet paper, went back to the back for 5 minutes, came back with same roll, finally said just give me the damn roll so I can shit. The workers at this location need an attitude adjustment. We ordered our food in the lobby at 3:11 pm. After 20 minutes and noticing people that came in a while after us had already received their food, we went up to the assistant manager and asked where our food was. We just wanted a status. We received a response of "You will get it when it is ready". I looked at the monitor displays and noticed that our food order was not listed. I mentioned this and then she copped another attitude with me about it and finally asked for our order number. Mind you, we are at the 30 minute mark here. She finally pulls it up and realizes that either she gave our food to the drive thru or had marked it as completed. We didn't even get a "sorry" or an apology at this point. Finally, after a bit more frustration, I asked for my money back. That took an additional 5 minutes. We asked the manager for the store number and the response was "I don't even know what store number it is". Funny, it is on every receipt, and I promise you that they knew the store number. I think the assistant manager and manager need to be demoted back to fry girl and fry guy. I won't come here again. We ended up going across the street to Burger King and had our food within 3 minutes. read more
