I don't like this McDonalds. Although in the "downtown" city I live, I'm disappointed by the medicre service, slow delivery and lack of specials (for example, the $1 any-size-soda they never participated in, or $.49 ice cream cones, etc). I wonder if they'll do the free-coffee-breakfast-hours promotion during February-March. Anyway, food is typical McDonalds fare. When I went in the last time to get a soda and cheeseburger, I waited over 5 minutes for someone's McDouble to come out first. And in the meantime there were a bunch of idiots in the back room (by the fryers) that I could hear telling crude jokes and rumors about their weekend nights. I mean, I'm not hoping for much when I step into a McDonalds. But even then it disappointed me. read more

Bought $16 worth of food and was told they can no longer give cups for water. Since when do you have to pay for a glass of water?

They forgot my drink and I just got a vanilla mcflurry as they forgot to add M&MS to it and then just poured some on top like that changed it. The food was also very cold which is upsetting. read more

Ordered 3 things. One Sausage, egg and cheese McMuffin one Sausage, egg, and cheese Mc griddle and one sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. Paid left and took home. The biscuit had egg only. So not only do you have to count the things you order you have to completely open because you can't trust them. read more

This is consistently the best McDonald's in the area. They don't seem to cut corners and the staff is always friendly of course mistakes are made once in a while, but they always make it right and are nice about it. Other local locations will skip seasonings and pull fries early and such. This location is always proper. read more

Not only was the lobby clean! The food was fresh and looked just like the pictures in the commercial! My name is David, I'm 6'3 and was wearing my orange "College hunks" uniform. I was in this McDonald's at 9:30am-10am on 12/2/19. One of the employees who works there is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen! We ordered inside and were given our drink cups. The guy running the register put the cups upside down on the counter, I told him that was unsanitary and he just glared at me. As we were waiting we noticed he left 2 items off of our order so we had to pay again. AGAIN he puts another cup down upside down on the counter. It took almost 15 minutes to get our food. We leave and go home. When we get home we see that BOTH of the two Chicken Club sandwiches we ordered have NO CHICKEN on them. So then we have to drive all the way back to this location about 12 miles from our home. I ask for a manager and show him the sandwiches and he does not say one word, he just begins ringing in the order again and having it made. He completely ignored us. A female employee was the ONLY one to acknowledge that there had been a problem. The manager acted like a teenager who was pissed off and just slung things around sullenly and refused to speak to us. Speaking as someone who has restaurant experience he is NOT management material but the young lady there who helped us IS. As we were leaving I said "Thank you" to the manager, he turned his back to us just to be rude. So I said "Thank you" again and he just walked away. It was not our fault that our sandwiches were meatless. Had he handled this properly I would not even be writing. This was the worst McDonalds experience EVER. I come here now and then for my french fry fix. The staff is nice, sometimes pretty funny actually. The dining room is clean. My order comes out accurately. I'm an admitted fry snob, if my fries don't come out crispy and piping hot I've been known to send them back. But they never complain, they never roll their eyes, they just kindly replace them without throwing in my face that I'm a fry brat. I like it here. read more

This place is dangerous. I opened my child's happy meal and found a used plastic glove. We are unsure what type of chemical or bodily fluid was on or in it. It was placed on top of our food and then the happy meal box was closed, so obviously someone put it into the box, on purpose, to harm my children. I tried to talk to the owner and they refused to call me back. They have been reported to the health department. Apparently, based on what they did to us last night, someone who works there is trying to cause physical harm or death to customers. Me and my kids were at McDonald's and they were told they were to old to be in the play set . After they asked them to get down my kids said that they are 11 and 12 Because they are, but the employee continued to say that their were complaints from the parents.After this my daughter said that it is probably her nose ring.next my other daughter proceeded to tell me that one of the other kids told her " my grandma said your to loud " she is in a playroom what do you expect. A little after 4:00 yesterday afternoon, I'm driving around with the grandkids when I get a craving for Chicken McNuggets, which McDonald's has been advertising on their 2/$5 menu for quite some time. We pull into the South Lyon McDonald's drive thru on Pontiac Trail between 9 and 10 Mile and I order two Chicken McNuggets for $5.00. The price comes up as $4.49 each. I tell the guy that McDonald's has been advertising Chicken McNuggets for 2/$5 for a long time and that the sign I am looking at right now at the drive thru has a picture of Chicken McNuggets and a price of 2/$5 and that's what I expect to pay for them. So he gets the manager who tells me that the 2/$5 ended yesterday and it might take some time to change the signs, but there is nothing she can do about it - they are now $4.49 each. A few things to complain about with this McDonald's.... 1. Ordered 2 kids happy meals and were charged an additional $.20 for "chocolate milk". All other McDonald's that I have gone to have never done this. 2. When asked "why the up-charge"...a shift manager came on the speaker and basically said its always been like that and if you don't like it...go somewhere else. He was RUDE and ABRASIVE! He also made other comments such as "you don't like the price...go somewhere else". When I told him that I was going to file a complaint he said "that's what they all say". I asked for his name and he said "I don't have to tell you that". All of this was taking place over the speaker while simply trying to order 2 kids meals, with my kids in the car, and me questioning why we are being charged for milk?! There is a class action law suit in progress against McDonald's (Knowles vs. McDonalds) for this up-charge. A customer like myself, will be adding myself to the list. On top of this, I will be filing a complaint to the regional office (NOT THE FRANCHISE OWNER..which is the first course of action they take when you call their customer 1-800 number) to let them know what I experienced today. I went there 4/1/15 and when i ordered fires a drink and also the worst burger ive probably had there it was just a number 1 with cheese but i took it apart to take off the tomato and found a long blond hair, i was very grossed out and threw my food away, i was not impressed! I've been to most of the McDonald's in the West Detroit Metro area and this one in South Lyon has been the most consistant as far as service and quality. The only problem I see, it gets backed up at times and I'm sure this is a problem that other resturants would like to have. read more
