We ended up here because we were in a hurry when we were driving from Toulouse to Barcelona, and we made the mistake of not planning ahead in bringing food/sandwiches from home, or planning the time to eat better. Most places in France close around 2 pm, and we didn't plan our lunch spot properly, so this was the only thing open.
Pros:
- In true American fashion, this is open all the time.
- The food is edible and will fill you up.
- You can get a variety of burgers, 3 types of salads, a few McFlurries, fries, and the standard rest of the McDonalds menu.
- The outdoor area is quite large with a playground for kids, but does have lot of people smoking (this is after all, France)
- You can order with the kiosks without having to talk to anyone.
Cons:
- Food is more expensive than McDonalds in America. We got 2 small salads that weren't even good, and a medium sized fries for 16,30€.
- For "fast food" this wasn't super fast - we had to wait for a bit for our food (I thought salads would be faster to make) but our quick stop here ended up being 30 min.
- Fries were kind of soggy, would not order these. I've had much better.
- I thought the salads would be healthier but they ended up being not super fresh pieces of iceberg lettuce with 2 pieces of deep fried chicken on top and dressing from packets. It was "pretend healthy". I guess I should have asked if the chicken was deep fried or grilled, but I may have been better off getting a burger instead.
All in all, not really a fan. Next time we'll plan better so we don't have to eat lunch at McDonalds. If you can, go somewhere else for a sandwich or a more proper meal. read more
