What in the world has happened at this location? The awesome manager seems to be gone, along with the drink station and new ownership appears to have taken over. This is now set up just like the LWR location which is HORRIBLE too. I recently signed up for the McDonald's app. I showed that I have a $6 meal but when I scanned it said expired on his register. So i showed him my phone said 1xday. His comment was "well what do u want me to do about it? I said I'm not sure it's your app and I drove here waited in line and you are telling me you can't help me? His response was "not everyone knows how these apps work." I felt this is way to much frustration over a discount and if your company has an offer you should be trained. I ordered a buttermilk crispy sandwich, and i don't know how it's possible to put beef instead of chicken on a chicken sandwich. Unbelievable!! I paid at the 1st window, told 'Toni' to round it up.. she dropped a couple of coins and became exasperated, huffing and puffing, I spoke louder to round it up. She began yelling at me, telling me not to yell at her (which I didn't do, I spoke louder so she could hear me). She became more rude, and started to speak unkindly again, holding my dollar hostage so I started honking my horn and finally she gave me my money! When I went to the pick up window, I told the gentleman that the first lady at the cash window, was extremely rude and who shows up? Evidently her name is Toni, and she grabbed my drink from his hands and continued to bitch me out, I haven't a clue as to what she was saying because once again, I was over talking her and telling her to give me my drink! I picked up my phone and was getting ready to record her and finally she gave me my drink and I drove off. I called the first time and was told that Ashley, the manager was not available but evidently I was speaking to another person that was in some kind of management position and I asked for the Direct Manager's name, I was hung up on, I called again and asked not only for the direct manager's name but also the name of the cashier. I was never given a Mgr name and was told that the cashier was Toni! I will continue to find out as far as I have to go who this awful woman was and why a customer should be treated this way. So it's a normal day I get hungry and decide on McDonald's. Drive thru line was not long order was taken (cheeseburger ketchup and pickles only) everything was fine and dandy until I get my food, ketchup and onion even though on the wrapper it said ketchup and pickles. The drive through line wrapped around the building so I went inside. The server had her back to the counter. She was stacking and dropping cones for ice cream. It was interesting to see this in such slow motion. She was not serving anyone else. Just getting things ready. When she finally took my order I had to wait a long time to get the food. It's 10 pm. I was starving and absolutely hate the McDonald's on University so I decided to hit the highway and visit the one on Fruitville since I've had good experiences here in the past. The fish I ordered was hard as cardboard. I took one bite and threw it out. I am disappointed that the night staff here was so lazy that they couldn't make me a fresh fish. This morning I passed by this Mc Donalds after dropping off my wife to work and almost pulled off because of all the cars on drive thru. Not having time to really go anywhere else I went anyways with like 9 cars in front of me. Little to my suprise the line moved extremely quickly and my food was correct, hot & fresh as can be. Service ok. Most expensive McDonald's outside an airport. $2 for an iced tea. I can make a bathtub full of iced tea for the cost of two drinks. Every item priced higher unless it's on national ad. No two-for on hash browns, apple pies etc. Shake prices very high and machine is hit or miss. When you use the McD app, staff acts put out. She then proceeded to argue with me about my order. Once she figured out she over charged me, I was given the incorrect order, a coke.
