Dear McDonald's Rockport Management, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding a recent visit my wife and I made to your restaurant in Rockport, Texas. Because your restaurant is located in such a beautiful area with a wonderful sea view, we decided to stop for an early dinner at approximately 5:30 PM. Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable experience turned into a very frustrating one. We ordered two combo meals, one with a Sprite and the other with a Coca-Cola, along with a cup of water. When our order was called, we discovered that no ketchup or mustard had been provided with our meals. In addition, the drinks were incorrect. We received a Coca-Cola, a water, and another beverage that tasted like sparkling water but was definitely not Sprite. I approached the counter to request the missing condiments. The employee who assisted me, wearing a hoodie, handed them over in a manner that I found rude and unprofessional. My wife then went to the counter to ask about her missing Sprite, but her concern was dismissed and not handled respectfully. I returned to the counter a second time to address the issue. The same employee began arguing with me regarding the Sprite order before finally informing me that the restaurant had run out of Sprite and that I would need to choose another beverage. Even after selecting a replacement drink, it took an unreasonable amount of time to receive it, which only added to our frustration. What concerns me most is not the missing condiment or unavailable soft drink, as these things can happen. Rather, it was the poor customer service, lack of communication, and disrespectful treatment we experienced throughout our visit. I encourage you to review this incident and provide additional customer service training to your staff. Having a prime location in a popular tourist destination is certainly an advantage, but long-term success depends on treating customers with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. I would appreciate hearing what actions will be taken to address this matter and prevent similar experiences for future customers read more

Service terrible at this McDonalds. We sat in line for 30 minutes for 2 Diet Cokes. Our second visit I went inside to order a sugared drink for my diabetic boyfriend who was in the car. The Dr Pepper and Coke were flat. When I told a worker she was more worried about getting off on time to help me out. There were 4 workers walking around the kitchen area, not working and joking around. It took 10 min for me to get a drink from behind the counter, which was also flat. Our food is regularly cold and the wait time is terrible. We no longer visit this MCD, this is very sad. read more

My first meal of 2024 was from this McDonald's and frankly it wasn't too bad. I haven't had McDonald's in years because I am not a huge fan of fast food, so I don't really have a point of reference between good or bad McDonald's. However, it was new year's day and everything was closed except Whataburger and McDonald's. The line at the other fast food place was absolutely insane and it was not moving, so we decided to give this one a chance. We were the first ones in line and were able to get our food in just 5 minutes. They even gave us a little cup with whipped cream for my dog which I thought it was pretty nice of them. Overall the food was decent...not award winning, but it hit the spot. I would definitely come back to this McDonald's for a quick bite after visiting Rockport beach. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Ordered online, went to pick up, they wouldn't give it to us because the phone that ordered wasnt there, even though we shared the code and told them what the order was...Called and asked the manager to deliver it to us, of course that was a no (which was expected), but asked them to refund it and they said they wouldn't do that either.POOR MANAGEMENT!!!! read more

Food was cooked well, but the service was a complete joke. The woman at the window was rude right off the bat, and they ended up forgetting my drink. read more

Words can't explain how disappointed and disgusted i am at the level of service provided at this god forsaken Mcdonald's location. At a nearly empty location it shouldn't take 15 minutes to bring my order curb side and then have the audacity to give me a Coke instead of my Dr. Pepper. Absolute day ruiner, HELL, they can all go to HELL!! read more

We had to take back three shakes because they tasted like expired milk, and when we told the manager what was wrong she said she couldn't give us a refund witch was fine we just wanted a different shake, and then continued to have rude and aggressive attitude towards us and practically K.O the shakes into the trash bin, and then tossed our new shakes at us like a cheating husband throwing money at a stripper. (no apology were givein) read more

Just unbelievably slow. Always no matter what time or month or day or year, unbelievably slow. Have to do better or just leave town. Excuse is our lobby is backed up. BS. read more

The food tastes very good. The drinks are also good. The bathrooms are very clean, and so are the tables and floors. The workers are very nice and welcoming. read more

Wife ordered curbside and waited 45 minutes until she went inside. Apparently, they gave away the order and said it never came through. Wife showed proof of order from app and it took 15 minutes to remake it. Not one single person apologized for the wait or mix up and this was the manager. read more

I see the other reviews about the service and I wanted to share my experience. I ordered on the kiosk an iced coffee with vanilla flavoring. As I was waiting, a young lady came and asked if the amount she had put in the cup of vanilla syrup was ok & I said "-yes". That's has never ever happened at any McDonald's so I needed to give a ! As for the young lady "thank you " for going the extra mile. Keep up the good work! read more

This McDonald sucks no lettuce on a Mac chicken how do you even do that and line if super slow get better

this has to be the worst establishment i've ever been to in my life. workers were the rudest i've ever encountered, my friend and i placed two separate orders both of which were missing items. we noticed right away that one of the items given to us was messed up so we asked about it after we were given the rest of our food since we were asked to wait at the curb (while there was no line) for our order, the woman running food out had a terrible attitude, laughed at us asking about our incorrect order and proceeded to walk away without offering to fix it or even offering a solution. i don't know how this place is even still open with the reviews i'm seeing. read more

Every time order chicken nuggets they are raw. The ice cream machine is never working. The service is absolutely awful. The staff doesn't even know what's in the menu or the pricing of the menu. The management is completely unprofessional and rude. They close even before the hours say the my do. I'd rather waste my gas and drive to AP and get my food there. DO NOT EAT HERE!! read more

Still the worst service in town. Completely disorganized and not friendly at all. Will never be back!

Ordered 5 meals, all of them bright pink on inside. Tried calling several times with no answer. read more

I should've known that something was awry with this McDonald's when I pulled up. I saw a couple choosing to fish in the creek by the parking lot and cast a net for fresh crawfish instead of eating here. Why would someone get a Fillet-o-Fish here when there's a salty marsh right at the end of the drive thru where you can get something for free? I came here, and the ice cream machine was busted. Nope. So I asked for a shake. That's out too. Dr Pepper? Sure, pull forward. I'm pretty sure that I got Diet Coke instead, and it was rather light on the ice for such a hot day. The parking lot was leaking something from the interior of the store into the marsh at the end of the parking lot, which looks hazardous. read more

Food was great and even though I ordered a lot of meals I didn't have to wait for it very long maybe two minutes. They were also very friendly read more

Worst customer service ever. Went one night and the lady was giving a nasty disrespectful attitude getting the whole order wrong. the next morning they got my entire order wrong lady at the second window was rolling her eyes raising her voice talking to me like i was 6 years old. i called after and the manager was kind enough to help me out and offered to fix my meal the next day. i'm not going to shame the restaurant because there is nothing wrong with it except for these disrespectful workers who are being hired read more

Drive through line around the corner. Then we pulled up with our mobile order and the kitchen closed to us (people of color). We waited by the drive through window over 5 minutes while the staff had a circle meeting next to us. We finally got service after another car came to the drive through. read more

Fifteen minutes for a Big Mac Meal. My order was processed at 2:16 pm and called at 2:31 PM. Food quality was acceptable although my sandwich was a little cold. While waiting for my meal, I witnessed another customer get her meal and ask for the shake she ordered. "Oh, our shake machine is broken," was the reply. Why hadn't the customer been told this when they had placed their order???? The customer got a refund, but would have been better if they had been informed initially. Customer behind me also waited 15 to 20 minutes for their meal -- and the french fries were not provided. When that customer asked for them they were told would be ANOTHER five minutes! PLUS, when this customer looked at their ticket they realized that they were overcharged. When the customer goes up to get a refund for the overcharge the individual and manager decided to argue with the customer and did not actually listen to the customer. I overheard the conversation I NEVER heard, "I'm sorry" or "I apologize". Instead, it was argument and excuses. Lashonda is apparently the manager here and I never saw her step up to address the situation. POOR, POOR, POOR! read more

They sell Happy meals without toys. Very bad service. Waited 15 minutes in the drive thru for two happy meals. My kids were very disappointed when we got back to our rented house and the happy meals were missing the toys. It should be illegal for this place forget the happy meal toys, why even go to McDonald's? Should have just ordered Dominoes. read more

Worst McDonalds in the universe. Consistently bad for over 15 + years. I am a local and McDonald's should be ashamed to have their name on this location. My family and numerous friends have come to the realization that this town does not have a McDonald's. The only thing world class about their French fries is they are the worst in the world. The fillet of fish .... Take it out of the bag and just throw it into the trash. It is always cold and rancid. SHAME on McDonald's for not taking the franchise away from the owner. My town deserves better. McDonald's should be ASHAMED to allow this horrible food and service to continue. Dining room is never open, bathrooms are third world dirty ..... don't waste your time ordering in the drive thru and don't waste your money. Be warned. Don't go to this place, you will just throw your food in the trash can. read more

Horrible service. Sat in line - didn't take my order, drove up to the window and sat there even longer still didn't take order. Finally came to the window and told me I didn't wait long enough and I had to go back thru the line bc she was the only one there and couldn't take my order at the window. She then closed the window on my face. Seemed like it was the manager too. Lesson learned. read more

Waited an hour for my food and finally got it and it was burnt don't recommend this place

We dined in. Food was as ordered, fresh and hot. The place was very clean. The staff was very courteous and attentive.

This must have been the worst customer service I've experienced at a MCDONALDS. I've had a fair share but while we were in the drive thru, we asked for a few min to decide what we wanted. I noticed some attitude from a young lady when she just hung up the intercom. TWO MINUTES passed and I was getting my app ready and this gentleman told us we had to move when we we're about to get ready to order. He acted like we had been there for 10 minutes trying to figure out what to order when that was not the case. He asked us to move but we were like no we just got here. He said If we didn't move he was going ti call the cops... LITERALLY NO BUSINESS telling a fucking customer to move if not cops are involved? that's horrible business and whoever the manager is not teaching there workers right. How could I trust a place like this again? read more

Sitting at McDonald's in rockport. Went to pick up a snack before my hair appointment today, the employees now refuse to come to the counter to help you, they want you to use the order machines they've installed. I had a question so I went to the counter and they all turned and looked at me and kept working. Another couple walked in after I finally figured out how to add something and pay and they were a much older couple and clearly didn't know how to use the order machine and they went to the counter and asked someone to take their order instead. The manager in the light blue shirt told them they had to finish what they were doing before someone could help them and they said they were just going somewhere else where they would be helped. Put in my order in the machine at 10:32 and I'm still here waiting for two breakfast sandwiches and a side.... and no employees will make eye contact with me. great customer service read more

We stopped by this location multiple times about a month ago when we were in town. We actually only went through the drive thru on both occasions so I don't have a lot to say about bathrooms, cleanliness, space, seating, etc. What I noticed mainly was the drive thru not being very timely. Normally this would be because of a long line of cars but that was not the case. Nice people and the foot was typical McDonald's. The drive thru was full of miscellaneous trash also but again not sure that is so unusual. read more
