    Crispy McChicken Tatziki (€5,20)
    Sandee L.

A visit to this McDonald's is worth it solely for the building and aesthetic. Complete with blingy chandeliers and stained glass. We tried the Crispy McChicken with tatziki, which was basically a McChicken with a couple slices of tomato and the tatziki instead of mayo. The chicken wings, although small, were juicy and crispy with a bit of heat! Enjoyed the KitKat McFlurry too. The apple pies here are deep fried (as you'll find everywhere else in the world minus the USA who bakes them, except Hawaii). Some unique sauce options here too but they charge for them! Ketchup too!

The famous McDonald's imperial in Porto Portugal! Elisa why did you go to McDonald's in Portugal? Well it's actually a point to see on your tour of Porto. It's honestly super busy full of tourists. The restaurant is indeed a beautiful place. The imperial Cafe once stood there and was "iconic" in the 1930s. The stained glass windows remain it has chandeliers and a beautiful staircase. The menu is the same with of course some additions that is normal for Portugal. They have the kiosks to order. And I think I did see a girl taking orders behind a counter on the side but I wasn't 100% sure. I must say it does feel healthier eating McDonald's in Portugal because the chicken isn't processed its actually breaded chicken. Even the beef patties tasted good. Beer is available here too. So when you're in Porto stop in to admire the buildings beauty and get a bite to eat so you can continue sightseeing. Enjoy!!

This is the most famous Mcdonalds that you have to see. Named "the most beautiful Mcdonalds in the world", the interior is full of chandeliers and beautiful pieces of artwork. It definitely doesn't look like your normal Mcdonalds. We stopped by to check it out but didn't eat here. We never eat at American fast food joints when we travel abroad. But you totally should grab something if you want to! They have several kiosks to place your order and grab it from the counter. Cool to see then move on to the train station around the corner.

I tried & liked the toasts and pancakes. Nice restroom. Also I liked the interior & exterior decorations. I arrived early so plenty of seats.

    Fanciest McDonald's in the world?
    Norman L.

The Imperial McDonalds is maybe the fanciest McDonalds in the world? Doing a constant brisk business and keeping up. Stopped in because we needed a quick lunch and it was fancy . Food was good but the fries were surprisingly cold and old, considering how busy they are, not sure how they managed that. But worth a look of you are nearby with limited time for lunch or to just snap a quick pic.

This review is strictly for the ambiance only as I didn't eat here. When I saw a reel on Instagram before my trip featuring this McDonald's in Porto as the most beautiful McDonald's in the world, I knew I had to check it out during my visit. I can say without a doubt, it sure lives up to that reputation. This is not like any McDonald's I've ever seen. The first thing you see is an incredible entryway with a large bronze eagle sculpture behind the golden McDonald's sign. You walk in and see the high ceilings with sparkling chandeliers. There are also large beautiful art deco-style stained glass windows. This McDonald's really gives off a swanky, upscale vibe. This location is next-level!

Came to check out the "fanciest" Mcdonalds in the world! The interior and exterior are pretty cool, but the food is the same lol. Tons of self order kiosks to order from and the food was quick even though there were so many orders. Pretty efficient! Coming from the US, I appreciated having snack wraps and mini McFlurrys on the menu. I also really enjoyed their curry sauce which was like a sweet and sour sauce but spicy. Food was as expected and quality good. One of the better McDonald's we've been to. Decent amount of seating outdoors and indoors. Bathroom needs a code and I'm not sure what to use, but it's easy to just wait for someone to come out and you can catch the door.

The exterior and interior of this McDonald's was awesome compared to one back home in the states. It was very crowded but they have lots of kiosks to order from. They had soups on the menu so I thought that was cool because I love soups. Other than that, it's just a McDonald's. Nice to check out because of the building.

The building has history and they did a decent job maintaining the exterior and some of the interior but it's just a slightly fancier McDonald's. Come inside and you'll see one stainless wall and some chandeliers. The generic McDonald's seats and the numerous huge kiosks at the entrance really kills the vibe. The food is what you'd expect from McDonald's. I got takeout for our ride back to Lisbon and it was prepared quick and was still warm by the time I had it on the train. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's located near the train station and we walked by it almost every night back to our hotel. It seem to always be packed at night with street performers and homeless people outside but was pretty empty when we stopped by in the morning.

Standard McDonald's fair no different than in the US. One extra star because it is very clean, large, and feels luxurious vs a typical US location!

People told me that McDonald's in Europe was way better than the States but based on my trip to this location I felt the opposite. Fries were not as fresh and crispy as what I had back home. Nothing was different or better. Forget about the food. Just come inside to check out the so called "most beautiful McDonald's".

the food was cold and raw it felt like thye put it in a microwave and expected it to cook my meat was raw i still heard the moo in the burger. terribble place. becky im finding u. and ur mc-ribs suck. there wasent even a bone in the ribs yall suck i had to walk up to the waitress who was taking a smoke break that lasted 1 hour!!! i hate this place and i will never return! dont go here!

Coolest architecture of any McDonald's that I have ever visited. Definitely must stop by when in Porto just for the view. Wasn't overly crowded when we were there.

We saw the two waiters come to the street and picked up a few bags of rolls that was delivered and likely for their sandwiches they planned on serving for the day. Word about this must be going around since besides me and my wife, there were 2 other group of people waiting for them to open. Pregar is definitely a small restaurant with only 8 tables inside and 4 tables outside. Their menu was separated by language and our waitress opened it on the English menu. My wife just had soup and I ordered the Serra (Portuguese steak with cheese) on a roll. The price was just for the burger and so I added the fries which came on a dipping side (they had sweet chili, horse radish mayo, ketchup) just to name a few. We actually had the sweet chili and later the horse radish mayo to try. So the steak sandwich I had was Medium (they ask how you want it cooked and went with how the Portuguese like their steaks.) It was a simple no frills sandwich. Just steak. Melted cheese on a roll. The bread was soft and complimented the meat in a 1-1 ratio which I like. Sometimes with a burger, you have more bread with a small burger in the middle. The Serra was 12 euro and thought that was a fair price for a steak sandwich. Overall, I'd give the Serra 4 stars. Service was wonderful and our waitress was attentive and helpful with her suggestions on the steak sandwich to go with. 5 stars. Overall, it was a great lunch and we enjoyed being one of the first ones to dine that day. By the time we were about to finish, more patrons were coming in to eat. Definitely a place If you happen to be near Pregar, I would recommend to try.

I'm very glad we stopped here while we were in Porto. I'm also glad we managed to find two *seats* together - the place is tiny, and well-attended. It's a bit cramped if you're dining in, but worth it (assuming you can find a seat.) I was also spoiled after the first fried cheese-dog arrived like 2 minutes after ordering it, despite it being so busy - the pica pao took a longer time (not an unreasonably long time), as did the second cachorrinho I decided I needed to get even though I wasn't *terribly* hungry after sharing the first two items, cause it was so good, and I knew I wouldn't be back any time soon, if ever (was fine by me, as I was also enjoying trying a bunch of Portuguese spirits for cheap - 3.5 euro for a decently large glass of ginja, 3-5 euro for various Portuguese brandies... they thought I was weird ordering a large glass of ginja, but it goes *so* well with the salty deep fried food served here.) Cachorrinhos are super unhealthy obviously, being basically a fried hot dog stuffed with cheese, but excellent, totally worth the roughly 5 bucks. The pica pau Americo was also a pretty good value, as a "small" is... not small. I figured I should try both of the things they were most known for - the pica pau was great too, but if I were ever back, I'd probably just stuff my face with wonderful fried crispy cheese dogs.

The way you DO want your dinner to go while in the Porto area - 2 of 2…read more - - - - - I had already picked out the restaurant for this dinner, the scruffy and crowded O Triunfante 2 that I remember being near the Campo 24 de Agosto Metro station. It had closed. I then walked over to O Campo, since it looked like the same formula, but they didn't take plastic. On the street, I spotted one of those food delivery guys on a Vespa. He was from Venezuela, so I was able to more easily get some insights from him. I walked a ways further and arrived at Madureira's. I went in and explained that I wanted to use the restroom before settling in. The apparent owner or manager told me where to go - I mean actual directions to the restroom! After coming back into the dining room, I was seated and, while one waiter was the principal one, there were two of them helping out. They, too, had the standard white shirts and black slacks. And, much like the owner, they were patient and detailed as I tried to decide what I wanted, providing good explanations. Madureira's is a medium-sized locale, with a woodsy interior. They were busy. It is a popular eatery and many customers are locals. They had a lot of fish options, but I wanted meat or chicken. They had this small cut of beef presented with potatoes on top of it. When it arrived, it was fairly pink and I was worried. There was nothing to worry about. It was very easy to work with and it was delicious. I asked him about the color and if it could be cooked in other ways - for future reference. We arrived at the verbiage "mais cocido/a." I usually order meat medium-well. I was in a good mood owing to this pleasant experience. I thus summoned some opinions for dessert and settled on a slice of chocolate cake that incorporated Nutella. I devoured it. It was excellent. It goes without saying that the service at Madureira's was very good across the board. I asked for the bill and the P.O.S. (point of sale) arrived. When the credit card was tapped on top of it, I looked at the display screen and it ran in Euro. It didn't even require that I push any buttons. There is a lot to try here, as is the case at so many good traditional Portuguese restaurants. I would return. It's about a 5 minute walk from the Campo 24 de Agosto Metro station, heading east of the central Trindade hub toward the main train station at Campanha.
