Food~I ordered 2 sausages egg muffins w/ cheese, a hash brown, and an orange juice. The sandwiches were hot and tasted very good but, hash brown was luke warm/salty, and orange was refreshing. Service~Drive thru was only open the cashier taking my order was very rude and was rushing me to order even through there was no line. I asked her "were they only serving breakfast?" her response "ummm yeah are you ready to order?" I asked a few questions regarding the meal verses ordering each item separately but, it seems to irritate her more. I asked her "is there somewhere else she needed to be?" She said no, why? I just finished my order and pulled to the window. She handed me my food then she went hand me my drink I said "I am so sorry what's this?" She said "lemonade" I said "I exactly ordered an orange juice" she closes the window very hard. A different cashier made my orange juice she said "sorry about that is there anything else you need?!" Ambiance~I definitely wouldn't go back to this location anytime soon due to very poor customer service. To be fair the other cashier was very polite and, greeted me with a smile. I know it's early in the morning but, it's still your job to provide great customer service! You need to ask for all your food to be cooked fresh or you're probably going to get what's been sitting for a while! They routinely mess up orders. My last visit for 2 items:a McDouble that arrived without requested extra onions, extra beef patty, which was $1.09, and pickles. It did, however, arrived with ketchup, even though the receipt clearly said no ketchup no mustard.. if it was a one time thing or even a rare occasion at this location, I probably wouldn't be writing this, but they often mess these things up. They also routinely undercooked their hashbrowns in the morning, so that not only are they not crispy at all, they're soggy with oil. My incorrect Mc double was accompanied by a shamrock Oreo McFlurry. The only problem is, they forgot to blend it so all there was was this giant thing of ice cream or whatever that is, with green jelly stuff in the very center. The green jelly stuff is way too minty to eat by itself. And there was a dusting of Oreo crumbs, but no actual pieces. Every other location is pretty uniform with their quality. They never ever have lemon for the iced tea. They are always out. I have pictures that I would like to have loaded up to show you, but I guess there's no way to do that. Once, we ordered three packages of sugar cookies with three each in a package. We paid for three packages of three. We received one package of three. When we drove back to the drive up window, which was just a couple minutes later after waiting in the line, we were told that they could not give us the other cookies because we had already driven away and could have eaten them Tried to call them to complain. They never ever ever answer their phone never Emails to the corporate office generate a form letter that says they will contact the specific location. I wrote them back and said, but the specific location doesn't care. I got another form letter saying that they would forward this to the location. I would avoid this location at all costs! There were beggars on either side of the lane to order at the drive thru, I was not comfortable pulling up alongside them, so I parked and went in. It was fairly empty inside, I placed my order at the kiosk, two cheeseburgers and small fries, easy enough. IT TOOK OVER THIRTY MINUTES! They serviced over 15 cars in the drive thru during that time. HOLY CRAP... came in for a bite this morning, ended up being a bit scared for my well-being. I'd ordered my usual - a Sausage McMuffin w/egg, a couple of hash browns, and OJ - and sat down to eat on the Grand Ave. side of the restaurant. Aside from the blatant error in my meal (more on that later), things were fine until I noticed some arm waving at the last booth near the restrooms. I'd had my headphones on up to that point but removed them to hear what was going on. Not really sure what the argument about but there was one person who is trying to keep two people apart. The two people he was trying to keep apart were really going at each other - swinging arms, fists balled, and interestingly enough, one of them had a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon in this hand that he was taking drinks up out of while he was still trying to swing at the other guy. This is a McDonalds. I got up and walked up to the front counter and told the people there that there is a fight going on in the back. Then I moved myself to the other side of the restaurant. It took a good minute and a half to 2 minutes for anybody to come from behind the counter to take a look at what was going on and probably another several minutes before anything was done back there. Honestly, while this is a McD's that I frequent regularly, it's also consistently the dirtiest, often has panhandlers at the door, has people sleeping in the back booths, and loud and obnoxious shouting is not uncommon. Oh, and my breakfast sandwich issue? I got a McGriddles instead of the Sausage Egg McMuffin that I'd ordered. Ah well. read more

I come here all the time as a delivery driver. During the day it's slow but they get the job done. At night they accept orders then refuse to make them due to "limited staff" DONT ACCEPT THE ORDERS THEN. You're taking time and money away from others who are working hard. We were desperate for the restroom after being stuck 2 hours on freeway, and we would have made a purchase and sat for a minute if permitted. We are not homeless, and clearly pulled up in our car visible to the drive-thru. Two others approached and he would not allow them in. I was bullied by the manager and a young kid, I ordered food that was wrong, that's okay because these things happen, however, how it was addressed was not. The kid said "sounds like a personal problem, don't care that your orders wrong now leave" so since he wouldn't replace my food that wasn't even touched I asked for a refund, he said no, of course. Then the manager walks up and takes my food and I'm thinking she was going to issue me a refund but she closed the drive thru window on me and told me to leave the window. It's alright. It was pouring outside so I didn't want to venture too far to get breakfast. Fortunately, I was staying at the Courtyard in the Lloyd Center area so there are numerous eateries nearby. In fact, the hotel is within a block of the three major fast food burger chains, McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's. And those three just happen to be located within one block of each other. I decided to go to McDonald's since I am the most familiar with their breakfast menu. This location is next to the bus stop for the Trimet route 6 bus and just across the street from the Portland Streetcar CL line. Thus making it a convenient place to grab a quick bite to eat. This is one of the old style McDonald's restaurants, not one of those spruced up new style McCafe locations. The area is for the most part safe, but there are certainly some strange characters that you see in the vicinity of here. Grabbed a few old time favorites here including the sausage McMuffin ($1), a hash brown ($1) and breakfast burrito ($1.49). While the service was prompt and I was able to get in and out of here quickly. The food was predictably so-so, but edible. The McMuffin and hash brown were perfectly fine. But the breakfast burrito was quite the tiny portion. For some reason, I remember these being bigger and a bit more appetizing. While I like the convenience and location of this McDonald's, I would say that there are better eateries in the Lloyd Center to get food. Given my predicament, this was a perfectly acceptable choice. But I would have not ventured here otherwise. read more

This is a homeless haven. Avoid if you like eating in peace. I was like, " haven't had that in a while". So I walked to this "food source" on my lunch break. The food was what you'd expect, nothing special. It was the loitering from non paying customers I took note of. Seeking hand outs and talking to paying customers until they shared food was bizarre. I'm used to this kind of scene being from inner Portland but, I was surprised the manager tolerated this during a lunch rush with seats being in high demand. Camped out staring at people eating, interacting with people who hadn't the slightest interest. I threw away 1/3 of my "food" just to get out of there. I get it if things are down or whatever but the lack of disrespect this place has. I really wanted fries so I came back 30 minutes later with cash. We went to the drive through and I ended up ordering these things also :X and eventually upgrading the fries to a large order instead of a small! McDeez is what it is. This godforsaken heat triggers the worst impulses. Through the 8 AM sweat streaking into my eyes and my typical early morning haze, I really *really* thought that a McCafe iced coffee would make the godforsaken heat more bearable. Cheap, too, not to mention the possiblity of handheld hasbrowns. I was even willing to brave the awful 12th/Sandy intersection to get there. If that's not deranged dedication, I don't know what is. When I finally got to the drive-through lane and discovered that the inexpensive beverage of my fantasy would set me back nearly the same as a trip to any of the dozens of Starbucks I passed along the way, I blamed the godforsaken heat. This place seems to put its newest employees on the cash register, then abandons them to figure it out. I can't count the number of times I've been stuck in line while the person running the POS has to search for common items, or wait for someone to come from the back to give them a hand. This is a high traffic store in a bum corridor. I get that you probably burn through counter help. But you're doing nobody any favors by dumping rookies up here. First day of school for my little one. September 4th. Decided to get a nice MCD breakfast to surprise him. NOT SO NICE... The woman was very rude, blonde haired women who was wearing either a assistant manager or manager blue shirt. I asked if it was busy to empathize with some of the pressure of the morning. Again, was very rude. At this point it was time to ask her for her name. She then replied she doesn't give her name out and she will not give it to me and asked why I needed it. I believe managers can not 'not' give their names. I then replied that was OK and I'll be back later to file a complaint and she literally laughed out loud and carried on... Very rude.. I will make another decision when it comes to breakfast... There are plenty of other options literally on the blocks next door... Burger king across the street... Wendy's a corner away and a taco bell that is being remodeled 2 blocks away. Not to mention chipotle and other restaurants within a mere 3 block radius. I have been to this McDonald's many time before but for the sake of my children and for my morning joy before a busy day at work - this location is no longer an option.
