Waited in the drive-through for 15 minutes while no one moved change our order to pick up inside and went inside and they said they didn't have our order after two minutes of fumbling around. We ordered sauce on the kiosk and once we received our order there was only 1 sauce (we ordered 6) so we approached the register and requested the sauces we payed for. The woman working the register Sheryl whom I assume is the manager, decided to scream at us when we asked for the sauces we ORDERED. The food here is hit and miss. I've never been inside as all summer the lobby has been locked when I've visited. The employees are pleasant but if there is more than a couple vehicles in the drive thru your going to be there for awhile as it moves slowly no matter which time of day. I've stopped here for a quick dinner while heading to our camper later in the evening. Sometimes the food is what you'd expect from a McDonald's, other times some of the items are super salty. It seems that if you go after 9pm and order a quarter pounder they just dump a lot of salt on it because they have to make it fresh. We first went in April when we were setting up our camper for the season later in the afternoon and just wanted "something" to eat. That was a good experience. A few visits after were also on par. The last two times were later in the evening in August and September and we will never be back. Also, there is no traffic light to get you back out on the road if you want to turn left. If you visit during the height of tourist season just turn right and find somewhere to turn around because trying to turn left is likely to end with you in a car crash. read more

I've gone to this McDonald's for over 25 years. It was always a great stop for its easy on/off interstate 81. The service varies, and ordering inside seems to always be better than the drive-thru. The kids play place was great fun, and a good time for exercise on long trips. Sadly, on my most recent trip I found the play place to be permanently closed. Whaaaaaaat?! I usually hit up this McDonald's while traveling on interstate 81. It's very convenient with easy on and off access. They've recently made improvements to the drive thru area which are very nice. The food is typical McDonald's. The staff has always been very friendly. I was a bit disappointed in my oatmeal this morning, as it was quite watery. A slightly more post-adolescent girl with purple, pink, and yellow hair comes over. I say "we've been waiting at the stop sign for our food for quite awhile now and we're in a hurry." She points to the girl behind her with bags of food and says "Is that your order?" I get the receipt and confirm that yes, this is our food about to come out to us. Miss Manager lets me know that it was my ONE DOLLAR chicken sandwich that I DIDN'T really want had held up the order. Fine. I leave with the food. At least it's hot. The kids are eating it. I bite into my sandwich. Huh. Two bites later, I'm done. Don't really want the black-pepper-chicken-special. Can't taste the chicken, so why bother? The next morning, I almost puked. We stopped on our way up I-81. This is the slowest fast food experience I've ever had. We sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes. We sat in front of the speaker for an extra 5 minutes on top of that. I stopped in on my drive threw PA and forgot my wallet in the bathroom. 2 hours later call and the staff had already found it and put it in the safe for me.
