On 3/14/26 I stopped at the McDonalds in Palos Heights on 127th st. I was driving with my three grandchildren and decided to treat them to happy meals. The service was very good and staff pleasant and the happy meals were good as usual. I had ordered the new limited Arch burger. It was absolutely nasty. The two meat patties seemed to be somewhat uncooked. The special sauce did not taste like the usual Big Mac sauce. After a few bites I threw that sandwich away cause I didn't want the risk of getting sick. That particular McDonald restaurant is off my list to visit. read more

Three disappointing experiences. First one was a mobile order- ordered apple pies and was told it would be 20 minutes. Couldn't get a refund so got cookies with a 5 minute wait. Second one dined in. Went to the rest room and some one had taken a dump in the urinal. There was a mop and bucket in front of it, like someone had tried then just quit. Third mobile order - picked up in drive thru. Tonight I ordered two cones and two ice creams in a cup instead, I needed gluten free (no cone). Pulled up to the window to be given two tiny cones and two cones smashed in to cups. I explained I just asked for ice cream in the cup, meaning no cone. Because the kids can't eat the cone. The manager told me I had to pay sundae pricing to get a cup of ice cream. I explained I didn't want a sundae, just put the ice cream directly into the cup. She told me should only put it in to the CONE then smash it upside down into a cup. Explain this logic to me? I ordered some food for my kids and had a few special requests. I ordered a cheeseburger with just ketchup for my son and nope...I got it with mustard and onions. My daughter wanted chicken nuggets and when asked what type of sauce I said BBQ and asked for an extra BBQ sauce. I got home and noticed they didn't give me ANY sauce at all. Terrible!! Granddaughter and I stopped here for lunch. I have used the drive through before, but this was my first inside visit. I was pleasantly surprised! They have self service kiosks that instructed us to order at the counter. Our orders were promptly taken, and delivered to our table in a very short period of time. A very helpful and friendly staff person assisted us after a soft drink spill. There was a fellow cleaning up and sweeping under tables, and I must admit that it was very clean in there-including the rest room! The experience exceeded my expectations! read more

I gave it 1 star for my food which was fine. BUT I was the only one in the drive thru and waited at the 1st window to pay. Someone was there but never opened the window. I pulled up to the 2nd window only to be met by an employee with an attitude "you were supposed to pay at the 1st window" me: "no one was opening the window". Her: "well maybe they stepped away". Worst McDonald's I've had the displeasure of visiting. Waited roughly 7 minutes for a 10 piece chicken nugget, 2 Big Macs, and 3 large fries. The fries were lukewarm and soggy at best so we requested new fries. Both Big Macs were assembled incorrectly (bun, bun, burger, burger, condiments, bun) so those were sent back as well. The manager gave us a coupon for a free Big Mac at that particular store, but I fear the coupon won't be utilized as we won't be returning. The store was disgusting and I will post pictures as proof. Though the store was certainly not busy (for obvious reasons), tables were sticky and littered with trash. The ketchup dispenser had hair stuck on it and the women's bathroom had no toilet paper and a broken hand drier. The soda dispenser was out of Coke Zero, and instead of replacing the syrup, they put an out of order sign on the machine. Finally, the ice cream machine was broken, so nobody could order ice cream. We plan on calling the Palos Health Department on Monday to report this place. read more

It's a shame the quality of this McDonald's is so poor. My parents warned me of the disappointing service, but I needed to see for myself. My five out of five experiences the food was either cold or the order was incomplete. In fact, I've not had a hot meal there yet. I guess I've finally learned my lesson. This mcedee's is the one by my house, so in a rush I always stop there. The food is usually cold and the service is horrible. I recently got such a bad meal that I had to write a review. In response I got a call from the new store supervisor who promised me that they would clean up their act and improve the food and service. After several visits after, the place is the same, food is cold and the service is super slow. My advice to you is try the mcedee's on 13600 and Cicero, Crestwood. There was only a handful of times I actually got a fresh meal that was made correctly when I went here. They need to get better management at this location.
