I'm recommended this McDonald's to anybody that ever had a bad experience with MacDonald because Orting has always done it right. Until last night.. I don't know what happened was it because it was 830 and we were gonna be closing soon? All I know is we ordered two different sandwiches that were so sloppily put together. Every time we order from here wether it be mobile order or drive thru, they get the food wrong. Every single time. Or the drink machine has no syrup therefore no flavor in the drinks. Always very clean. Food is.... Well. It's McDonalds. What do you want? I try to avoid stopping at school dismissal times. The Orting McDonald's is the WORST. The food is often cold & inconsistent in quality. The service is rude and unprofessional from both the teens and the adults. Unfortunately its the only fast food option in town. Today I ordered 2 hot fudge sundae's, 2 medium French fries, & ice cream cone. I was handed a tiny cone & 2 hot fudge sundae's, then told to pull forward to wait for medium fries. I handed the sundaes back to the person. Asked for fresh sundaes with my hot fries as they would melt while I waited. (The sundae's were for my family at home) when I received the food, the fries were filled half full and the original sundae were given to me - melted. We just went through the drive-thru at the Orting McDonalds, We were there just minutes after breakfast was over on 12/24/25. we ordered three meals two were Deluxe McChicken and one Big Mac meal, the buns were dry and old, especially the Big Mac, which tasted like it was cooked the day before and reheated. The fries were cold and the oil tasted stale. The only acceptable thing was the drinks; this is not the first time we've experienced unfresh food at this location. Been coming here since 2015. It's 3 miles from my home. I rarely go here to eat or in fact to any McDonald's. I have been eating healthy and watching what I eat. This location is always cheerful and a pleasure to eat in or drive thru. They provide excellent customer service. read more

I've decided to start Yelping the fast food places here and there that I stop at - they are, after all, independent franchises and I'm sure the owners would like to know how they're doing as much as any other business. This is a NICE McDonalds! The building matches the older style of the Orting area... doesn't look like most McDonalds. Inside is bright, clean, and nicely done - right down to the fancy Northwest themed ceiling lights. The staff were all happy, smiling, productive and very efficient. Again, not the typical "Fast Food Apathy" in a lot of such restaurants. The food of course was exactly as expected - not much to add. I've eaten in McDonalds from NY to Taiwan - a Big Mac is pretty much a Big Mac. Do NOT go to this McDonald's. A teenage girl (employee) cut off a potential customer; and they began exchanging words in front of a crowed parking lot. The girl did say "I'm sorry;" but followed by verbal exchange because the customer called her a nasty name (who became hostile, and got out of his truck). Instead of the employee getting to safety, informing her manager, the lot became blocked, and Hostile. A man got out, addressing his credentials & making it clear that he does not have jurisdiction, and told both to move on (the employee to go inside, and the customer to proceed to the drive thru, or go away from the store). The customer left; and the employee, who was still panicking, brought out her manager (who also appeared near her age). The man who deescalted the situation asked the manager several times if they could go inside and speak in a private area; and the manager was totally disrespectful to him, and ignoring him. The employee, another woman, and the man said who he was; and that he prevented the employee from getting hurt; but the manager yelled, "I don't care who you are? What happened?". The man tried to inform the manager it would be a good idea to speak in a private section of the restaurant; but the manager continually was rude to the man. The manager seemed like he was trying to play hero and show off to the girl; and he seemed a little racist. The man left, after the manager went somewhere. Why was the manager so, rude? The worst customer service and management I've ever encountered!!! I paid with a $100 bill, when the wrong amount of change was returned to me I kindly let them know, the manager was very upset that I corrected them, after all it was owed more back... Precursor: Things have gotten better at this McDonald's since it was remodeled; however, they still aren't up to par, in my opinion. Been eating here since March 2013, as there aren't many options in Orting. The actual kids that are working are always super friendly and helpful, one of the two managers I've dealt with was great, the other left much to be desired in terms of how to talk to another living, breathing, human being. Three of us live in my home, so naturally, I typically order for three people. One of those orders always has something wrong, as in, you ask for no onions and there are loads, or you can tell that they just tried to scrape them off and missed some. I can't count how many times I've gotten home and found that my Dr. Pepper was out of carbonation. Or how many times we've gotten home to find that our Coke is actually a diet Coke. The food and fries are only ever of good quality when you go during a rush. If you go when they're slow, you get food that feels and tastes like it was made 20 minutes before you ordered it. Don't even get me started on that horrific drive-thru, either. Every night, the line of cars extends far beyond the tiny drive-thru entry and messes up the thru traffic in the parking lot. The ordering menu/microphone is so close to the entry that only two cars can get in there at a time, if a third tries, it will block thru traffic. Y'all need to stop using BOTH windows. This is the ONLY place I go that still uses both windows, one for payment, and one for food delivery (lol). I laugh at that because you almost never get your food from the window. Often, you have to pull forward and wait at the sidewalk for them to bring your food out. But of course, they gave you your ice cream at the window so that it can melt on you before you even get to smell your meal. read more

Unless I'm in town for something else i turn and head to sumner . But twice in the last few months I've went by later in the evening and food was hot service was great . McDonalds is McDonalds whether in Orting, Tacoma, or Bonney Lake; however this McDonalds has very nice and pleasant people who work there. The gripe I have with this establishment is one thing only. The drive thru ingress and egress makes it very difficult to use the drive thru efficiently; and while folks wait in line in the drive thru: the cars extend out into the general parking lot; and thus impedes all cars' ability to safely and smoothly travel. So just be very careful using or passing by the drive thru area! read more

If your craving a nice hot coffee this is the place coffees always steaming hot ...they also have good iced coffees and their frys are always fresh and perfect temp .the staff is very respectful and kind .they greet you when you first walk in their restaurant. They always greet you with a nice smile ... the owner is very police and curtious. Restrooms are well maintained by their staff .never had a messed up order from them . read more
