Updating my earlier review. I've gotten take out from this Wendy's a few times recently. I've been…read morerunning into two problems: food quality and customer service. Today, I got take out again. It may be the last time. My chicken sandwich was clearly old. The bun was hard. The chicken was dry and hard. I also got a large chili. It was only filled up about 60% of the way, and most of that was broth. The tab for my wife and me to get two chicken sandwich meals was $16. It seems a little much for the quality of food we got. As for customer service, the guy who took my money must be in some sort of management capacity because he wore a different shirt than the other employees. He took my money without saying one word to me. No greeting. No thank you. He just took my money and closed the window. The lady who handed me my food was friendly. She said hello and chatted while handing me my food. She was the bright spot of my visit. I hate saying anything bad about people who are trying hard to do a good job. But this Wendy's has some things that need to improve.

However, once inside, we were warmly greeted, and treated to some really excellent food! The ambiance is nothing fancy, but it doesn't need to be when the food is so solid. Especially recommend the moist, smoky pulled pork, but everything we had was delicious. Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, with a delicious rub that had caramelized on the outside. Briscuit was also very tender, but a bit salty for our taste. All the sides we tried were good - coleslaw, deviled eggs, macaroni salad, and fluffy enriched rolls. Wishing this new business lots of luck - hopefully once the locals get a taste of this food, they will be coming back for more & bringing their friends! We will definitely make the detour next time we're in the area!
