The waffle was good. It reminded me of a beer bread batter + a little sweet. It was a bit doughy like it wasn't cooked all the way. We still enjoyed it. The matcha mix they use is pre sweetened. I prefer my matcha with no sweeteners - only reason I highlight this. They had a local children's author in the cafe with her books which was nice. Such a cool way to incorporate community.

I got the same exact drink (pumpkin spice, decaf, no whip) and it was $3 less expensive and way sweeter without any pumpkin spice flavor itself. I can't even tell that's what I ordered honestly. If this is the coffee, I got my first time I would be very disappointed. So I know that there is potential here for a great cup of coffee, but I think it depends on your barista. Service was nice though.

I was utterly surprised with how limited their options are esp for syrups. I assumed that there would be cool twists or something to go with the whole record store vibes but the lack of syrup options made me question what to order. Service was great as well since I was indecisive on what to order. Please create fun drinks to emphasize the records or show case them. Would I be back? Probably not. I always have the 2 egg breakfast with the fruit salad. Their fruit salad is always fresh with an abundance of different fruit. Unlike other restaurants where you get a variety of unripened melons. Croissants have been hit or miss lately. Not sure what has changed, but not always fresh. The chicken salad used to be one of my favorite menu items but now has way too much mayonnaise. As for ambiance, the store desperately needs an update and a deep cleaning. I ate there twice in last two weeks and on both occasions the flies and gnats were abundant. Not a good thing in a food environment.
