I understand it is hard on businesses to staff a restaurant these days. However if you don't have the staff to keep the inside dining room open and sanitary then close it. I came here tonight to eat in the restaurant. Every table needed wiping off the floor was filthy the unsweetened tea container was uncovered the sweet tea was partially covered ketchup was a mess. Just filthy. I decided to eat my food in the car. I took my Big Mac out of the bag and obviously while it was being prepared the box was laying on grease. The outside of the box was disgusting. This is usually a great restaurant and I always have a good experience here. But tonight was not so great. I pulled ahead in the drive-through and received my order. Since the Covid freak show is going on, things are different. My order came with crunched up boxes of food. I did not receive any napkins with my order. This is not standard McDonald's quality. Consistently poor attitudes during visits. Unacceptable wait times. Inaccuracies, rudeness, and I even overheard expletives in the background while referring to me as a customer simply trying to get a refund for the sub par product I was served. I seldom complain or review fast food restaurants because I know the labor pool is generally young and just starting to learn how to participate in a work environment. However the treatment that sparked this review came directly from a manager. Actions have consequences, and I will be following this to the highest level possible to ensure that this particular manager is at very minimum made aware but her action in this instance is unacceptable. read more

Worst Restaurant Service Ever! BULLY. UNPROFESSIONAL. THIEVES. McDonalds, 40 Ruby Dr. Madisonville, KY 42431. I ordered 2 STEAK biscuits, but received 2 SAUSAGE biscuits. I took the order back and minutes later received 2 under-cooked steaks. My dining companion could tolerate one but I was sickened by the sight of the blood oozing from the meat. On my way back to the counter immediately after having seen the meat, I returned one untouched (not one bite eaten) biscuit and requested a refund for one of the two steak biscuits. I watched the male cashier put the entire sandwich in a trash container. He then refunded me only the cost, not the tax. However, it was not until I had returned to my seat that I noticed I had not been refunded the tax I paid. Approaching the counter, I saw two male cashiers who were standing there doing nothing but chatting. They speedily scattered away from me--one to the left and the other to the right. I waited for assistance. Finally a female came near and snarled, "yes?" I told her that I had been shorted the TAX for the one sandwich that I returned. She did not investigate to see if the refund had been processed correctly. She did not call the cashier who refunded the cost only but scampered away. She merely growled that whatever the machine said was correct. She did not inquire about a refund receipt, which I never received (because the cashier merely reached into the drawer and gave me the cost, but never actually processed a refund properly--which would have shown the tax amount). The female just kept insisting the cash register was right. For the next 3 or more minutes she argued with me saying I was not entitled to TAX on a purchase. Without any research, she even falsely accused me of having eaten most of the biscuit. She began shouting so loudly that my dining companion, who had begun to eat the only remaining biscuit, came to see what was happening. The female walked away and had to be called back to the counter. She finally slammed down a dime onto the counter snapping angrily, "Have a good day." I told her the amount was incorrect and continued to request the correct amount. I had already calculated the tax. Apparently that female did not have the necessary mathematical skills to do so. After more arguing, the female finally gave me the specifically requested amount, but not without more disgusting and unprofessional ATTITUDE. She slammed the remaining amount down on the counter and bitterly said the same thing as before "Have a good day" as she stormed away from the counter. I did not leave the restaurant immediately. As I reflected on the deplorable treatment I had just received, I sat watching a few workers gather at the counter staring at me and chatting. I heard the rude female boast of how many accolades she had received in the past for good work. I reported the tax refund refusal incident to the McDonald's complaint department. Still, I doubt if anything will be done about that extremely unprofessional female. Her behavior exhibited a lack of common sense as well as a gross deficit in business sense. She carried herself as a BULLY. She should be reprimanded and re-trained. read more

03-9-2023 8:30 pm I went to McDonald's on Ruby Dr and the absolute worst service you can only imagine , ordered our meals paid for them went to the next window the lady said Waitn on fries I said ok with a smile , finally got A order not ours but somebody else's I assume , took it back inside told the employee we got the wrong order she demanded the receipt so went to truck got receipt took it back in and there response was sorry but take it or leave it !!! I ordered a big Mac no onion got a plain big Mac .. a plain big Mac is 2 burger patties with 3 pieces of bread who in there right mind would order that ? And my other order was a 2A Combo it consisted of a chicken sandwich and a drink no where close to my order I placed and service was very rude and uncalled for ,. This appears to be a nice new restaurant but I'm really miffed that it takes 15 minutes to get a meal out which consisted of a cheeseburger egg muffin and a Southwest salad. They were slow to come to take the order a different super slow to make the meal. Not impressed at all. read more

The food was typical for a McDonald's, but left out a McDouble... Replacing it with a cheeseburger.

Although the food is normal McDonalds fare, the service is not. Me and my grandson decided to go inside so we did not have to deal with the drive-thru issue. (see my previous review) Well..... this was a big mistake. We went inside and apparently they were having A.C issues so the building was hot. On top of the issue, there was files flying around the restaurant,Then my grandson noticed a employee who was on the phone while making ice cream. I don't care if she is on the phone but not while she is handling food. Then a cashier comes over to take our order and apologizes for the wait. (who was the nicest person there, she should be manager!) I got a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese, and my grandson per usual ordered a Big Mac.We were at the counter a solid 13 minutes waiting for our food . Finally we had our number called and handed our food with no apology. (it was the same person as last time) Unless you want to share your food with the flies go to the other McDonald's on North Main Street instead. McDonald's, I'm still not Lovin it! UPDATE: I contacted the corporate website and they sent me an letter with an apology and a coupon for an extra value meal. We used it at the Main Street Mcdonald's. read more
