I am writing to formally report a deeply upsetting incident that occurred at your location involving an employee named Sandra. (She is a short, obese aging woman in her 50's or so) I came into the restaurant to purchase Happy Meal collectibles for my wife. While at the counter, I overheard Sandra instruct another employee not to sell the items to me, publicly labeling me a "reseller" in front of other staff and customers. I am not a reseller. I was literally buying two happy meals and have never been to this McDonald's in my life I am an autistic individual. Navigating everyday public and social interactions can already be uncomfortable and challenging for me. Going into a store to buy a toy shouldn't be an ordeal, but having to make that request, only to be openly insulted, falsely accused, and publicly humiliated by store leadership was extremely distressing. This behavior is completely unacceptable. As a result of how Sandra treated me, I am now hesitant to ever walk into another McDonald's location out of fear of being targeted and insulted simply for buying items for my family. I am requesting that this matter be escalated immediately to the Franchise Owner / Owner-Operator and the General Manager. Sandra's actions reflect poorly on your brand and demonstrate a severe lack of respect and basic customer service. I came in for a late lunch fri night the 21st, it was about 9pm and they were pretty busy both inside and drive thru. I was greeted right away by a woman who was cleaning and sweeping the lobby. The staff in the kitchen were all moving with purpose and I just have to say I have not been into a McDonald's as well run as I saw this night. Everyone was polite in spite of how busy they were, moving with purpose running bags out to the customers at the drive thru. Unfortunately, when they started drinking their chocolate milk, it tasted very sour, even though the expiration date says September 30, 2025. We usually never order fast food but decided to eat McDonald's for a quick dinner. We ordered a Big Mac Meal and a Double Quarter Poiunder with cheese. The Big Mac bun was stale and dried out. The Quarter Pounder meat was all dried out as was the cheese on it like it had been sitting for hours. It was gross. The fries were the only edible thing in the bag. Once in a while I like to treat my youngest son to McDonald's. They've been pushing the "$5" deal meal. It's a McChicken or McDouble fries, 4 piece nuggets and a drink for 5 bucks. A lot of the fast food places are doing it since they've doubled everything in price since the new wage increase. What they don't tell you are "up charges". And at this particular McDonald's they charge a dollar extra for the McDouble $5 meal deal that's advertised. Now in hindsight it's not that expensive. But they are literally charging customers more for nothing. It's false advertising and up charging for nothing. It's not tax. That's already included. When I asked about it the guy (who was very nice) said that it's up to each McDonald's to do this. I said that's a shady way of doing business. Charging extra for nothing. Just for the sake of snaking in more money. They aren't following what's advertised. I attached a picture of my receipt to see. Pulled up to this McDonald's around 2:50am--it's listed as 24 hours, but clearly the staff didn't get the memo. As soon as we got to the speaker, the woman taking our order (her name was Samantha) sounded completely uninterested. She was literally sighing into the mic while we were ordering, with zero professionalism--no greeting, no thank you, just attitude. We weren't rude at all, but when we got to the window, Samantha looked visibly irritated and bored. She handed us our food, and as I was checking the bag, I noticed we were missing an item. I politely let her know, and she first said it should be in there, then claimed she never put it in the order. At this point it's 3:02am--and she suddenly tells us they're closed and literally locks the drive-thru window in our face mid-conversation. I knocked on the window because that was extremely rude, especially since I never even got a receipt and had no idea if I was charged for the missing item. A red-haired woman came to the window instead (who was at least somewhat more polite) and tried to de-escalate. I wasn't being disrespectful--I just wanted my receipt. She eventually handed it over, then locked the window as well. This was genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.
