Made the mistake of not double checking the location on the McDonald's app. I usually go to the Broadway one. Tonight, I got to take home cold fries and uncooked hamburger meat. This McDonald's is as good as it was 10 years ago. This McDonald's is consistent at serving poor quality food. Was pretty excited about McRib coming back. Always a mistake ordering in drive thru then didn't check order. But really should a person have to open every item and check to make sure it's correct? Maybe if people would start doing that and hold up the drive thru longer they will do better. Anyway, get home take me a big bite and we'll look at pictures. This is concerning the McDonalds at 5055 N. Broadway, Knoxville, Store #11600. We went thru the drive-thru, when we got home, we discovered our order was missing a sandwich. When I called the number, after a couple of rings, it went to fax line. Tried again, same thing. Tried for 3 days, same thing. This morning, I went thru the drive-thru for breakfast and asked for the manager. I just wanted to let them know about their phone going to a fax line. I saw thru the window that she was not happy to have to speak to a customer, I heard her say,"I don't want to talk to anyone" She came with a very annoyed look on her face. When I explained what happened, she shrugged her shoulders and told me I called the wrong number, I told her it was the number on the ticket. She again tried to say that the addresses and phone numbers get switched. When I told her I had been trying for 3 days, she again shrugged her shoulders and said there was nothing she could do about it. I then asked her, if there was an issue with an order, then how do we get in touch with them. She again shrugged her shoulders, and said there was nothing she could do about it and that you just have to keep trying the number posted. When I was repeating this information back, about the phone setup, she just walked away. So while the staff are pretty good and the food is decent, their day manager leaves a lot to be desired and needs a refresher course on customer service. I do plan to contact the regional office about both issues...phones set up just for faxing and the attitude and behavior of this particular manager. The only thing I expected was a type of apology for the inconvenience, not all the gaslighting. read more

I came to the inside order and I had to wait 8minutes until someone came and took my order. A worker had walked by on her phone to and from the bathroom 4 times, and I was going to ask if someone would take my order. She told me "I'm not working" even though she had her work clothes in and was going back to the kitchen. I asked if she would say something to a worker and she completely ignored me. I had to wait another 5 minutes. The workers were very rude and careless. I do NOT recommend this place. During my wait time I saw the kitchen floor with trash and fries all over it. It sucks that it's the only McDonald's close by. I don't want to drive 20 minutes to another one. Idk about 1st and 2nd shift but 3rd shift is awful. The employees stand outside. The other night I waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes and I was the only customer. They have not been filling my fries up as far as they are supposed to. I paid for a large but really I was served a medium in a large fry container. The food is hardly ever fresh. When I ask them to make me fresh food they say they just ran out. The store looks dirty and some of the employees are rude. Service here is terrible and the food is just getting worse and worse each time I go. Didn't include any napkins in my drive-through order. Food was about average McDonald's quality, maybe a bit lower. 3 workers were 2 steps outside the door smoking which isn't great. People smoke of course, but they could at least do it away from the doors and it isn't a stretch to assume they don't all go back in and line up to wash their hands. read more

I have eaten at a lot of divey establishments but I couldn't even eat here. We went in and after we ordered proceeded to the soda dispenser. There was chewed gum and lemons in the catch tray and gnats everywhere. They were swarming (the empty) ketchup dispensers. I spoke to the manager who sent an employee to clean it. Meanwhile we were waiting for our food we noticed flies everywhere up front from the drive thru window which was left sitting open. They then went to serve old/cold fries that had been sitting. We requested fresh fries which we were given. We were hungry so figured we would try to eat until a gnat flew out of my sandwich wrapper when I opened it. At that point we got a refund and left. This location of McDs has gotten increasingly worse at food quality and order accuracy. I've had my last try at it. I worked at this location years ago. Now that the food is assembled on the as you go basis, it is neither hot or on target. Most of the sandwich I got was outside the bun. It was cold thru and thru. The fries were stiff and old but warm. They hey had only been serving lunch for 15 minutes. I drove back around and asked for a replacement on the fries. Didnt know how cold the quarter cheese was then. Anyway, they parked me to wait on fresh fries which I didnt mind to get fresh ones. In a few minutes a nice young man brought a bag of hot fries. However, they were white and barely cooked. I gave up and left since I was out of time after all that. Sad that we cant enjoy our neighborhood McDs. This has been typical for the past several years.
