There's only a few spots to park out front, but South Pittsburg is a small town so we don't have any troubles. There are some cute murals/illustrations drawn on the windows of the shop. The inside is modern and clean though, if I'm being super picky, feels a little empty/disconnected in parts. But the A/C was blasting and everything was in order. The menu is a little hard to see imo but the barista was friendly and so I talked with her instead. I asked what her favorite was between two specialty lattes (her answer: the "Bestie," which is a cinnamon roll and white chocolate latte) so that's what I ordered. I got it in the smaller size and iced and she made it for me quickly. Unfortunately, I wound up really not liking this drink. It had a very strong artificial flavor, I suspect from the white chocolate syrup. I have been getting unlucky lately with the syrups places use for white chocolate - I need to remember to stay away from that until I establish it as a shop I really like. The coffee was also on the acrid side, and there wasn't enough ice in the drink. I'm sad to have come away less than pleased, but I certainly might've enjoyed a different drink more. The friendly service and clean space was appreciated.

This Starbucks is located inside of Food City on Main Street about 3/4 a mile off of 24 in Kimball,…read moreTN and for the most part is your standard kiosk style Starbucks location. The Kimball exit offers a good variety of quick eats, drinks and fill ups when cruising up and down 24. I usually stop off and hit a drive thru, and was hopeful to do that here, but sadly no drive thru...just counter service inside of a grocery store. As with most Starbucks located inside of stores, their offerings and inventory are a bit limited more times than not. For my pop in, I was after a cold brew with mocha and almond milk. Sadly, while they had the tap, they did not have cold brew. They did have a pitcher of iced coffee, so I settled for that. Again, no mocha, but luckily did have almond milk. To combat the lack of items, luckily I was in a grocery store so I hit the coffee aisle to pick up a mocha beverage to add to my iced coffee. I had to get it just right before getting back on the highway. Service was friendly, but they were a bit frantic, even with only two of us in line. Overall, good to know this location exists, but I doubt I'll drive so far down Main Street to stop by this Starbucks again.

I keep a running collection of places to try in Chattanooga on my usually-annual trips to the area…read more I added Alessandro's maybe a year or two ago, assuming I could stop along the way in the future. Instead, I came up with my parents to visit the cast iron museum and realized that this place was right around the corner - so I had to visit! This little shop is tucked in the downtown area of South Pittsburg. Much of the inventory is on display as you enter. It's impressive the variety of product the owner has managed to offer in a relatively limited space. This is a legit Italian bakery. The owner was in the shop and made small talk with us about where he learned to bake, how important his family recipes were to him, and about all the care and consideration that goes into each product. He also very generously shared a sample of both a fig spread and a sort of savory feta dip. The feta dip was good but the fig spread was great -- subtly sweet with a very satisfying dense and sticky texture. My parents and I both ordered an Italian cream cake from the cold case. We worried about it on the drive home given the temperature, but the owner said it would be fine and even recommended we take our slices out of the fridge to warm up for 15-20 minutes before eating it. Both recommendations were totally true; our cakes kept well for a few days and were definitely improved by warming slightly (so the icing would be a bit more malleable and smooth). The cakes were absolutely delicious -- not too sweet, a fantastic crumb, and full of nice almond flavor. I also got some chocolate chip biscotti and an Italian thumbprint biscotti with some fig spread on top. The chocolate chip biscotti was my least favorite item, though it was still tasty - it hedged a little on the too-dry side for me, even as far as biscotti goes. Still, I wouldn't object if someone offered me one to eat for free, lol. The almond thumbprint biscotti was completely delightful from start to finish. The chopped nuts inside the cookie added a great crunch, and the delightful fig spread on top added needed moisture and softness and an explosion of fruity flavor. Would highly recommend stopping by to try this bakery if you're ever in the area - heck, it's worth a special trip, if you love pastries like I do :)

The beef was clearly ground in house and was a wonderful coarse grind. excellent. With the buns charred on the grill, it made an excellent light lunch without any sides needed. Added bonus for house brewed beer. Found the kolsch a tasty lunch treat. Warmish inside, and hot outside, sadly the views that day were shrouded in haze. Don't know when we'd ever be back in the area, but if we were, I'd not hesitate to suggest a repeat stop.

The space was well kept and clean. I normally do not do Dunkin', but given the limited options in the area, I figured "why not"...and was quickly reminded. I went with a cold brew with added SF vanilla and almond milk. Sadly the only SF option they had was vanilla, not my favorite, but I wanted something beyond just the cold brew. I wish now I would have left it plain. It was awful and the SF syrup was beyond artificial in taste. Legit ruined the coffee. Luckily I still had a need to fill up on gas, so when I popped across the street, I scooped up a bottled coffee drink and mixed it in to the cold brew. Turned out tasty, but that $6 cold brew turned in to $10 real quick. Outside of the coffee being meh, the service was equally meh. When I initially walked up to the counter, the gentleman started taking my order. I asked what SF options they had and he legit walked away from the register mid conversation. Shortly after another associate came to finish my order. Was a very weird experience. Legit no notice, just walked away. Overall, not the best representation of Dunkin'. My partner had the Jack Benny, their version of eggs hollandaise but with a nice slice of ham. I also got their biscuit, which others had recommended to me. Huge biscuits are the rage but not really my fav. This one was crumbly but well baked. The blueberry jam gave it a high yummy rating. True, nobody really enjoys the process. But it doesn't exactly make it any better when the gas station essentially holds you hostage -- blasting a message at full volume just as the gas starts to flow letting you know that they have hotdogs and hot coffee inside. Stand up for freedom: The freedom to be left alone by corporations trying to sell you stuff for those few remaining moments of life that they haven't yet infiltrated. What's next?
