Convenient, more parking than I'd have expected, no issues!

Apparently this franchise can't afford to keep its dining area open and (at least when we showed up around 7:30 AM) was drive-through only. It was hard to ascertain this because the girl I could see through the window couldn't be bothered to come to the door and explain the policy. Not good. Oh, and the food was cold. Reviewed positively before. Not so much this time.

Appearing to be one of the older McDonald's in the area, this one has spectacular views of the Pacific if you dine in the parking lot. The food has some Island favorites, such as Saimin or Portuguese sausage with rice and eggs. I really have not had this type of food for over 20 years, and appreciated the taste of this breakfast favorite, which reminds me of the Hawaiian spirit. The building is old, but the food is good and worthy for a quick bite in the morning. Although I've not been to all the McDonald's, this one certainly has the best views, considering the location...

Stopped by this McDonald's location on our way to the volcano national park. IT IS OPEN and renovated! The location is perfect. The restaurant is on the smaller side but it seems newly renovated. They even had FRESH flower arrangements! The staff were very nice and accommodating.

I order a Chicken Sand. meal Large the girls taking the order had attitude to begging with when I got my food it was awful my Large fries was half way i ask for extra tomato and just got a small piece of one the chicken was tiny and burn had to wait about 20 minutes for the food no napkins I will never eat here again Pretty disappointed No McDonalds for me aleast from this location

Nasty Sprite

This place is disgusting and needs to be shut down. Not only do they have their buns OUTSIDE for long periods of time and their food storage wide open to the sidewalk and all the bugs Hawaii comes with, but this is the color of their Sprite. In a kid's drink, nonetheless. I don't even want to know what's causing it to be this color, but I'm glad I spotted it before my kid drank any.

So much for "fast food". Very slow service. 10 minutes and still waiting for my order of cheeseburgers and fries.

We had this on the list of a must do in Hawaii. We caught the last tout of the day. When you…read morearrive, you meet at the outdoor coffee shop where we were greeted and welcomed. If this area is also where you can sample the different blends. When the tour started we gathered outside and there were quite a large number of people. We have one guide and she was very nice a knowledgable about the farm and the coffee making process. She spoke about the family, how it was started, the amount of different types of trees that is grown: mango, lychee, papaya, avocado, and bananas. They even have black peppercorn which we were able to sample and how it tastes different. Their roasting process was well explained. Bottom line, to be deemed Kona Coffee - it needs to be grown on Kona soil. It is too bad we couldn't get close to the coffee trees cause the bride was damaged due the bad flooding that occurred early in the year. The campus is beautiful and of course we bought some coffee. When we return to Hawaii, I would like to go back here if the bridge is repaired.

Caught the last tour of the day on 9/2/26. Even after having run through several tours, our tour…read moreguide was a delight. She engaged with a multi-national (and multi-generational, and multi-linguistic) group with energy and humor and we had a blast listening to her. I learned quite a bit! I admit that sampling hot coffee on a 90-degree day under direct sun was perhaps not ideal, but I'd never had a chance to try peaberry coffee and I'm glad I did. The tours run every half hour and take about 45 minutes or so. They travel down, and then up, a modest incline. Since the farm is on the west of the island, tours later in the day will experience more direct sun. It was very hot and very humid, but there are shady stops in the first part of the tour. Sunscreen, a hat, breathable clothing, and plenty of water will see you through it. I might consider going back once they've repaired the bridge washed out by the March 2026 floods. The coffee itself is pricey, as you might expect, but it's the real deal.

After looking over the menu we ordered the following: Vanilla Latte Macadamia Nut Latte Our tour guide Kenzie stsrted our tour at the whale watcjing area, and then took us over to the cherry trees around the corner. After that we watched a short video about the history of Kona Joe and Kona Coffee, and then made our way through the facility. To see the machinery used Kona Joe personally uses to sort beans based on their different sorting processes and bean types. After walking through the facility, Kentucky then took us into the roasting area so that my partner and I could roast our own personal bags of Kona coffee. I ultimately chose to make a light roast to take home, and she chose to make a medium roast. And then heat sealed our bags to maintain their freshness. After the roasting part was done we finished our coffee plantation tour in the souvenir shop. Overall: Great tour and experience. Kenzie was a great guide and was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend checking out Kona Joe's Coffee!
