This the worst establishment in the state of tn i have never eaten at a McDonald's restaurant that was so bad at everything I came in on 4-8-26 and it was 8:00 pm tried to dine in and they were already closed inside so I went through the drive thru and it took 30 minutes to get my food then I got it and got home 5 minutes drive from the restaurant and my big mack was just like it came out of the refrigerator and my fries were not in the bag so I came back to the store because they don't have a working land line phone and they told me they were happy to copen my meal so I came back to the restaurant April 12th 26 and the manager called me a lier that she did not do cope meals and there was no way I talked anyone they don't comp meals you could not pay me to ever return to this location they need to be shut down read more

Came through the drive thru women was catching an attitude and acting unprofessional when we verified something off our order... we proceed to the window somehow she charges 10 in cash for some reason and the rest on card proceeds to ask us to pay the $10 regardless if we have it or not it wasn't the way we wanted to be charged. Then another employee comes up and in an unprofessional way asks us for the money and we said we don't have it we wanted it charged on the card shuts the window and I'm assuming a manger comes and rudely asks for the receipt to "refund" and re ring it up and struggles to do that so asks us for cash. It was not our fault and we felt treated like we were a problem when clearly they are not trained correctly to complete a simple task on a register... read more

I don't think most of us expect an exceptional experience at fast food restaurants, but basic common courtesy and respect are expected. This McDonald's appears to have gone out of its way to hire the most rude and snarky staff possible. It's almost like they require you to have been fired from another restaurant for poor customer service to work there. Even among the worst McDonald's this one stands out as fast food royalty in garbage service and insulting your customers. Normally family owned means better service, but in this case it means an epic failure in leadership to a degree rarely seen in business. I went to this McDonald's 11/30 at 7:28pm, ordered $28 worth of food. I ordered the #3 large with a sweet tea to drink, 2 filet o fish sandwiches and 2 apple pies. I get home to realize I had all my food except for the fries for my combo. I am not sure why the fries were forgotten when it clearly shows on the ticket I will post that the order includes 1 lrg fry. I was looking forward to the fries and now I do not have them. I did not go back and should not have to for something so simple. I do not need a sorry just do better. Funny enough the sticker says "double checked for accuracy". Clearly not true. read more

I appreciate that a worker opened the door for me when I was having a personal emergency and was provided assistance. No one acknowledged us at all when we entered, as stood at register to order. Finally did order at a self-service kiosk. Floors have not been swept or mopped in some time. There were "caution wet floor" cones up but the floors were sticky and visible food and trash on the floors. Women's bathroom hasn't been swept. TP on floor and backs of seat. Some type of liquid on floor around toilet bowl on the floor? It was gross so I went to another stall that at least didn't have fluid in the floor by the bowl. The men's restroom has a sewer leak or something. The smell is awful, like a sewage leak? All three of the hand sanitizers in the lobby/order area are empty. A man in a bow tie brought food to us and he was friendly. One other customer groups arrived while we were here and I observed same experience for her. Food was fine. We tried not to think about the cleanliness of the food prep area we could not see given what was visible:( Fortunately, this was only a stop to grab early dinner on a road trip. read more

This place is a joke. I understand that being understaffed can reek havoc on a business but you should at the very least be nice about not having 50% of the things on a typical McDonald's menu. Don't go to this McDonalds. Waited over 45 minutes behind maybe 7 cars. Thought it would be one person busting their butt in the back but it was at least 3 people moving at a very slow pace with no regard for anyones time. Our food was ready when we got to the window but we still sat there for 5 minutes while they made 2 fountain drinks and 2 coffees. Very disrespectful of everyone's time. Today my wife visited this McDonald's and on the receipt she noticed an extra Diet Coke that she had not ordered, she didn't get upset or anything she simply pointed out the mistake to the manager who was attending the window and instead of asking for anything back just wanted it changed to sprite, this prompted the manager and another manager behind the other to accuse my wife of lying, trying to get a refund and berating my wife over a $2 beverage. She ordered $55 worth of food and they were yelling at her over a simple drink. Neither of the managers had on name tags so I can only describe them, one was a white female with long blonde hair and the other a black female with short fluffy hair. My wife did not deserve your awful service and McDonald's should be ashamed to call these management. read more

Wow...this restaurant gets some crappy reviews! Let me commence by saying I like McDonalds on occasion. I go to Maccas every month and I usually enjoy it. Mostly it is in South Florida, sometimes in Nashville, and also in foreign countries. So, hungry and in a hurry, I went to this particular little bistro in Joelton. My first impression was formed by one of the staff who came in through a side door only to let out a lungful of cigarette smoke, presumably, following a smoke break. Let me jump ahead thirty minutes, and I have now formed the opinion that everyone on staff smokes, as there was a musical chairs style of arrangement going on with the gasper-squad spending more time outside than in. A young girl who was a part of this came in and went directly to the counter to resume serving. Now, hand to mouth pursuits, when performed in a restaurant, need to be followed by the washing of ones hands...It didn't happen. So...to the fyude! I ordered a Big Mac, fries and a Coke. It came out fairly quickly, and I think the reason for this was, that it had been pre-prepared. The burger was on the cool side of warmish, the fries were limp and were a similar temperature, but, the Coke...well, that was was fine. Yay!! This is all damned disappointing. I judge all burger joints that I review, according to the McDonalds Yummy Meter. When a franchise screws it up, it skews the figures on my meter. Let me re-affirm my belief in this chain. it is my opinion that there are many, many more good Maccas restaurants, than there are bad. So it all needs to be fixed up...someone needs a good hard boot in the nuts (and I'm not talking cashews). I think Mr Mac needs to catch up with this establishment and give the owner a serious yakking to, along with a re-education campaign, to teach the local operators and staff about (1) cleanliness, (2) hygiene, (3) service, (4) quality of product and (5) the proud history of this genuine American flagship company. Not fast at all! From ordering to receiving our food took 17 minutes. In the drive thru. Then the French fries were old and no salt. The nuggets were fresh. Who writes Yelp reviews of McDonald's? A customer who always has a uniquely bad experience at the same place. That's who. The McDonalds at Exit 35 (Springfield/Joelton) on I-24 is the dirtiest McDonald's I have ever experienced. And it has been that way on a regular basis for some time. The toilets and sinks in the bathroom look dirty, not only from wear and neglect, but really not being cleaned either. At the drink fountain and condiment bar, the dispensers for the napkins have an icky accumulation in the cracks, and what looks like food drippings that has not been cleaned in weeks. On my last visit, there was no top on the sweet tea dispenser, allowing anything in the air (dust, customer's sneezes) to settle there. Thankfully, I don't drink sweet tea. The whole drink fountain showed evidence of not being regularly cleaned, nor did any of the tables. On top of that, the counter person, who did not appear to be new or inexperienced, left two items off my order and prepared my eat-in order to go. Look, no one expects French service at McDonald's. What every customer can and should expect from McDonald's, however, is a consistent, clean environment, serving cheap and decent food, with consistent, accurate service that is up to the standards for which the company is known. This location clearly does not hit any of those marks. All that said, let me make a general comment on McDonald's: I am OK with McDonald's. I'm a field agent, on the road every day, and they are a frequent landing point for me because they always have reliably available Wi-Fi, a certain standard of cleanliness, and some (SOME) decent items on the menu at low prices. I can eat lunch on the road, do a little work undisturbed, and get out the door cheaply. Panera and Starbucks are good stops for road workers like me, for the Wi-Fi and decent work space, but you struggle to have a meal on the cheap. I am in the field literally every day, and spending $8-$10 a day, every day, on lunch makes no sense for workers like me. But at McDonald's I can have one of the under-400-calorie sandwiches, a side salad with dressing (balsamic vinaigrette; why does the staff always assume ranch?) and a large un-sweet tea for around $3.25, feel like I ate something, feel like I didn't kill my nutritional program, feel like I didn't blow my budget and get my work done. The problem I have with them is that there are so many items on their menu that you just shouldn't put in your body. Their marketing is designed to point you towards high-calorie, high-carb, low-nutrition items. As I said, there are some good alternatives on the menu, and with some personal responsibility, common sense and self-discipline, you can make good choices. But it's like crossing a minefield: you shouldn't enter a minefield if you don't have to, and if you do, plan ahead and watch your step. But the guy who lays the minefield does bear some responsibility for the consequences. read more

This McDonald's is one of the worst I've been to, and I love me my McDonald's. I saw several health code violations, from grabbing raw hash browns with bare hands right after taking cash, to letting coffee lids sit directly on the counter. Plus employees returning from smoke breaks and directly going to handling food without hands being washed. Ew. read more

If there was an option for .1 stars, I'd give this place that! Worst experience EVER! Given the fact I was there on the 4th of July, I thought maybe they were minimal staff, but I'm not sure that was the case. ZERO. STARS. We placed our order to dine in at 10:03 AM on 4/8/18. We did not receive our food until 10:26. I am a very patient person, and if the quality of food were even mediocre, I would let it slide. However, in that time, we watched people wait in line, never place an order and then leave because not one person was at the register; watched a crew member sit and scratch off lotto tickets, then go behind the counter, when asked by someone who had been waiting in line for 10 minutes to order, he said he was going to make himself some food, and we watched him go in the kitchen, make himself a sandwich, then sit back down and eat it; people who ordered 5-10 minutes after us got food before us; at last when we got our food it was room temperature; our nephew's muffin was hard and stale; and the icing on the cake is our daughter realized after eating her cinnamon roll, that it had an expiration date of 4/5/18- THREE DAYS AGO. I don't have ridiculously high expectations for any fast food restaurant, but this is unacceptable. read more

The guy in charge of the drink area stated the tea tasted sour. There were three employees on break while there were at least 15 people waiting for food. The bathroom was a wreck and the floor was nasty throughout. The manager clearly didn't care that so many people were waiting. Skip this place. It's a waste of time and money. read more
