Two stars is generous - but it could have been worse. The store wasn't the cleanest - and there were flies everywhere. We were ignored after walking in and standing there by the counter. We finally realized that we had to order at the interactive kiosk. Okay, fine - but maybe a little guidance there? After ordering, we went to our table and joined all the flies there. The food came quick enough. It was unimpressive for a McDonalds. The burgers looked like the were carried around in someone's pocket for an hour. I know they weren't, but they LOOKED like it - kinda smushed and stuff. They weren't terribly warm. The fries were okay. We had to eat quickly because, say it with me... THE FLIES! I won't go back, primarily because I'm rarely in Jefferson. Someone needs to perk this place up. read more

Hit the drive thru with the kiddos. Typical McDonald's ordering and the gal was nice. Pulled up to the middle window, paid.. went on my way. Food window- not a word spoken to me. Nothing. She played with her hair and stood in the window. Took a long time to get our food, I'm not asking for instant food but maybe a 'hey, your food is cooking'. Zero words spoken. Such an odd McDonald's. This is the absolute worst, most disgusting, slowest McDonald's there is. The owner needs to take a good, hard look at the employees and properly investigate their customer service practices. The food is always cold, just like today 3/9, the girl at the drive thru was so rude, made absolutely zero effort to hand me the food. Then I get handed food that is cold. Cold, not warm. Slowest fast food drive through we had ever been through. We were traveling back home and the kids were hungry. It took 20 minutes just to get up to order and there were only 5 cars ahead of us. Got up to the order screen and they made us wait again. Finally up to the window and they drop one of the kids meals on the floor. It was still sealed so he handed it out anyways and said nothing came out. . This place was very understaffed, disorganized, and slow. Absolutely the worst McDonald's EVER!!!!!!. They have screwed up my food orders now 7 times in 3 months. They are the slowest McDonald's. They cannot get a order straight! They do not recognize the mistake and apologize, instead they always look at you as if it is your problem! They took my burger back and just put on what was missing so then my burger was cold. In the past three month service around 7 am is ridiculously slow... I've waited up to four minutes for them to take my order.. no one else in line... sit at the window for another five minutes.. now today another customer behind me revving his engine. Today was the day I stated that " there is no reason for this ridiculously slow service in the morning at a McDonald's " she looks at me and said "sorry" and shut the door. As many other recent reviewers have stated, this is the worst McDonalds I have ever visited. I won't rehash everything that's already been said, just agree with it; dirty, slow...really slow, food sub-par, etc. The big ketchup container with the pump by the napkins and straws was empty so I carried it to the front counter for them. A supervisor grabbed a container of ketchup packets and set them on the counter while mumbling something like "You can use these until...". When we left 40 minutes later the empty pump container was exactly where I had placed it on the front counter. Need I say more ? Oh yeah, they had about 4 or 5 customers in the store and a few through the drive through during that time. And I thought the one in Whitewater was bad. These guys made Whitewater look great by comparison! I won't be going back there....ever! read more

Was there last week and was sorry I stopped. My first impression was the mess and uncleanliness of the soda fountain area. There were dirty napkins, straws and soda spilled all over the place. The trash cans were overflowing and when I went to use the ladies' room it only got worse. The stalls were all dirty. The faucet was broken, no way to get any water to wash my hands which got me thinking..... how are the female employees washing their hands after using the facilities? read more

Worst customer service ever! Shake machine is always down, takes over 40 minutes to get food.

I am updating my review from 1 to 5 stars. Let me tell you why. My first review commented about how unclean it was, and how unprofessional I felt the staff was, which is a direct result of management. I walked in to get a cold soda, and was immediately STUNNED at how the place had visibly improved. I asked if there was a new manager. She introduced herself. I also met the Assistant Manager. I gave her a good old piece of my mind, oh yeah. Don't fret, yelp readers, this was in a good way. The place was absolutely different from when I had stopped coming. Incredible example of how your employees will treat their customers the same way of how they perceive management and the corporation treats the. In this case, I would surmise that they feel supported, as this place had turned around, completely. The manager- and Assistant Manager, asked me to tell those I knew to give them another chance, and I. Doing just that. I have personally known enough Mcdonalds employees enough to know there is a wide variation by location. I cared enough about Mcdonalds, and their employees (I can't even comprehend how difficult "fast food" work might be), to hard letter write them about my concerns about cleanliness and surly employees. So, corporate folks, hope you are still listening, because their are some committed people working here now. And, I should have figured it out, as they were, finally! Using their large sign with the golden arches, to advertise specials and welcome customers. I thought it just because I noted such to corporate HQ. And, to the person who worked at McDonald's years ago, and said... "yeah, but your job is important. I just work at McDonald's, I set her straight. It might have taken me a lot of education and training to do the job I did, but believe me, every off shift medical professional thanks you. Every traveling salesperson knows you, loves you, and thanks you for your clean, safe bathroom and your hot and cold beverages. You have brought me happiness, as well as the "morning regulars", the seniors who meet for breakfast, but really come for a smile and the company. Yeah, you bring me joy. And the smile you greeted me with? There just might be someone who came in earlier, and that smile was the only one they had gotten in a long time. I walked into my local Mcdonalds (Jefferson WI) today and went to order my food. I spend $21 for me and my friends food! the Lady (Michelle) behind the register was being extremely mean to me and her co-workers the entire time. After waiting for 10 minutes for my food, an employee ask what I ordered since she had seen me waiting there for a decent amount of time. So I told her what i order, immediately Michelle confronted me and threatened to kick me out of the restaurant for talking to an employee, even though all I said to the employee was what I order. All the employee was trying to do was help get me my food faster. Minutes later Michelle threatened to fire my cousin even though all she was trying to do was help me, a customer who just spend a decent amount of money get there food faster. Instead I get threatened to be kicked out of the restaurant, for literally no reason. This was a very bad experience at one of your restraunts that can be easily avoided in the future if you fire Michelle. read more
