You place your order and pay...then if you are really unlucky they ask you to park here so they can forget about you.

Horrible experience. Half a mile away from the "other" McDonald's, I placed an order with the app, saw it was on US72, and assumed it was the closest place. Instant charge, and no ability to change location. The app informed me I was at the wrong location. Drove 10 minutes against traffic to get to the other Huntsville US72 location, where I sat trapped in the drive-through for FIFTEEN minutes without moving once. More than 45 minutes after placing my mobile order I did receive my food. The order was accurate, and is the only reason for any grace. The motto of this joint should be "the tortoise won."

The Greenroom - Charming interior, just the right size for a quiet visit or a little convo over coffee

I hadn't been to the Greenroom in quite a while, but was across the street and needed a bite and…read morecaffeine for the Friday afternoon. I walked in a little past 1pm, having studied the chalkboard outside with a delightful-sounding selection of spring specials. As I'm ordering, the barista and I alike see another group walk in. And another. And another-- I'm not seeing anyone else in the rather small physical establishment, and as a former barista am beginning to sweat a bit for this Greenroom employee and all of the orders he is about to have to deal with, seemingly by himself (cue the cheerful chime announcing more customers, and more customers). As I wait for my order, grateful to be the first in this long line, I sit to casually read a book and take my opportunity to observe my fellow patrons of this fine little spot. I hear the barista asking customers if they're okay with waiting, and he begins to ask customers if they're okay with waiting a minute for their orders. I'm content, as I have no urgent arrangements, and the now plastic-gloved barista comes up to me, informing me that they have no lime to garnish the avocado toast I've ordered and asking if that was okay. I assert as much and he returns to the line; I think to myself that he could have saved the time and not told me and I wouldn't have known the difference, but I'm pleased with his attention to detail. I get my to-go box of avocado toast with an egg and am pleased to open it and try a bite. I feel that it could have done with red pepper flakes (my favorite), but the everything bagel seasoning added a nice texture and the overall flavor profile was delightfully savory. As for my drink, which came later, it was the Good Riddance: a vanilla cold brew with lime pie cold foam (which lived up to the name tremendously). It also had what I believe to be graham cracker or pie crust crumbles on the top that were delightful! The drink was delicious and perfect for the spring weather. I sit upstairs as I always do, but specifically on the patio where I can see all of MidCity and the surrounding businesses. There's nonintrusive and enjoyable music presumably coming from the Camp itself? After an hour or so of enjoying my spoils, I return to the counter below to see if the barista is still there now that the rush is over. He is now accompanied by another coworker, blessedly, and I learn that his name is Caleb. We chat for a few moments and I introduce myself before leaving, but not before taking another picture of all the event calendars for the week and month. Now I'm positively fueled for my afternoon and grateful for the relaxed atmosphere. (Thanks for reading this far if you did, and shoutout again to Caleb for doing his job tremendously! He informed me that he enjoys a good rush of customers, and I replied that I would have cried to have been in the situation that he handled with great poise and dedication. The great service alongside the excellent product left me wanting to return quickly!)

Once we made it in, we found a friendly staff, a small sitting area, and coffee options with house made syrup. I went with my standard iced vanilla latte and enjoyed it! I would love to come back and explore more of what The Camp has to offer.

Visiting HSV for three days, staying near the Arsenal gate 1. The AirBnB fibbed to us, saying the…read moreplace had a drip coffeemaker, which it did NOT. So at 8 each of three mornings, I'm making a trek to each of three local coffee spots and will compare them. We do drip, so can't say anything about espresso brews or cold whatevers. Gold Sprint is first. It's at Lowe Mill, and looks, acts, and tastes like it: pretty artsy-ferny-handmade place with strong!, unusual, yet flavorful coffee served by eclectic and intense baristas. The store is clean, busy and comfortable. There are no stoppers for the go cup lids, so recommend either ordering "with room" or snagging an extra napkin to sop up spillage from your center console. The weekday I went they had a small selection of pastries as well. Gotta say the blueberry scones were about the best I've had outside the UK. Get that! Two 16-ounce coffees, two pastries, and a generous tip came to $20. Not bad. Quick comparison: Angel's Island had less interesting yet still strong and delicious brew, a more standard but much smaller inside space, ordinary-people baristas, a larger selection of good but not excellent pastries, and a drive-through. $20 for two 20-ounce cups and two pastries. And plugs for the cup lids so no slosh spillage. Clearly designed for the drive-by morning commuter, where Gold Sprint is aiming to capture your coffee-drinking butt for a little more time. Go to either one. You will be happy.

There is also outside seating area and seating in the back outside where some people bring their dogs. This is more of your lively coffee shop, more of a grab coffee with your friends or get items done on your to-do list, not a quiet study cafe. I didn't try the food, but it looked pretty good.

I still like this place and have even gotten "real food" there…read more Pros: Staff are friendly! They nicely ground the bag of (overpriced) coffee I bought with zero complaints. The breakfast sandwiches and BLT are decently executed, but I'm REALLY not a fan of their bagels. Their bread (particularly the baguette) is fantastic, though. Note: it sells out quickly. You can still pick up your to-go order without having to deal with people. They now have a cute bookshop inside. They make their own cream cheese! Cons: If I'm paying $1.50 for an avocado add on, PLEASE don't let it be oxidized and brown and gross. This makes me sad. Parking is still a nightmare. See above about the bagels. I'm prepared for the hate I'm about to get, but I prefer Bruegger's...which is sad, as I'm sure they're produced and come in frozen. Prices have gone up, but that's to be expected. I would love, however, the option to not add on a side for less moolah. I don't want their straight from the bag chips, random baby carrots, or (somewhat icky) fruit. Depending on the timing, you may be able to get a seat. Or you may be fighting a soccer mom with 4 screaming toddlers just to pick up a to go order. Still a fan, but know what you're getting.

This is just for the bagels. The good Parking is plentiful and easy in and out. And they offer just enough Schmear as an extra and will toast it for you. It is a quaint place that offers a place to hang out for a while. The staff was cordial not overly friendly and seemed really focused on the tasks at hand. I would have liked to have had a better breakfast bagel sandwich selection as that is what I was looking for but most of the offerings were on toasted bread.

The Peruvian whole bean coffee is my current favorite. Weyman is a MASTER when it comes to roasting the perfect raw, whole bean, and I am a HUGE fan of this lovely gentleman's skill. He was a rocket scientist before he became a master of coffee beans, and he is just as brilliant with the coffee beans as he was with rockets!! He is also one of the nicest and kindest people you would want to meet. I was one of the first "testers" for Dr. Henry Bright, Birmingham orthodontist and my child's ortho, before he founded the incredible legendary O'Henry's Coffee in Homewood 30-plus years ago. Henry set the standard I compare all coffee beans to. He trained my palate well! Henry has retired and sold O'Henry's, and the quality of the coffee has really gone down with subsequent owners. I have been unable to find any shop in huge Charlotte, NC where I live, that measures up to O'Henry's in its heyday. Olde Towne Coffee measures up! Weyman does as wonderful a job roasting the perfect coffee as Dr. Henry Bright did, and I know the difference in a great bean and a so-so bean. I HIGHLY recommend Olde Towne Coffee if you want a fantastic cup of delicious coffee. Weyman consistently turns out a superb coffee bean. This is a real art, and most roasters fall short of excellence. I am one very happy customer. Susan M. Charlotte, NC
