Ordered a bacon cheeseburger instead and they left the bacon off. Also left off the onions I requested. Wife ordered a double cheeseburger and they put way too much mayo on it. It was squishing out each bite. Also no onions for her. They were not busy when we ordered, only one other order in front of us. Nobody else in the parking lot.

We waited around 20 minutes without being acknowledged or given the opportunity to order. The service I received felt dismissive and inattentive, which left me disappointed and uncomfortable. I hope the management takes customer service concerns seriously and ensures all guests are treated fairly and respectfully. I would advise others to consider this experience when deciding whether to dine here.

Turns…read moreput it's way bigger than I'd thought, 300 stores in 5 states, roughly the same size as In-N-Out. If I have the story straight Braum's was originally a dairy, known for their great milk. They turned the milk into ice cream and eventually opened up restaurants to feature their milk, ice cream and bread. The burger didn't look like much. In In-N-Out speak it wasn't smiling. But what it lacked in looks it made up for in flavor. It was delicious! And it was amazing to me to have tried Freddy's just a few days before and compare them. Both companies are medium sized, regional chains, operating on the same market and both strongly feature burgers and ice cream. But that's where the similarities end. Braum's menu was easier to understand, it's employees were friendlier and the food was much, much better. And I was shocked to find a mini-mart in the store. The attendant said they have one in every restaurant. I thought it was kind of an odd combination but they made it work. Naturally it featured Braum's milk and bread but there was a respectable selection of produce and dry goods and home supplies. Essentially anything you'd find in a typical mini-mart minus the liquor, cigarettes and porn. And the more I think about that the more I like that. It was a tasty restaurant and a fascinating peek into mid western culture. No wi-fi though in case that's a deal breaker.

The employees answer the phone with a 'hello' as if they were at home. Then never can understand plain English ending in a messed up order. I'll be honest. I haven't been to "Jade" in almost 20 years, but I finally went today because the…read moreother Chinese restaurant was closed on Mondays. I was pleasantly surprised by my meal and I'll explain why. I first came in for lunch today and had some hot and sour soup to go(which was very good by the way). While I was waiting on my soup I suddenly noticed something that actually excited me. It was something I wouldn't of ever expected to see in your average small town Chinese restaurant. On a white dry erase board behind the front counter, I just happen to notice a hand written list of specialty items that weren't anywhere to be found on they're actual menu. I was especially excited to see a Japanese undon noodle dish available upon special requests along with a few other great off menu items(which I will have to try later). I came back that evening to get some to go dinner and ordered off of the white dry erase board and was very happy with my meal. These "off menu items" have now set Jade apart from the other competition in Holdenville by serving "some" non-Americanized Chinese food selections and doing it right. The restaurant was very clean and well kept which is always a plus for these kind of places. The only reason this place didn't get five stars from me was for two reasons. The first is really not that big of a deal... This is a CASH ONLY restaurant. So be prepared and have some cash with you when you go in. The second is the women who works the front of the house. I'm sure she means well, but her response towards customers can come off as a bit rough. However, I think this has more to do with her struggle with English. She's not bad at it, but has a bit of trouble conveying proper emotion in response wording. Plus I'm sure she has rough days too. I mean after all she's human like the rest of us. My over all experience was very good today, and I will most certainly be back. I just wish they had larger portions for they're to go hot and sour soup containers.
