The food was second rate and skimpy. Come on guys. you can do a lot better! You lost your competition and loosing customers!

Ordered 3 things. They forgot one of them entirely, gave me the wrong count of nuggets (less than I paid for), wrong drink, wrong sauce. I mean I know its mcdonalds so that seems like the norm but that is the problem. Its normal for them to get literally everything wrong. Just sad. Robots would no doubt do better. Will not be returning read more

This McDonald's absolutely sucks! They do what they want when they want. They never ask what sauce you want and when you tell them ranch they ALWAYS give bbq. They do not care. read more

Today is 5/22/23. I went to McDonalds on Ormond Blvd at 6:30 pm and placed an order at the drive thru. I was asked to pull up to wait for my order so I pulled into the Reserved #1 spot in front & waited. After 15 minutes, I started to have a diabetic problem and pulled around to the drive thru again and told the cashier I had paid but never got my order after waiting in the reserved spot like I was told. I told her I was having a diabetic problem and she told me to pull up to the pickup window & tell them. I thanked her & pulled up. I showed the young man at the window my ticket and asked where my food was and I had been waiting 15 minutes. He closed the window, called another man who's name was Tyren to bring my food. This young man approaches the window and says his people searched the whole area for me with the food and I wasn't around. I told him I was sitting in the Reserved #1 spot for 15 minutes and no one came. This is when he decided to become a TikTok wannabe. He shoved my food in my face out of the window, told me I was a liar TWICE and told me to get the hell out of his drive thru line. Already in crisis, I told him I wanted his name and he slammed the window in my face. The rest of the staff stood there and laughed at me. I kept asking through a closed window for his name. Finally he opened the window and shouted his name at me and slammed it again. I asked for the spelling because I could not understand him. After laughing with his associates, he opened the window and slowly spelled it, I asked for corporate's number at which time he gave me some phone number on a security sticker on the window telling me it was the correct number and if I didn't leave he was calling the police. I told him I'd leave when I wrote it all down, at which time he told another employee to call the police. People in line behind me started yelling for me to move so they could get their food. When did this world become so cruel. I paid money for food I never received, was told I was a liar many times, cursed at, threatened and I feel "set up" to lose any dignity I had. I'm 57. I just needed food so I didn't pass out behind the wheel. I won't EVER go to that McDonalds again. I've never been treated this way. I really don't know what to do. I do know I'm terrified now to go to any drive thru places. I'm also scared if I try to take action against this person, he'll come after me. Just letting folks know that Ormond's McDonalds is not always hiring the correct employees to help you. Some of them are looking for confrontation. read more

I was served very efficiently and quickly by a well-mannered staff. They have recently had new hires and are much happier and nicer than recently, especially the boy working in the first-window in the drive-thru. My food was amazing! I had a Hot and Spicy add cheese $5 meal deal with a Hi-C, and the drink was AMAZING. The food tasted good and was well-made, and I just love the look of the store and the ambiance that it provides, from the drive-thru and on the outside looking in. Good Job McDonald's! read more

Literally the laziest bitches work there lmao never can get an order right. They sit there and look stupid if you're trying to get their attention, don't even open the window. fries are always undercooked. read more

McDonald's - a breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee - Fast Food Near Me - Destrehan, Louisiana

Fast Food??? Ordered a Quarter Pounder with fries...Nothing special. Get to the pickup window and of course I need to pull forward and park to wait for my order. Waited 25 minutes and no food. Just a hamburger and a french fry...How long does it take to make a hamburger and a large french fry. McDonalds sucks...they do this at almost every franchise...every time...I'm done and won't be going to any McDonalds again. Who has time for this??? Fast Food??? read more

Takes 30 minutes for food usually and is cold and always off in some sort of way. The sitting area is dirty and the McFlurry is never mixed. They always forget to give me my drink or my sauce and the roof is always leaking. My food is cold and my spicy mccrispy had a drop of spicy sauce on it that was so small I couldnt even taste it. The lady at the register was too lazy to give me my change and they never give you a receipt. Your hand has to be up the sinks faucet for the motion sensor to detect your hand. Horrible and lazy workers. read more

This location has gotten much better in past few months. Being that it's the only decent fast food/drive thru on the area. This is one of the low points living in this area, lack of choices read more

This McDonald's was very clean and well maintained. The food is the same as any other McDonald's you have probably been to. They have been quick and accurate with all of my orders. The service has always been nice and friendly. When you need a fast and cheap meal or snack, this is a fine place to stop. read more

Be AWARE! The McDonald's in Destrehan is absolutely disgusting! I went through the drive-through this evening to get my elderly mother, a hot fudge sundae as promised, and in doing, so I was waiting at the drive up window, watching the girl rip away at the seal with her teeth on a brand new bottle of hot fudge. She continued to rip it with her teeth and would spit out a little piece at a time on the floor. Her entire mouth, lips and saliva was covering the top of the hot fudge bottle. When I spoke to the manager at the front drive-through, he acted as though he really did not care and was like what do you want me to do about it and then proceeded to tell me to pull around and he would make another one. I watched him walk away and put his arm around the girl and whisper in her ear, and at that point, I felt sure that it was unsafe for me to drive around and wait on what would be put in my ice cream or how it would be handled because this was not going to be good. The bottle was not thrown away and was left waiting for the next person who would drive up. I am making sure to share this with the locals about this is a place. I would often take my mom to get a ice cream treat but not anymore. 5/26/23 read more

First time I go to my neighborhood McDonald's in years. I took my grandson because he wanted chicken strips. We were absolutely the only people dining in and it was 2 PM, not even lunch hour. We sat down and waited and waited. I got up to ask if there was a problem 14 minutes after I ordered, I was told they were waiting on chicken strips. Well 5 minutes later I was going to get a refund and walk out and my food was sitting on the counter, so we stayed. Big mistake, my order was ok (fish sandwich) but my grandson's chicken strips were burnt and almost not edible (see pic). also, never got any sort of apology. I do not recommend this mcDonalds to anyone and I will never go here again! I remember the service being great, well it's not anymore! read more

5:16 am Well it says it opens at 5 am but not today. How has McDonalds not removed these owners and put it under new management. Slow And smelly read more

I just walked out of McDonald's this morning because No one helped me at the register.... after standing there awhile and obviously being ignored, I finally asked if anyone was working the register. I'm a catholic so I can't eat meat on fridays so one day I went through the drive through, since it's COVID and ordered two Fillet-O-Fish and two sweet teas. The sweet tea tasted like it was sugar, and only sugar and the lady gave us a QUARTER POUNDER and a double Fillet-O-Fish so I couldn't eat it since it's lint. Horrible service and we sat at the window for atleast 20 minutes. Horrible food. Never eating at that McDonald again. read more

If I could give this location ZERO stars I would. Orders are rarely correct. It definitely fits the running joke that the ice cream machine is always getting cleaned or broken after 8pm. And the local high school sells a fundraiser book, which included McDonalds and other local establishments, but this McDonalds doesn't accept them. Way to support your local community! read more

The only reason why I give this McDonalds a one star is for their terrible service, including that they are slow. It does not make it any better that one of my friends who used to work there said they would spit on the food if they didn't like someone. read more

The drive thru cashier could have been more patient to get our order right but she was too busy on her phone to care. Our food was still wrong when we got to the second window. This is the 3rd time this kind of issue has happened. They definitely need new management and training to be more customer friendly at this location. Completely ridiculous! We will NOT be coming back to this location anytime soon if at all. read more

I work at this McDonald's in Ormond. I can confirm and add stories to my time working there. It is honestly, just terrible to work there. The food is not that good. (That can just be from me working there so long). The crew is terrible. Always drama and yelling and the teens think they are all that. People constantly walk away from their spot to do f**k all. read more

Awful! Terrible staff and order is always messed up! I tried the curbside pick up today and I've been waiting here for 20 minutes. On top of it there was only one curbside pick up spot which of course was already taken by someone not using this service. This is by far the worst Mcdonald's. They've remodeled but the service hasn't improved at all! read more

Complete, unadulterated, garbage. They should just take any sort of ice cream or cold coffee off of the menu because the subhumans that work here cannot be bothered to make anything they can't drop and walk away from. I have tried to get a Frappe 8 times now in the morning and I was only able to get it once over about a 3 week period, they don't even try to make up a lie about it anymore they just say they don't have them. If you pull up to the drive through be prepared to be made to feel like you are bothering someone because that's the attitude you are going to get. Ordering anything but a cheeseburger and you are getting pulled around to wait for your order and someone might bring it out to you although I have had to go inside after 15 minutes before to get it myself. If anywhere and I mean anywhere close was open at 0500 that made drinkable coffee and/or the occasional iced coffee I would never go to this dumpster again. read more

The worst McDonald I've ever been too. I work around the corner and they have NEVER gotten my order correct. So poorly run it's not even funny. read more

This is the worst McDonald's in the chain. The management is extremely unprofessional and could use a crash course in customer service. The inconsistencies in product availability and product quality are a slap in the face to everything McDonald's stands for. Even after the full remodel, this location still has equipment issues affecting their ability to offer basic menu items such as iced tea to milk shakes, all on the same day. Plus, they consistently rank in the worst top 30 for health code violations in the New Orleans Metro area. And what is the deal with the credit card machine not working? I'm done. Management blames the customer for their issues. Management is full of excuses and McDonald's corporate customer relations could care less. So I choose to support Burger King, located right across the street, where they know my name and I receive consistent quality and customer service on every visit I make. read more

Wow. Had the pleasure of visiting Destrehan, LA. When not at home I usually get my coffee from mcdonalds and this one was the closest for me. Hands down the worst customer service I've experienced at a mcdonalds. Inconsistency in product... It's just coffee people. Just hold the nozzle till the hot stuff gets to the top of the cup. Over the top attitude when they get order the wrong .... which happened every single time I visited. I tried the drive thru, walking in, explaining it slowly. Does not matter. The owner of this one needs to clean house! read more

The service here sucks. The owners need to fire everyone and start over. I came merely to get a happy meal for my daughter. The staff is inattentive and was playing while taking my order.
