With meunster cheese, rocket, drizzled with truffle mayo - This burger definitely knows how to look after you. Rocked up on a Thursday and the line was already 30 deep around 645pm, so the wait was roughly half an hour. Not a fan of queues, but they're there for a reason. This week was the Truffe Burger, and I naturally had to order a double. This burger is supposedly the favourite one among the staff, so I had expectations but I tempered them too. The dirty fries were also on showcase, so had to order those as well. The dirty fries were decent, but whoever made them didn't salt them properly as the salt was distributed unevenly....mega salty in the middle and barely salted on the edges. Not sure I'd order these again unless they fixed that up. The Truffe was pretty good...I wasn't expecting it to be, but I had no qualms with this burger, especially at $13 for a double. The truffle oil with the mayo and cheese went well with the grass fed Tasmanian beef patty. Did I enjoy this burger more than the Bronx at Five Points? Yes I did...I'm definitely keen to try the Cheese Boogie and Fat Boy now. My only gripe (besides the fries) is that this place isn't the most accessible if you live by the CBD, but if you live by inner west you should by all means go.

This is a small shop front with most of the seating outside, so I think this place might be more of a take away venue. Anyhow, to start with the staff member who greeted us and took our order was great. She knew the menu and had no problem what so ever when we asked for changes and additions to our order. I had The Villain whilst the other half went for their Bonus Round burger, which is with beef. The beef burger was spot on. The ingredients at Lashings always taste fresh, and burgers are made-to-order. The burgers at Lashings are fairly reasonably priced considering the high quality of their food and lack of competition in the area. A burger will cost you anywhere from $7.40 (for a classic Harvey burger) to $9.90 (for the Double Decker). Add $3.80 onto the price and you've got yourself a meal. Sure, it's a little more expensive than McDonalds, but the quality and serving sizes are far superior to that of any fast-food joint. Service at Lashings is always prompt, but frantic. By Saturday afternoon, the place is packed with dozens of sore heads trying to recover from the night before. Despite this, service is still pretty fast. Not McDonald's fast, but made-to-order fast. The crew at Lashings might not be overly friendly, but they certainly are efficient.

We didn't plan on eating there as the seating is right next to Parramatta Road - this being said, it wasn't nearly as loud as I thought it was going to be. Great value for money. Both of our combos were only $12 each! They were very generous with chip portions, only issue was that their chips were bland even with chicken salt. We couldn't eat them. I have no idea where they sourced their potatoes from but they need a better supplier. The burgers were okay. While I was eating it I didn't notice the beef pattie, it was certainly there but there was no outstanding flavour or texture. Their special sauce was enjoyable, but other than that there wasn't any "oh my gosh" moments. These guys have a lot of potential. I hope that they can beef up their beef and really establish themselves in as Burger Bros.

While the place is connected to Rhodes Shopping Centre you enter from the street. The place has a cool urban industrial look. It's a little out there and I like it. There is also outside seating. You order and pay at the counter. Each table has a number which you're supposed to remember for when you order. I guess so many people didn't know they were supposed to remember their table number so now you're given a number after ordering. So we sat at table 3 but were given number 47 to take back to the table. Whatever works. The burgers came out in good time along with our fries. The burgers are a decent size so I only ordered a small fries to share between two. I didn't think about ordering sauce and by the time we started eating I didn't care enough to go up and ask for some. Plus if I had to pay for it it would have been awkward and I didn't want to go through all that. The fries was nice and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Not too fat nor too thin. Fresh and very hot. It was salted but only slightly, needed a little more to make it perfect. Sauce would have resolved this problem. But again I was being lazy. The double cheeseburgers we're pretty darn good. Meat was cooked nicely. Not too greasy. The acidity of the onion paired well with the saltiness of the melted cheese. It was an awesome burger. There was a slight problem but I don't want it to negatively taint the restaurant in any way possible. We had a great night and a great meal, but I always ask myself in the event of something not quite right happening at a restaurant "What would Gordon Ramsay do?" My burger had a strip of wax paper stuck to the bottom of the bun. If I hadn't cut my burger up I might have eaten it unwittingly. I made sure I told the chef, it wasn't to complain but just as a way for them to know so it doesn't happen again. We'd finished our meals by that point. I made sure to tell them how much I still enjoyed the burger and we left. One of the staff called us back in so he could comp us the burger.
