Drive thru overcharged me, even when I explained that the amount sounded too high. I wanted to use the app for 20% the entire order. To do so I need to added like $2 to my order so I got an additional egg biscuit sandwich. Literally just egg and a biscuit that cost $3.10. They charge me for a sausage egg biscuit for $4.89 and just said no sausage. We do not live in this economy anymore, nor should we ever. I mentioned this at the next window as she was trying to hand me the coffee. I explained I was overcharged and needed an adjustment. She looked at me, then the coffee and then back at me and asked is this not the coffee you ordered? I told her no, the coffee is fine but please adjust the amount. She went to get a manager and they came to the window and asked me what was wrong with my coffee... ‍ Then to pull up, of course. I'm trying to go to work. I go inside to see the manager staring at my receipt with confusion. I explained with visual proof showing an egg biscuit is $3.19, and I would like the amount adjusted. He responded "ok you want refund", and refunds the entire sandwich. I don't know this until they hand me a bag with the wrong order. At this point, I want to leave. I'm angry, hungry and now I'm in a hurry. My food is cold and I asked for a full refund and he just said I'm delightful, which was sarcasm for you're being a bitch. Please understand there were zero apologies for overcharging me and causing this drama. DON'T STEAL FROM CUSTOMERS !!! I don't even know why I come here to complain. Nothing's gonna change. On their downtime they probably sit around laughing about how much they hate their customers. Huge language barriers and the retail smugness of being over the job. I'm over it too. The whole world has changed and not sure why we put up with McDonald's anymore. The quality is terrible, the service is worse and we are charged a premium... and sometimes more because they don't know how to do their job. I pulled in and there are zero parking spots. So I parked in the handicap. I expected to see a ton of people inside. I was the only one. I waited at the counter for 3 minutes before someone came. I had a free hamburger from the Halloween book I bought. I handed it to her (btw, she never greeted me, just showed up at the register and looked at me). She exhaled loudly and said she needs a manager for this. Ok So I asked "is the daily double a bug one get one for a dollar?" She told me she does not know and if I would like that anyway. I usually only write reviews for great or poor service and breakfast this morning was terrible. I ordered on the app before leaving home at 1045. We received acknowledgment about 3 minutes later. At 1050 we were parked in the pickup spot and I sent our number in. 20 minutes later, my wife went in to find out where our mobile order was. In the meantime, the drive through cleared about 3x. Inside, they had to find our order and finally at 1120 we had our breakfast. Several other customers were returning to complain about missing items while we waited. 35 minutes from order to having to go inside to complain before receiving our order. This is a new low for this location. I was hoping to receive a review from the franchise but no luck. Previously, they've messed up our drive through order because of confusion due to the dual order stations. Those are a genius flop too which is why I won't use them. read more

I went there yesterday, ordered two hamburgers with only ketchup and onion (my wife, a small fry, sundae, McDouble, and a McChicken. My order came with two hamburgers only ketchup and mustard, and no McChicken. I love getting screwed out of my hard earned money. If you are looking to never get what you ordered this is the place to go, they always manage to forget half my order, and are always so nice by never saying anything to you when you are at the window, not to mention how you have to scream your order to them so they can only part of it down and you have to yell that they messed it up and it needs corrected. I'm lovin it, here. I don't know the reviews are so low for this particular McDonald's. This is not based on one experience but rather several visits. The food is hot and fresh, always and every time. The service is fast and friendly. It's McDonald's, I know what to expect but here, it's that much better than any other McDonald's for the reasons above. The drive-thru is equally efficient and fast. Very rude employee named Kiara. All I said to her was that I was missing a burger. My kids were in the car and everything. She proceeded to have an attitude and say did I or did I not repeat your order back to you at the intercom. I was appalled bc i could not believe I got such attitude for stating I was missing a burger from the order. She told me i need to come in or go around in the ridiculously long line again. At this point I am livid bc this is not how customer service is. She continues to roll her eyes and go bk and forth with me instead of just making a burger and charging me for the difference. The argument becomes escalated and a woman of Spanish decent comes and screams at me and not knowing what the issue was. Mind you Kiara was not only engaging with me but she upset my 16 yr old child as well to the point there was a big issue. My daughter asked to speak to a manager and Kiara states something about holding up the line that was already ridiculously long when we got there. Then she screams and holds her shirt near a tag saying I am the manager. I said well you don't need to be one. Still this all could have been prevented if she just fixed the problem. The other woman said she was calling the police on me an upset angry provoked customer. So sad instead of de escalating the issue and asking me what was the problem she yelled at me as well and stated she was calling the police. I said you are gonna call the police on me over a burger. Yes I was upset but, I yelled bc I was yelled at by a do called manager that has bad managerial skills. I have visited this McDonalds dozens of times due to my sons love for Happy Meals and the fact they always have Buttermilk Crispy chicken tenders available. I've never had any problems with the food or service. The drive through moves efficiently and they always ask if you need straws or condiments and they never forget the napkins. I don't know what it is about this particular McDonald's. They always screw up our order. My son and I cannot eat cheese, and no matter what, whenever I specify that I want something without cheese, they slap cheese on it. That stuff doesn't come off easily. It's gross and sticks to everything, making the food inedible. Today, I ordered a classic chicken sandwich. It doesn't even come with cheese. I've ordered it before, several times and it always comes with a sauce and pickles. NO CHEESE, not even shown in the picture with cheese. Well today they slapped cheese on it anyway, and didn't put any pickles on it either. :( Food ruined. Plus they gave my son a regular milk instead of the chocolate one we asked for, and the fries were not salted. I do not know if this store has changed ownership or not, but it sure seems like it has. Stopped in with my son from out of town, ordered a big breakfast with pancakes, coffee, etc. The order came up missing the pancakes (they were brought to the table 5 minutes later). The eggs were rubber, the coffee (which McDonalds is known for) was like drinking colored water and the biscuit was hard and cold. The only good items were the pancakes, hash brown and sausage. I hope the store owner gets this review and takes action. I will wait a month to see if things are better, if not, I will no longer stop there. read more

Barely gave it one star...went thru the drivethru for a hamburger and a children's cheeseburger PLAIN Happy Meal....at the window after paying , I repeated the order to the window clerk for a PLAIN cheeseburger in the meal....he responded back to me in Spanish (I am definitely an English speaking customer) and then nodded...so I assumed that they bagged the order correctly. When I opened it up at home, it was a hot and spicy chicken sandwich...in a kids meal. My husband called to complain and the manager on duty told him 'well the chicken sandwich isn't THAT hot for a child......really??? I worked at McDonald's in high school and college. Over the last 30 plus years, I've driven extensively and stopped at a multitude of McDonald's along the way. Some might think that's sad, and quite honestly, I cannot disagree. I digress...12 years ago, I moved into the area where the Crete McDonald's is located. As a long time customer of this and many McDonald's, I can safely say that the Crete, Illinois McDonald's is BY FAR the single worst restaurant in the chain, both in quality of food and time of service. Their poor service has so many times driven me close to giving up getting coffee or soda at the entire chain. The wait times are brutal, they routinely move 3, 4, 5 cars through one or their idiotically designed double order lanes and simply cannot catch on to serving a drink out the first pay window, so we can get the heck out of there and not wait another 10 minutes for the two cars ahead of us waiting for their food. Tonight, being the only customer in either line, I sat by a dead speaker saying "hello" while 2 other cars pulled up to the other lane, placed orders, and pulled past, then I got the canned "would you like" spiel, ordered my coffee, and had to wait another 5 minutes, for the schmucks ahead of me to get their food. Bravo, truly the best at being the worst. We all can only hope competition moves in. Yes. Yes, I did have time to write all this while waiting for my coffee. Coming from the south? Stop at the McDonald's in Beecher. Going north, swing over to the McDonald's in Sauk Village. Going west, South Chicago Heights McDonald's. Believe me, you'll be happier. read more

This place is amazing. I love going and getting my order taken by Alfonso. He's always in such good mood and he always gets my order correct. I always find myself to be in a good mood after Alfonso takes my order. He really should be a manager there. He works all day, I would go in at different times a day and he's always there smiling. So I sent her back with all the food so we could have everything made fresh. She waits 10 minutes and checks the bag and let's the worker know one of our sandwiches are messed up. They "remade" it. she comes home and the fries we're not "FRESH" and the sandwiches were definitely not fresh. I personally tried to call 6 times with no answer. Not pleased what so ever. The night shift sucks, to put it nicely. My meal was incorrect, and the manager REFUSED to speak to me. The cashier refused to provide me with a receipt. The best time to go there is during the day. During the day, the meal is most likely to be messed uo, but the manager is willing to speak to you. On an other note, I have never gotten a mcdouble that wasn't oozing loads of ketchup and smothering the wrapper. They need to rethink their management strategy... seriously. read more

I have lived in this area, using this mcdonalds for over 15 years. The last 5 years of this place as went down the drain. I have never had my order right, or all of the order at once, You don't get a manager that helps a problem... the managers alone are a problem, they are ignorant, they have hung up the phone when i call to talk to a manager. I have had to actually find the owner of this place and explain to them the problem. they shut down certain machines for food at night, so they don't even have the whole menu as a option. This is one of the absolute worst locations in the south burbs. I've tolerated as much as I can stand & will no longer patronize. The last straw, just happened today. Ordered 3 chocolate chip cookies thru the drive thru. When I got back to work, I discovered they were stale, crumbly. Put them in the microwave to see if that would help the situation & only ended up with warm, still stale & crumbly cookies. So I called the location & spoke to Teresa. Since I only spent 1.66, I'm thinking I could throw these away & stop back at my convenience. Nope, she said she had just gotten done eating one & they were fine to her & then she tried to tell me that there was no order for cookies & asked me when did the order take place, as if I'm lying about 3 damn cookies! $1.66 is not going to change my lifestyle nor hers! I told her she was wrong for demanding I drive around over 1.66, with food in my car. Today is Thursday. So Saturday morning I will return with these shitty-ass, crumbly, fucked up ass cookies & return them. I'm actually kinda glad this happened because my trainer has me doing planks & I didn't need no fuckin cookies. Give me my 1.66 back & we're good. Who the hell tries to cheat Mcdonalds out of 1.66?
