On our way home from vacation, stopped by for something fast. Waited in drive thru line and from the amount of garbage on the back of the building should have left after five minutes. Get to the speaker to order and asked for water, they charged us for Dasani water bottles, we asked the young lady at the speaker if we could get cups with lids and a couple of seconds later the manager literally busts open the back door letting us know that he can give us small cups for the Dasani bottles but they can't physically open it and pour it into the cup. We again explain that we want large cups of water and he screams again that we have to pay for the cups (no big deal, we had already planned on it.) Pulled around to the window and was greeted by a really sweet worker that gave us plenty of napkins and condiments. As we were waiting on the food to be finished we got a good laugh about the five teenagers it took to fill up our waters. When we opened the sandwiches, two of them weren't correct. Giving this place a 2 star rating (extra star is for the worker at the window.) If you're in a hurry, keep driving. read more

Absolutely disgusting establishment. They care more about times than their own employees and the customers. Telling people to pull cars even when there is virtually no one around. Not to mention the water EVERYWHERE. How is this sanitary? It's abysmal the conditions the workers are supposed to endure. Slipping and sliding around, they have to use a shop vac to suck up the water rather than actually fixing anything. And I know I saw maggots crawling around underfoot in there. Do not eat here. Ever. Hadn't been to any McDonald's for years. But...it was a hot day and we'd been at a friend's yard sale, out in the sun, so we were hankering for a small dish of vanilla ice cream. In this very small town, Mickey D's is it. What used to cost $1 is now $3.75. And the cashier didn't give us all our change back, but rounded it off without telling us. THE WORST PART, however: the very, very tiny cup had about 3 oz. of completely melted, watered down vanilla milkshake! It was not the soft serve swirly ice cream of a few years ago. Nope. This location has been getting bad reviews for 10+ years, and I can confirm nothing has changed and they maintain their incredibly low standards. Today ordered a Big Mac Meal and Quarter Pounder meal and waited nearly 25 minutes for the food. Have stopped here several times over the years. Always this bad and this slow. To whom it may concern, I regret to inform you that I have been to this establishment twice, both times with equally unsatisfactory experiences. Both visits were during road trips, when we had an hour or two left on our journey. Visit #1, 7Jun19 at 8pm: In the drive through for at least 20 minutes, with no escape due to cars in front and behind. We had a simple order of two chicken nugget meals. When we finally received our food, there was no "sorry for the long wait" from the workers, which could have made the experience a little less trying. Visit #2, 15Jun19 at 11:30am: We learned from our drive through fiasco, and decided on going inside and giving them another try. However, we were sadly mistaken. Clearly it was everyone's first day working, because the service time, yet again, was atrocious. We waited at least 20 minutes, for a chicken nugget meal and a chicken sandwich meal. Again, no employee apologized for the long wait, which to me, is a simple way to mitigate customer service problems. The inside of the restaurant was very messy, over crowded, has poor seating, and a poor bathroom arrangement. It seems like this Mcdonald's is a stop for people driving long distances with no other options and it's pretty sad when you expect to get FAST food and get back on the road, but instead have to wait and delay your trip. I would not recommend this Mcdonald's to anyone, unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. Thank you. read more

We were on our way to Mobile. Stopped here for a quick breakfast. I give it two stars because my chicken was hot and if it had not been unusually big, I may have given the review a three. I asked for it to be one regular bun instead of a Biscuit and they honored that but I questioned what it really was. The low rating also comes from the fact that this restaurant really needs a cleaning. It did not have a pleasant smell which is another reason why I didn't eat my sandwhich. If your stopping at McDonald's it's usually for a couple of reasons: 1) you have kids 2) there are no other options. Both situations applied to my family today. Now I'll admit, McDonald's isn't the worst, in fact in many ways they have improved. This McDonald's is absolutely atrocious. Everything from the presentation of the restaurant, the employees, to the food is of the lowest standard. Once before we have stopped here on our way for vacation, and should have learned our lesson then, I guess it takes making the same mistake twice. This time it's a Sunday at noon, 1 register is open, the line is going out the front door like a nightclub, and the drink machine is broken.. They announce to every new customer that they only have water and milk. What is this?? They're are slow, the restaurant is dirty, not only do children work there; but they also manage it, they are always out of something or not accepting some form of payment, and of course the ice cream machine never works. Agree with other reviewers! The service was the worst I've ever experienced from any McDonald's locations, and I've been to many around the country. I was concerned when I was the only one in line to order with 3 others waiting for their food. A local customer told me it has been this way for 5 years there! If that's the case, the work ethic in this town must be horrible or a management change is needed here desperately! The employees were not only SLOW, they appeared to be totally unorganized. Three of the employees appeared to be arguing about what was needed with one guy standing there with his hands in his pockets! Not many food choices in Citronelle so we go here often. The food is usually same as elsewhere. I don't go here for breakfast much anymore because literally four times in a row I ordered egg white delight and it always is not an egg white but has the yolk and the last employee I pointed it out to honestly didn't seem to know what an egg yolk was. They have fixed it every time but it was taking an extra 10 mins to fix the correct item. Hardee's has them beat on breakfast. read more
