The burger here (I got a cheeseburger) was very good. Chicken and veggie options went down well too. The only disappointment was the poutine, the cheese was a bit sickly. Price wise, it's coming in around £10 for a burger and fries, so it's not the cheapest lunch but given the calorie count better as a treat in any case.

They have an open kitchen which I love, always good to see the chefs preparing your fresh food. The menu is pretty straight forward, burgers and hot dogs and selection of fries and sides to go with them. The food was reasonably priced, the drinks were a little bit expensive but the milkshake I had was delicious. We called in advance to see whether they could accommodate our friend with a dairy allergy and they couldn't of been more helpful with the suggestions they made. The staff were friendly throughout the whole experience. The only let down for me was that they forgot my milkshake, I waited quite awhile as I know they take longer than most drinks but It was quite apparent they had forgot, it wasn't too big a deal though. If you find yourself looking for somewhere casual to eat in Chester this place is cool and the service was fast.

What a great place!…read more 5 of us ate here a few days ago and were mightily impressed. I'm Vegan and the other 4 are carnivores so between us we tried a varied array of dishes. Firstly, Vegan choices are plentiful. I had the battered tofu as a starter and the Vegan burger with sweet potato fries as a main. Both were excellent and, if I'm honest, the burger was one of the best I've had. There were many other Vegan dishes on the menu including curries, Moroccan dishes and so on, all clearly marked. The people with me had meat burgers, pork belly, various chicken dishes and sides. Everyone seemed impressed with their food and the vibe of the place. Needless to say that the choice of beer was impressive and a quick Google search showed that many were suitable for Vegans. The place itself is its own micro-brewery so beer fans shouldn't be disappointed. Staff were friendly enough and the decor and layout of the place were good. Highly recommended!

(Other than potatoes, but you know what I mean.)... and that was a Monday after 3 pm. The pub itself looked pretty nice, with lots of separate seating areas and plenty of tables. The food, however, was just mediocre. Perhaps they were having an off day?

We were visiting Chester for two nights and knew in these Covid times we should book a place for supper. We Googled and consulted YELP and the Atina kitchen had as we now know excellent reviews and sounded interesting and personal. From the moment we walked in and Hannah came to our table our expectations were exceeded. The pappardelle rabbit pasta was a delight and the sauce we guess had been cooked for hours. We followed our simple but brilliant pasta with afogato a dish I have not seen on a menu for decades which had fantastic espresso and a scoop of raspberry ripple again not seen this on a menu for decades and vanilla ice cream. The staff were all very personable and the chef/owner we deduce not only still enjoys cooking but also runs a brilliant individual restaurant in a city of many choices. Go and visit and we think you will not be disappointed.

It´s one of those places that you just can´t quite put your finger on. The decor is an eclectic mix of italian bits and bobs and their posters outside offer ¨theme nights¨ which is normally something that I steer clear from... But Atina is a place that came up time and time again on several internet searchs for a decent brunch in Chester. So with the reviews of many, and my love of breakfast in the afternoon, I gave Atina a go. This has been one of the best decisions I could have made as a new resident of Chester, because I now, have a new favourite restaurant. I opted for the French toast with maple syrup and bacon, my other half went for the full english with an extra portion of haggis and black pudding. They were both amazing, and I have to give a special shout out to the french toast in particular, which was so delicious that we went back the following week to eat it again. I also have to thank them for serving the french toast with back back bacon as it seems much more fashionable (and my personal opinion, much less delicious) to serve the crispy streaky bacon. My only possibly gripe is that there isn´t enough maple syrup given, and when I asked for extra there was an extra charge on the bill. The staff were great and very attentive but not overbearing, and even though the decor is not my personal taste, the outside courtroom at the back of the restaurant is a hidden gem of it´s own. Even if you´re just after a cuppa and a rest after a day of shopping, this courtyard offers a zen-like haven.

It is pretty much your average Wetherspoons, yet average in the sense that the dirty unclean tables, poor vibes with alcoholics drinking throughout the day and the whole place seeming dark and unpleasant which is disappointing, made worse by the horrible smell of people smoking directly outside in the doorway which you don't seem to find anywhere else in Chester. The staff here seem, with all due respect pretty idiotic, after placing my mobile order of a Gunna Lemonade and Mint, I was served a few minutes later but I was given the wrong drink, this was made more puzzling considering he also carried my drink. After I explained the other drink was mine, he looked at me strangely and failed to grasp he'd made a mistake and he still didn't understand which drink was mine - there was no apology for the confusion either. Unlike every other Wetherspoons store I've visited, they only gave me a basic glass with ice, it surely wouldn't have hurt to add a little mint or lemon/lime. Cheap booze but that's pretty much it, yet with a poor overall feel, idiotic staff and tables which seemed really dirty and sticky like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks frankly sums up what I hate in the Wetherspoons brand, which this branch unfortunately showcase. 1*
