The chicken was really good too, it wasn't dry at all and it was perfectly crispy. Both of us got the original chicken. I ordered their tropical shake, it was delicious, he ordered the Mello Yellow, that was also delicious. The service was amazing too, the lady that helped us gave her opinion on the meal we ordered and she was really sweet. I would highly recommend this location for Hardee's, we drove all the way from Holland on the West side of Michigan and we weren't let down at all. The Bubba Wallace car by Lionel Racing is also perfect, the paint and shape of the car matches the real one on point. The only thing about the location that wasn't the best was the parking lot, there were lots of tire killing pot holes that need fixing. We didn't go inside at all but the outside was well kept up(minus the parking lot)

But we just wanted lunch so it was fine! The menu is small but it was fine - we all found something we liked and when one of us didn't, the person behind the counter made her a grilled sandwich to order. I got a grilled chicken BLT. It was not a traditional chicken breast but something along the lines of a chipped chicken lunchmeat. Overall, it was "ok" - it tasted ok and it filled my stomach. The custom grilled sandwich was a tad soggy but tasted "ok" as did the meatball sub. No serious complaints but nothing exceptional either. Maybe it was just our preferences or maybe it was just who was cooking that day. ‍

Certainly nothing fancy looking from the outside, across the street from a rundown outlet mall. There was one guy working the bar and the deli. He was the bartender, cook, waiter and seemingly most everything else. However he was very nice and accommodating for us. We ordered two different sandwiches. All said they were very good food. Not a bad place to get a quick bite if you don't mind simple food in a bare minimum bar type environment.

This weekend we visited after not being here for a bit and were shocked by the changes, which were not for the better. While the food was still tasty. It has shifted for the worse to the point that we might not come back, to be honest. I tried their new snack sandwich, which was a chicken strip with their sauce and a pickle on Texas toast. I really enjoyed it. I also had their grilled tenders, which was a nice touch, they were delicious and a great option for those who do not want fried. The fries were still nice and salty and crunchy. The cheese curds had a nice crunch, but basically no cheese, they were hallow. Their mac and cheesed used to be favorite on par with Popeyes, but this time was dry, not cheesy, and the cracker topping had no flavor. Their meals no longer come with drinks which is no value whatsoever. They took so many items off their menu, like the wings and changed the sandwiches. They took my favorite grilled cheese chicken sandwich off the menu and got rid of the sundaes. You used to be able to order additional chicken strips as singles if you wanted one more, but that was no longer there either. I could not order a single online and they cashier was also not able to do so. It looks like they wanted to take on Cane's but are failing. Honestly, I will just go to Cane's for the strips and sauce, Culver's for the same type of fries and better cheese curds, and Popeyes for the mac and cheese and tenders as well. While everyone there was nice and the food was not bad, I am not spending hard earned money on a place with little value and less options than before.
