Apparently, it's a variation of a classic horseshoe sandwich that originated in Springfield, Illinois. Anyway, my breakfast consisted of a bed of hashbrowns, topped with biscuits, two breakfast sausage patties, all smothered in gravy and topped with two eggs your way (I got them scrambled). It was a gravy drenched delight. The kind of breakfast that will have you saying things like 'whew! That really sticks to your ribs' and 'my tummy is so happy right now.' No? Just me, then? My wife had the open faced turkey sandwich - the gravy greatly helped that dry and somewhat bland turkey. I want to like it more, but the food - I don't know. It has a large diner style menu so, if I'm in the area I'd be happy to try it again. These older style americana diner-ish places need to be kept around, even if they need a little improvement.
